calls repeatedly, asking for someone who doesn't work or live here. I tell them it's the wrong number every time. tonight after another call at 8pm, i questioned the caller, they said it was Wells Fargo, but then admitted they actually work for DCS, (a collections company) they would not give me the address of DCS. I asked for a supervisor and told them I was recording the call, and she hung up.
yea my boyfriend got screwed by these guys. they kept calling his house and his mom would ask for a message. they hang up. they called and he answered the phone. they told him about the extra cash program and said to send him a brochure. well they sent him an envelope confirming that he was signed up for it and it was 'signed' from the VP of wells fargo: Robert Dudacek, Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. but anyways. my boyfriend went to the bank, said some company signed him for some insurance thing and he didnt authorize it. bank said okay, we'll watch your account to make sure it doesnt happen.....BULL SH*T! the Extra Cash company withdrew $ two times making him overdraft. he asked the bank if they had any idea they said no. I came home and googled the number. found this site and a bunch of others but thats it. not official website. But here's the catch. Robert Dudacek is really the VP of wells fargo(he is in CALIFORNIA), and the other company that is involved with Extra cash is Central States Indemnity(omaha NEBRASKA). sooo i googled CSI....the company is real, they actually offer an Extra Cash program..but the phone number is 888-668-6839....the fraud number is 800-260-9883. so this WHOLE thing is a HUUUUGGGEEEE SCAAMMM!!! do not use wells fargo or the Extra cash program!!!
this is wells fargo and they want to charge you 25 a month for a service that supposedly will give you 300 if you are fired from your job... i have called a couple times to cancel that.. but for some reason im still getting charged.. and i just called today but it was saturday.. and they were closed... how convinient for them...
i hate wells fargo they keep calling with services that i have to call to cancell and to cancell it is such a hassle...
They asked for my daugher, she said "hello" and then they didn't say anything. I called this number pack, but it said my call cannot be completed as dialed.
This is the second time I have received a call from this number in the last two days and had received calls many time previous to this. They do not leave messages. I called the number and it said it was Wells Fargo Extra Cash. I blocked that number. Seems that just because we have a loan there, they feel they can call anytime or any day.
Called twice on 6-03-08 @ 9:29am and 1:31pm. It showed up unavailable. They also called me from another # (800) 869-3557 on
4-15-08 @ 9:26am, 4-25-08 @ 3:06pm, 4-28-08 time? and 4-29-08 @ 11:22am. It also showed up unavailable.
Received two calls so far. They hang up when it hits the answering machine.

I think perhaps it's time to call Qwest, I'm sick to death of receiving these calls. There has to be a way to file a formal complaint somewhere and I intend to find it. It seems most of our calls are from some "Toll Free" number that is not identifiable. The number of calls is ridiculous.
A lot of comments that they are calling because they are a Wells Fargo customer. I am not a customer and I still get their calls every day. I am on the do not call list, and have requested to be put on their do not call list several times. Don't they get it, "I AM NOT INTERESTED"
I get numerous calls from them every day. If I am not home they do not leave a message. When I am home, I can't hardly understand them and when I ask questions they hang up. When I called them back I hear, Thank you for calling Central States Wells Fargo endorsed provider of extra cash".
For a couple of weeks we were getting several hang up calls from 18002609883 and finally I got a hold of a live "agent" (Claudia at extension 8531). I told her I was on the National Do Not Call list and when asked if she was aware of the law and she seemed oblivious to it. I was told that if I ever had any affiliations with Wells Fargo that would probably be how they got my number. Gave her my number so she could have it removed. Said it takes about 30 days. Told me to call Wells Fargo as well. When I did that they removed my number from all consumer phone call lists. He seemed to not care that this site (whocalled.us) existed or that people don't like the fact that we get hang up calls all day long. Oh, and when I asked Claudia at ext 8531 for an address to file a formal complaint she said there was not an address to write to. There are so many things wrong with this its not funny.
I answered the phone accidently & they asked for me. It came up "unavailable" on Caller ID. I am a Wells Fargo customer so I assume it was them reading thru the messages here.
They called me 60 days ago, I refused coverage and asked them to please not call again. They started calling today again. They said that every time the company changes campaigns I will become eligible for calls again and I need to contact WF directly to be taken off the list.

I am a customer of Wells Fargo but they will not leave a message. I get about 6 to 8 calls a week.
I have gotten several calls during the past week from this number. I have caller ID and since I don't recognize the number I don't answer, and they don't leave a message. I'm happy to get the information on this site, and to read from others who have had this experience. It certainly is irritating. And yes, I'm a Wells Fargo customer.
I RECIEVED A CALL FROM THIS NUMBER AT MY PLACE OF WORK, i TOLD THEM THAT THIS WAS A BUSINESS AND POLITELY HUNG UP. HOWEVER I CHECKED THE NUMBER AFTER WORDS AND IT WAS WELLS FARGO, I AM ON THE DO NOT CONTACT LIST FOR TELA-MARKETERS AT HOME AND MY CELL, HOW IS IT THEY GOT MY WORK NUMBER?
Getting 2-3 calls per day at work from this number. They do not leave messages.

Received about 20 calls in the last 2 1/2 weeks from this number. I called them back and was told I would be removed in a day or so. They are calling because I am a Wells Fargo customer and they are partnered with them or something. I don't blame them for trying to sell an add-on to a current customer but I think they should set a limit for max number of call attempts so as not to annoy us.

I've been getting many phone calls from this number. Finally was able to catch somebody there (normally they hang up on me). I had to drag the information out of the woman there. They wanted to sell us tell us about the Extra Cash but refused to give more detail than that.
called and asked for my spouse, even though we are both listed on mortgage, etc...wouldn't leave message for him or name...I called back and they amicably took name, number & said they would placeon their no call list....we'll see :)
I didn'st answer then the phone rang and the person did not leave a message. But when I called the number back, a recorded message said "Thank you for calling Central States, a Wells Fargo approved provider of extra cash"

I called it back and the recording says "thank you for calling Wells Fargo Central States provider for extra cash. Must be some type of offer program Wells Fargo is running--they are our mortgage company.
I called them back when I saw the number on CID - they are an "authorized" 3rd party telemarketing group working for Chase, BOA, and Wells. I was not confrontational (we have been receiving calls for someone who does not live here) and the representative was very polite. He agreed to notify the big 3 on your behalf. FYI, there may be other numbers associated as well as they do service more than one customer.
