These people picked the most inopportune time to call--my dad had just passed away. The man would not take any excuse for me not to want to talk and discuss this account which has been charged off by Capitol One. May your headset be infested with the eggs and larvae of a hundred hornets!

Wireless caller traced to Sprint (PCS)
After reading this, not answering - I don't have a Capital One card.

If the calls continue reporting to CA Attorney General

Not leaving messages, *69 says "call cannot be completed as dialed"

I can trace it to Chicago (Congress) Is that a city? (I know Chicago is...but the other part)

The lady represented herself as a collector for Aspire Visa. Very Very rude...sd knew statute of limitations on our account expired (Last January) but that they will continue to call until we pay.

We recieved a call from this number today, 1/10/2007. On Caller ID it showed up just as a wireless caller. The Caller has a really deep voice and was asking for a Marcia Gamez. We informed the caller that she does not live here but he was very insistent and also insinuated that we were covering for this Marcia lady.

Missed call from this number. Shows up as number and that it is out of Illinois. Only a busy signal when you return the call.

I have just finished chemotherapy and radiation and to my knowledge do not owe this caller or Capital One any money. I have informed them if they can do anything to me to crank it up. After cancer treatment I do not need their harassing phone calls.

Did not answer this number! Just the number showed up on caller ID, not a name.

Caller continues to call. I have caller select program that screens unknown numbers. The number shows up on caller id as wireless caller.

Collection agency for Capital One--uses a dialing operator to forward call; call is not functional and faked on caller ID. Forwarded to the MN Attorney General.

Caller continues to call here for someone who does not live here. The 800 number they provide is ARS, a collection agency. I have asked them repeatedly not to keep calling here for that person.

How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker:
