How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

RECEIVED A CALL FROM DELL ONCE. THEN MISSED THE CALL AND CALLED IT BACK AND GOT A PORNOGRAPHIC RECORDING TELLING ME TO ENTER MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER IF I WANTED TO HEAR MORE. WHAT IS THIS ABOUT?
Yeah, I was also expecting a call from Dell this morning. I missed it, but when I called back it was a sex-line. I listened long enough to find out that it starts with a woman moaning and then eventually gets to a part where she lists prices, etc.
I would think people would have complained to Dell about this now and they would be aware of this... maybe they are trying to make a few extra bucks.
I got the same thing, missed phone call, called it back and had some chick moaning in my ear.
Figured I just paid $5,000 for a 3 second call.
Good to know that Dell is trying to either get back with me about my laptop, or give me something fun to listen too!

It is Dell...I had a number of issues with an order two weeks ago, and this is the line they use to call you back on. I have been unable to get ahold of Dell by calling back however...as "Andy" said above, there is a woman screeming when you call. It sounds like a porno hotline or something. Bizzare. Anyway, glad I found some help here atleast.
I returned the call and got some bizzare recorded sounds. Sounded like a woman getting off. I am going to contact verizon and have it removed from my calls list.
YES. This IS Dell. They will only call if youhave called them with an issue and the rep is doing follow-up.
It is Dell. I've had some issues with an order and this is one of their customer service lines.
