Get this call every couple of days, wanting to speak to some guy that I've never heard of. Best to just delete and ignore since Do Not Call registry doesnt seem to block these numbers.

The have called me several times looking for somebody else. said press 2 if not correct person, also gave # to call some guy if I was correct person. I called the 1-800 # and told them they were harrasing me and had called a do not call # and that there was nobody here by the name they were calling for. Gave warnning I would report them to FTC's office if they did not stop calling.

I get calls form them every week or so... It's the office of Alliance One, a Junk Debt Buyer. Collection Agency. NOt a good idea to talk to them...if your convo is not recorded anyhow... the voicemail wanted me to talk to "Mrs. King".

Call Mrs. King at AOI

!!!!This company goes after individuals for suposed unpaid bills from years prior. The claim they have on file is often several years old before they ever notify you.

I have caught Med. and Dental offices charging patients for work not done. They do this inorder to recover money that insurance companies will not pay them because thier fees are inflated and are above the agreement limit set in their contract with your insurance co..

The Dr. will often resubmit bills to insurance or the client after the bill has been disputed and resubmit it to the client calling the service rendered something entirely different in order to extract $$ they could not get from you the first time.

They bank on you forgeting the work you had done or not knowing what the tests or procedures where called.

Either way...medical offices often resubmit these claims after many years and sometimes the collection agencies will submit claims already paid in order to get more money...

Apparently some robot wants "Rebecca Jolly" to call "Mrs. King".

I have received many of these calls over the past several months. A synthesized voice requests a person (whose name I can not understand) to call AOI at 1-800-254-9917.

November 3rd, 2006 John CA

One more of many of these calls over the last couple of months. Synthesized voice asks for person (often mis-pronounced) to call the "offices of AOI". Some calls have said to "Call Mrs. King at AOI."

Left a message butchering the pronunciation of my first name. Wanted me to call the 'Offices of AOI'. Didn't bother

How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker or something like Nomorobo.
