Who Called Us

They call 10 times daily and I tell them to take me off their call list. Comes up RX Pharmacy and they say they are calling about an existing merchant account. Gave me a name Sofie and to call her back at 866-811-1005. Now they call and hang up when I answer. When I called them to have them take us off their call list, they were very nasty and said "I" was the one who called them. then they claimed they never heard of a "Sofie" working there.

The were speaking spanish and VERY broken english, said tey thought they were calling Mexico. (We are 757 area code- VA)

Called today at 9:52 Am CST. Guy with a heavy New York accent. Call was very static. Said he was with a Financial Institute and would like to send me some information. I said "No Thank You" and he hung up.

The other night at 2 in the morning i got a withheld call & i just brushed it off thinking it was a wrong # & then they started calling more & more & if i ignored the call theyd call back twice as much & when i answered it sounded like i was on mute. They called me until 5 am & i finally put my husband on & they stayed on a lot longer then they were before & then stopped calling. This morning i got a call from this # & didnt answer & when i called back it asked fora code. And it said legal services on my phne... from what other peple are saying im wondering if this is the same person/company

Caller id said "legal services" but since i didn't recognize the number i didn't answer. probably some telemarketer or bank people. they didn't leave a message so i guess it wasn't that important.

I got called the first time a few days ago. I answered it, it showed it was from "Legal Services"
No one answered. I was like, you got 5 seconds to answer. 4.. 2... Bye asshole.
Don't call me again.

So, today just now. I was like, who the hell is "Legal Services" because they just called, for which I looked who they were. Looks like scam artists hoping to listen to a female voice.

I didn't answer this time because they didn't answer the first time.

I heard a voice for a split second, then they hung up. I called back, and a recording asked for an authorization code.

I just recived the call and the number comes up as New York the person hung up when i picked up the phone sounded like a house phone that hung up i thought maybe they had the wrong #....

Some how my mother called from this number (lives in NC). She has one of those bottom of the line, cheap, VoIP phone connections. I suspect that is why people are getting different people each time.

They have been calling me from this number every day. The first day, I picked up the phone and no one answered. Now they call everyday. My phone rings twice and they hang up.

Message on answering machine said continue to wait. Sounded computerized.

Left a message with an 866 phone number but no other information. I don't answer numbers I don't recognize.

Just called claiming to be a courtesy call from Bank of America. I highly doubt that.

This number called..I answered it and said hello three times but no one said anything so I hung up.

I had 4 calls in one morning from this number on my caller ID. 2 back to back at 8:17am and 2 back to back at 8:45am. No message was left. When I called the umber back to see who it was, a recording asked for an authorization code.

Occasionally I sign up for accounts and various things online. Some of them require a phone number. Every time I do a batch of sign ups, I end up with a few spam calls like these. Recently, I began signing up to a bunch of 'get paid to take surveys' sites (some of these are legitimate, btw). And now I'm getting a few of these calls. And I see that some others are saying that they are asking for age groups and the kind of people living at home. These are exactly the questions asked on the online surveys.

I'm on the 'do not call' list, but I don't know exactly how it works. I always opt out of the phone surveys when I sign up if they give me the option, but some don't. Anyway, if they don't stop after a few calls, I'll report them, and let 'em deal with the feds. I have not opted in for any phone stuff that I know of.

I didn't answer and they didn't leave a message. I tried calling at about 11pm Central time (so I would know no one would answer). It didn't say the company, it just asked to enter an authorization code. When I didn't enter anything, another message (with a different voice) gave a message similar to a phone company error message (but it wasn't from the phone company) basically stating I needed an authorization code. When I tried again and just pushed numbers I got a different message stating I entered an invalid authorization number... weird.

Caller ID INDICATED RX PHARMACY 718-487-1051. The man said he was representing a creditor and wanted a payment in full. I told him that I would like to work out a payment arrangement. Said he wanted my checking or savings acct. number. When I told him no, he threatened to have our case forwarded to a court. He sounded like he was from the eastern US.

No ID available. Lady said she was calling about tv show survey. Asked me my name. I asked her who she
was calling and why she was calling me if she didn't know my name. I then hung up.

I just got a call from this number. The caller ID said 'New York'. The guy told me they were doing a survey about TV shows. He asked if there were any women living in the home that were ages 18-34, then 35-49, then any males living in the home ages 18-59. When I said "no" to the 3rd one, he asked, "none who are just there now or there aren't any living there?" This sort of scared me...are they looking for a home where there are only women? I just told him no to all and he said thank you and hung up.

This number called me twice but i don't answer calls to numbers i don't recognize. I just rejected it. Also how are they getting ahold of numbers that are on the DO NOT CALL LIST.

They called and said wrong number

They were calling to offer credit card protection. I told her I wasn't interested, thanked her for calling and I hung up....

I just received a call from this company and she said that she was with Audio Resources (I believe was the name). She said that they were doing a survey on women (age 18 - 35) regarding chemicals used in magazines. I told her I wasn't interested in participating and she thanked me and hung up.
