FYI, I got the call today from 8772951280. I asked the man whom he was calling from, and he did not answer at first, saying " i have three questions about the upcoming election", or similar. I am in western NY, fyi.
I asked whom he was working for, answer "I don't know".
Who is conducting the survey? "IDK"
Who hired you? "I work independently". Who pays you? "IDK"
I am on a do not call list, why are you calling me? "I will add you to our do not call list".

i called the number back and got voicemail for cg hotline; however it states that the mailbox is full
and to press another number; anymore, when 800 or 888 or 877 or 866 numbers call i just let them ring
through and see if whoever is calling to leave a message. when this number called i answered and she
identified two of my family members and i don't like that if she can't say in what regard this call
was about. i wish you had a hotline to block all unwanted 800 numbers called. this gets frustrating.

My email account was hacked into last week. My caller ID shows 2 calls today from TCG (4:18pm and 7:19pm). Another call received 7:45pm from 954-600-1632, Name shows an Anthony Parets.I do not know him. These may be connected.

This caller calls me 8 or 9 times a day. I don't answer it but I heard it is a republican calling to confuse indis....which I am.

the call my house everyday, I call back the number on the caller ID and it says the mailbox is full. They also leave no message. I figured out who they were from the internet. Seems, I not the only on you they abuse. They call themselves CG Hotline, but they are really, Omni Credit Service. When I left a message, I stated for them to call me back to see what this was in reference to, I do not have any delinquent debts, also didn't know if they were another solitor ignoring the do not call registry. I found Omni's number on line, called them and she told be first, 'we don't have your phone # listed" , then when I proceeded to explain I knew who they were and I don't owe any debt and to stop calling my phone, she said'oh, we'll remove your phone #". These people maybe collecting a debt for someone or whatever, but there business sense is more like a scam...thank you for your time.

Got a call yesterday then again tonight at 9 pm from the same number finally I called it and it was a recording CG Hotline. The msg left from a woman on my answering machine was Hello Hello then nothing then thank you that was last night. Tonight was Hello Hello then nothing then this is the Jeff Green Campaign. Then they hung up. At 9 pm I am still at work and I sure in the heck am not accepting calls from any campaign. My decisions to vote for who I vote is my own and no one elses. I dont appreciate these late night calls.

Have been out of town for several days. Upon returning I found several calls a day from this number. I do not answer calls that show as "toll free call" on caller ID. I do not care which campaign is calling me, I make up my mind independently; certainly I would not take comment from some unknown person on a cold call. For the record, I will not vote for an incumbent nor will I vote for a career politician this year. I think every elected official in Washington should loose their job. I vote to fire all of them and I will be relieved when this primary and general elections are over!

I heard that this is Kendrick Meeks Campaign calling in the name of Jeff Greene to confuse and piss off people. Guess it's working.

The call came to my husband's cell 4 times in the last two days. It is listed as The CG Hotline when you call it back. In the posts below, you can find the website, which lists a WPB county phone number of 561-249-7880 and a young woman answers - she will take your number and name down and have you removed from their list with no further questions or hassles. I think she has gotten a lot of these calls because she practically cut me off at every sentence. Good luck, all.

Just so everyone knows, the do not call list applies to telemarketers. The Clinton Group/ American Directions Group are NOT telemarketers.

I don't usually answer these calls, but I broke that rule today. It was a Jeff Green for Senate caller. When I said, "You must be joking!", she was polite enough to say, "No, I'm not, Ma'am." I didn't allow her to get much farther than that, except to suggest that maybe he should go buy another state.

This number called my cell 10 times in ONE DAY!!!! First time I called back the number it was a voice mail box saying 'CG Hotline' but it was full. Have them on my phone's blocked caller list (which rings once as it recognizes the number) but they are very insistent and kept trying.

We have had 2 calls, 27 minutes apart. Both times, there was no one on the other end of the line. I called the # back both times, only to be dirrected right to "an automated voice message system" ... almost as if it were a person who didn't set up their cell phone voice mail.

I just recieved a call at 6:35pm. Same story, nobody there. I used to be with the phone company (Ma Bell). and these are computer generated calls to see if your number is a valid working line. They are usually sold to telemarket companies. The best thing to do is push the # key 6 or 7 times as fast as you can and it will delete your number from their computer. Best of luck to all.

Caller wanted me to listen to a nonsense story about voting, they wanted my SS number and DOB.. Caller was a very smooth talker, wanted to know who I banked with and for how long? As soon as I explained I was a Cop ( and I am a Cop ) they hung up on me.. be careful with these dirt bags and report them to your Local Law-Enforcement agency if you receive more then 2 calls from them. Tell the Law-Enorcement agency you are demanding what is called in florida a " harassing phone call complaint with an agency case number. Keep tracks of the date and times you receive the call, keep note male or female, ask for names and ID numbers of that person Each State has similar laws to cover you and protect you.. I was not home when they called at 9:35 am. My caller ID showed the number but where a name should go it said "Toll Free Number". I, too, am on the "Do not call" list (that list is so bogus. It is not doing any good).

Calls all the time. One time it was some guy promoting some politican but I hung up. I was at WORK!

As you can see from their website, they are telemarketers. That's why these comments have various call reasons associated with them (i.e. Support for Obama, raise money, etc...)

"800-260-9125" was a number left on our caller ID screen numerous times. This caller has repeatedly called our home several times a day for weeks. When we answer, the line is silent. They have never left a voice mail message when no one at our home answers their annoying calls. I called this number back today, and left a voicemail message telling "CG HOTLINE" to discontinue these harassing calls to our telephone number, and that we are registered with the national "DO NOT CALL LIST" - and we are reporting them to the FCC immediatley. I am glad I found your website to leave my one small voice in with the crowd of others like just us. Thank you.

To find the names of some of the officials of this company, visit their web site at theclintongroup.net, and click on "site map" at the bottom of the page. There you will find a link to personnel where you can get names. Go back to the phone and use their directory to get phone extensions.

Perhaps if thousands of us call them this way, they'll get the meessage, but I doubt it. Perhaps the best way to stop this crap is to find a law firm that is willing to take on a class action suit

Calls every day after I put my kids to bed. Very annoying. No answer ever. It's been going on for weeks. Called the number a few times. The asshole asked for my wife. When I asked who it was, he said it was a call with some political questions and quickly tried to get off the line by saying he would call back later. Our phone has been ringing off the hook from the number 800-260-9125. When I answer there is nobody there. Today there was actually somebody there and I ask to be taken off of the call list for that company. I asked who was calling and they said it was a short political poll.

Basically I was trying to note that on this very page it says the actual company doing the calling is apparently The Clinton Group. Do a search on this page.

In answer to your question, we can't be watching the entire internet - we only have 50 employees, and there are hundreds (if not thousands) of sites where people can complain. Fortunately we're not consumer-focused, so we don't really worry about it - it's just the downside of having a three-letter domain name!

You're obviously confused. Just because the company is called "TCG Hotline", whatever that is, doesn't mean it has anything to do with tcg.com. Look at our website - does it look like we have anything to do with politics? Does it seem like we would have any reason to call a private individual? No, if we're calling you it's because you're a client or a potential client who works for the federal government. And we're not calling from an 800 number.

Once, I spoke, a politcal recording, missed his name, heard him refer to his Viet Nam service. I hung up on this, and yet - the calls keep coming in!! Other responses I just read were from 2006-2007. I'm now referring to July/August 2008. Am on No Call list too, political calls don't have to abide by that! This is harrassement. I'm pretty sure the voice said it was the democratic party - next time I'll answer, try to hear his name, and go to the democratic website and complain!

This is a telemarketer. They call people who have placed their number on the no-call list. They are hoping you call them back and leave your number for them to call you. If you do, be warned, you are no longer protected by the no-call rules because you initiated the contact. You will never get a real person to talk to, only the answering machine...until you leave them the info they are asking for. I called them back and threatened to contact my lawyer to file a lawsuit if they continued the harrassing, no answer phone calls. Maybe everyone who gets a phone call from this company should leave a similar message and carry it through if they call.

Calls received- May 14th at 12:32 PM, May 15th at 12:23 PM and May 15th 1:15 PM. Got a call from TCG Hotline (showed up as unknown on caller ID). Person asked for my husband by his legal name, which he never uses. Refused to give me company address, claimed security reasons. Claimed to be calling for Planned Parenthood League. (We are pro-choice but are listed with PPL under our nicknames, not our legal names.) After I got transferred a couple of times (I kept asking for supervisor), I got someone who said that PPL wanted pro-choice people to show up at a meeting/hearing called by anti-choice people on May 13 at a local college. Hearing involved a move by Planned Parenthood League of Massachusetts from one address to another in Worcester. When I told the guy that PPL's move had already been approved and that there was no point in any meetings because PPL had already satisfied the city's requirements and the PPL clinic would be moving, he said that TCG was only hired to have those supporting PPL show up at the meeting. He again refused to give an address, supposedly for security reasons. He did remove our phone number from his list; he said that he had gotten my husband's legal name from voting rolls.

This number was used for a local candidate's bank of callers urging voters to vote for him during the upcoming election. They called several times a few weeks before the primary and finally started to leave a message the day before the election.

I recieved a call and was really quite pleased with the person calling. Although I don't have a whole lot of time on my hands because I work and have a life - still, even if I was bored blind with nothing better to do, I seriously doub't I would take out my misdirected rage on someone who was, themselves, working and trying to improve the state of the country through research and polling for an upcoming election or reminding me to Get Out To Vote. Got this call on my mobile phone for the first time. I answered, and the call disconnected within five seconds, and nothing was said by the person (automated system?) placing the call. I telephoned back on a different phone, and after four rings, and also got the voice mail message: "You have reached the CG Hotline. Please leave your name, phone number, and the purpose of your call". Not very happy receiving this call. The phone number did come up on the caller ID of my phone. This 800/260-9125 phone number called my home and asked for my son. I said that he wasn't home and I asked what this call was in reference to and if I could take a message. The woman stated "NO" and hung up on me. This made me very angry because if someone stops what they're doing to take time to answer the phone, then the person on the other end could have the decency to explain who they were and why they are calling.

I BELIEVE that "political calls" are excluded from the Do Not Call law. The politicians who passed the law wanted to make sure they would be allowed to call anyone they want to gather politicial support- for them or for their allies...

You are probably looking for Teleport Communications Group, a large telephone and cable company, that was purchased in 1997 by AT&T. All requests that previously went to that TCG should now go to AT&T. Simply call them, tell them you're looking for TCG, and (if you reach someone sufficiently knowledgeable) they will have no trouble helping you.

Got my first call today from this number and judging from the prior posts here, probably not my last. Not surprising to hear that it might be a political polling call. I've been getting carpet-bombed by weird "TOLL FREE CALL" and "UNKNOWN NAME" caller ID's for over a month now. I'm rarely home when they call and even if I am I won't answer. They never leave messages either. I can only hope that when election day passes they will subside.

It seems like a good candidate for the telephone abuse. I will email at least someone there to determine if they are the culprits. Perhaps, if it is they and they get enough emails, they will take the time and money to fix their self-reputation destroying problem.

calls several times a day, will not identify themselves, i called back and got a recording that the voicemailbox was full. ARGH

I've been getting these calls too. They hang up when I answer. Same message when I try calling back.

I can tell everyone what this is now that I spoke to them. They're basically a research company doing polling for the upcoming election. They want to know who you're most likely to vote for. They asked me about the senate and congressional race.

Called multiple times. Once while finally home I picked up and they asked for my wife by name. I told the woman she wasn't available and she said she'd call back and hung up. My call blocking didn't accept number.

My cell says "Name Unknown" and I get the same answering machine as everybody else when I return the call. I got the call on Friday and again today, Monday.

Called and asked for me. My wife told them I was unavailable and they refused to leave a message even after she identified herself as my wife.

Calls every day. Says "unknown caller" on my caller ID. No one on the other end. Never leaves a message.

unknown name- 800 260 9125; They call and hang up- returned call and only recieved that it was TCG tol free hotline. I requested a number removal since i was on the Do not call list

Calls at least once a day, & never leaves a message. Caller id only provides the number, when called it says "welcome to TCG toll-Free" and tells you to leave a message.

Also get calls from this number constantly but without a message left on answering machine. Caller ID said "Not Available." Callback indicates TCG Hotline and asks for information on why I'm calling.

Calls Constantly--Nvr leaves message. Recalled--Voice message says--You're reached TCG's toll free hotline. At the tone please leave your phone number and the purpose of your call. No prompt to be excluded from solicitation.

Phone showed "INCOMPLETE DATA" with no number, used *69 to retrive. When answering, only silence was on the line, hung up after a few seconds.

Tried calling on Skype, phone ringed a few times and automatic voicemail picked up.

"... the voice mailbox belonging to" followed by a good ten/twenty seconds of pure silence.
