How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

No message left.
After many calls I finally blocked my outgoing number (#67, wait for dial-tone again) and called the number. They *did* ID themselves as Verizon Wireless and insisted that I give them my number (as if!) because they have a special deal for me. Yeah, right. Maybe a large bridge in New York?
Repeated calls from this number and no message left. If it is Verizon, I've got news for them-I'm not renewing my contract.
It was Verizon teleservices calling to remind me that my contract was about to expire.
Unfortunately I'm unable to get back in touch with them through this line. The woman who called made me a very nice deal and, after discussing it with my lady friend, I called customer service back and now (1 hour later) no such deal exists nor did it ever.

No answer when I picked up, no message
I received multiple calls from this number for the past 4-5 months now. they call about 4-5 x a day. no messages. when you answer the phone, no one answers on the other end
5 calls in one day from this number. No messages left, and no response when I answer the phone.
