This is a credit card scammer. They also use the number 646-558-5645. Trying to get your correct SSN# and personal info. STOP CALLING!!! I read about these guys using the other number. Same outfit who called 2 days ago. They are calling my damn cell phone.

They have now started on the UK. Phone call received 3pm 9 Nov. They kept me on phone for 2 hours. Sounded very plausible,said all I needed to pay was £125 each for my wife and I to cover taxes, but it would not be payable until I took up the offer by booking the trip some time in the next 18 months Asked for the first twelve numbers on my bank card. At that point I insisted on getting it in writing first. After some argument, the phone was put down.

Called this number - got a "your call cannot be completed as dialed" message.

I'm from montreal and got the call. Jai recu l'appel a Montreal. I did click the 9 cause I wanted to argue with the scammer but it hung up.

I was supposed to win a carrebean tour ... after 20 min it ended up being a sale a very low price. I insisted to get offer by mail without success. I had to hang-up as 'Jeremy' was not understanding I would not agree over the phone.

Repeated calls to my cell (Toronto Canada). My cell only rings for people in my phone directory, so I normally only see these numbers when I look at my phone to take or receive a real call. This number's called five times in the past two weeks. No messages were left.

Got the call last night at 838pm no message. Love this site...

Automated message claiming I had won a trip on a cruise ship and had to press the number 9 on my key pad. I did not press 9. I waited. Nothing. Hung up.

They have been calling my number for over a year. I have blocked them but they try another number. VERY ANNOYING

I love these kinds of calls. "you have won a free cruise" Pfht Like that doesn't scream scam. I've seen this happen to cell phone users with the company I work for. You stay on the line you end up with like $1000 in international charges.

Got the call about a month ago. We just returned from our wonderfull free week long vacation in the Dominican. It was amazing... all inclusive... even drinks were free. I really hope the call again so I can go in the spring.

Calls and no ones there. Calling a business line and is disturbing our line.

They've called 9 times in the last three hours. Nobody there when I answer.
So much for a good nights sleep before working a midnight shift tonite :(

No need to be rude. Obviously, not everybody here has heard of that scam.

As for the rest of us (who haven't been pressing "9"), we've been trying to get through to a real person when these jokers call. How else do you expect Canadians (who do not, at present have a "Do Not Call" registry... as you should well know being in London, ON) to notify this company that their calls are not welcome?

Good Grief, You idiots you get told the facts and ignore it, read Calgary's post 2007-07-10. THEY ARE LOOKING FOR COMMERCIAL ESTABLISHMENTS THAT USE 9 to obtain an outside line. Its a very old dumb scam that does not work anymore except on outdated commercial equipment. If you are a household number the worst they can do is irritate you. Reading some of the responses here and you can see why they picked Canada.

They called in June before, flogging some supposedly free Caribbean vacation for just $nnn dollars. That's not free - that's bull$hyte. Getting phone number scanning software soon! Enough of this crap...

im old, so i answer evertime the phone rings and pretend its one of my kids.

my oldest kid called me 2 years ago, we are not fighting or anything like that, he is just busy.

First of all, LMAO @ Randy for his / her comment! I have had 2 calls from Florida, didn't answer either but checked them out online. Didn't know about this site until just now. I don't recall the first #. But what I want to know is if it's a free trip, why are they asking for your credit card info? It's a "FREE" trip isn't it??

Received several calls from this company. If the number is called back, you can get on their, "DO NOT DISTURB" listing.

in vancouver..got a call..immediately thought scam...told them if they waanted credit info they could save their breath. they did their thing and passed me onto another "supervisor" and she explained that it was very safe to give c.c. info on the phone...i got her name and url "4vacations.net" and checked it out...not even a registared web domain..."tina" gave me 1800 830-6375 as a call back number and same info comes back...i'm sooo lonely i'll talk to anyone :)

I get the same calls (from Florida). My parents get them to - sometimes they leave messages, sometimes not. Been happening for at least 2 weeks now.

had a call from this # and from 2312242054 and its the same thing didnt answer just looked it up online and came across whocalledus and read all the comments, wont ever answer it but i noticed it started happening after i hooked up in facebook and have my # in there

I didn't answer the call-hit reject and no voice mess left ofcourse.

If you don't recog an LD number on a call-don't answer. Let them leave a VM (most times they won't)to see if it was a call you should know about.

Barrie ON - First call I've recieved. Must be sequential dialing since my home line is unlisted (or at least bell canada claims it is...)

Southern Ontario. I now answer calls saying " blah blah private investigators" or some such drivel and they don't call back

These guys call at all hours during the day so I put them in my 'do not accept call' list and use my computers built in modem with CID capabilities combined with and a freeware utility to auto hangup on them.
Works like a charm.

Yes, it is true that if you press 9 they can connect quickly to somewhere else in the world and you will be billed. It is mostly on a 'centrex' line - the kind you have to dial '9' for an outside line (at work) These guys are trying to hit and miss. If you press 9 - they will get a dial tone and if you press 9 on a normal type (home) line - they don't get the dial tone - so they hang up on you. Hope this helps sort of explain it.

Got a call just now. Right before that, my phone rang one, long continuous ring and the Caller ID number was 000-000-0000...I didn't answer either call...

They might tell you to subscribe to their state Do Not Call list though ($10/year).

This number called me and I am in Delhi(Canada)and I let the machine get it and they never left a message. I checked it out and its a number from Clearwater fl. THe number came up unknow name but the number came up.. Im tired of these telemarketters.. stop calling. I will not answer the phone and press any number for anyone.. thanks.. lets try to track these ppl and get rid of them..

Live in Toronto. Got the call from this number. Said I'd won a free cruise..and to press 9 to claim it, or press 8 to be added to their do not call list. I did neither. Just put them on mute/speaker phone and waited for them to hang up which they did do eventually.

10.30 am EST ( Toronto) No voice mail - *69 provided the number. I tried calling it back ( from a pay phone) and the number is not in service. Looks like it is a computer generated call.

This number showed up on my Caller ID today, and after reading the comments I'm glad I didn't pick it up. All it said was it was from FL.

Similar to other reports. Usually these co.s will put ur number on a 'do not call' list as they don't want to be regulated, in this case a very rude person said in response 'I'll make sure I call you again'. Reported they are in Florida.

FYI -- after I was hung up on, there were a series of hang-up, clicks, dialtone, and I was unable to hang up for a few minutes. According to the RCMP in Canada, pressing 9 doesn't result in charges on your phone line, but that's Canada, so YMMV.

They have called me twice. Once they left an automated message on my answering machine. And this morning they called me at 6:53 AM!!! Sooo annoying. I would love to find out who I have "won this trip" from so i can call them and thank them very early in the morning.

I hear that if you push the number 9 you will be billed a whole ton of charges on your bill. It opens a link for the caller to use your line for long distance charges. I cant seem to block the number either, That sucks!

I stayed on the phone and it started ringing again. Someone picked up again but couldn't hear me say "Can you hear me?" (or they didn't want to answer). i've heard that when you press 9, it is a 3rd party (usually from prison) that wants you to press 9 and when you do, it links them with a long-distance # and you end up paying for it!

I pressed nine and some guy sounding like a teenager says "Hello!" and I say "Remove me from your call list please..." he says "Yea" and hangs up.
