THERE IS A WAY TO STOP THE CALLS.
One of many people who call for the people who used to have our phone number... apparently they had debt so I am getting to know about debt collectors. This company (which I believe represents Best Buy) called every day for about a week. The automated recording had an option to press if they had not reached the right number, but they continued to call anyway. I pressed 0 until I got a recording that gave me a number I could call - when I did, I explained that I was not the person they were trying to reach and was promised the calls would stop. So far so good.
(Of course, if you are the person they are trying to reach, then the way to stop the calls is to pay off your debts.)
Call every week and hang up
Call several times a week and hangup

I keep getting automated calls on my cell phone from this number. They are trying to contact a person I don't even know.
I've yet to pick one of these calls up, but I get about 2 a day.
Once I pay this off, I will never finance anything through Best Buy again. These people are out of their minds, just got my first (FIRST) bill from them Tuesday, and they have been calling 3 times a day since Monday.
Received this call daily, every day, for the last five to seven days... it's an automated system that says it is HSBC and they keep asking for the last four digits of my SSN.
I have a lot of these calls comming in daily. Most show the same thing on the ID box, "Toll Free." My wife and don't have any credit cards. We paid them all off about 3 years ago and haven't gone back to them. These are collection agencies was looking for someone other than us. We've come up with two techno-geak methods of handling this. We now own a pair of cordless phones with built in caller ID. Before we answer, we check the display. If it's someone we don't recognise, we either don't answer or we do a quick pick up and hang up. I also installed a switch on the incomming line. Position one rings through to the house phones. Position two disconnects the line from the house. I also connected a caller ID box ahead of the switch so that if we do place it in position two we at least know if someone we know did try to call in that we need to call back. Most of the time the switch is in position #1. But, at dinner time we place it in position #2. The switch has permitted us to go back to uninterupted calm relaxing evenings, sans frustration from dealing with idiots who can't fix their own problems. By the way the switch used is a two pole two position toggle switch available from All Electronics Corp. Allelectronics.com is their web address for anyone interested in doing what we did. By the way, this is totally legal as long as it's on your side of the phone companies equipment connection to your house.
need names and home phones for callers from this number. $$ if good . write to imjondoe@gmail
HSBC manages / operates the Best Buy credit card. If you miss a payment / late on a payment, then they will call you 2-3 times per day every day until your payment is processed. I missed one payment by 5 days and the calls started, and they continued for a WEEK after the payment was made because their systems hadn't been synchronized. Calls originate from a call center in El Paso TX for HSBC.
Receive about 5 calls per day from this number, but no one is there when I answer.
This number has called twice - no message left.
They leave a message for a Leslie. I've called them back and told them not to call. It stopped for about two weeks..and is now starting up again. I'll try their website too.
they never tell you who they are calling for and they just leave messages.
Just frickin' activated my cell phone 12 hours ago, only informed on person on this globe and this was my first call received.
Glorious.
They keep calling, even though their robot was flagged that this number is the wrong one for the person they want to talk to.
They have a website, I'm going to bug them until they stop.
They leave a message for somebody I don't know and want him to call back. Guy must owe them some money, or its just a telemarketer.
The call everyday around 8:45 AM and it is just a recording. It even leaves a voicemail everyday.
HSBC- late with payment-call everyday leave message to call back-automated call
