just ask to be placed on the national do not call list i believe you can do that on line it takes like 30days to process and then by law these 3rd party agents cant call you any more

Another call answered and immediate they hung up.
Can we complain to some one? If not can we fill up their mail box with irate messages or minutes of silence daily like they do to us?

Get this...I had this number on the phone and the other line rang and it was the same number. So I put them on hold and answered the other line, and got the same spill about a special publication that was free to the head of the company, and asked for that persons name. Well, i told her i had their company on my other line and to REMOVE our number from their data base, NOW! She said, thats impossible, we wouldn't call 2 at a time. SO guess what I did, I conferenced their calls together, and totally busted them. They said they would remove our number.

Doesn't matter if you are home or not. No one on the other end when I pick up. If you call back--nothing just a loud busy signal.I have reported to do not call several times and still get the calls. Someone please pull their plug!!

My phone company wants 4.95 a month to keep from getting thes calls. No way.

We are getting calls in Arkansas at least once every day. No sound when it is picked up.

They have called me about 34 times. I called the 800-394-2323 & got Barb. She will remove # in a few days.
This Edge Teleserv has called at least 3 times a day. Filed a complaint with the Donotcallregistry, filed with FTC, nothing works. Lets see if "Barb" can have my # removed.

How do you get rid of these pest? The do not call registry is a whole lot of good (NOT!)

These folks reached me - they wanted me to renew my subscription to The New Yorker magazine. Needless to say, I declined and told them I was on the Do Not Call lists at both the state and federal level. They said they'd delete my number...Hmmm.

This company has called everyday for a week. If I answer they hang up. If I am not home they don't leave a message. I am on the National Do Not Call list. Most annoying!

The call today is the latest of a great number of calls received earlier during 2007. Hopefully something can be done about this pest.

Its probably Homeland Security, Alberto, NSA, Bush, the Christian Right Wing, etc...

I have had repeated calls, answer the phone and click.
I am elderly, have a knee problem and can't get to the phone all the time and this is very annoying. They call about 3-4 times a week.

I saw the message below on your forum and called them. A polite lady by the name of "Barb" answered and confirmed they tele-market for AARP. I asked her to remove my number from their database and she did and said it would take 2-3 days for sure for no more calls. Thank you "Who Called" for having this resource.

I've had the same experience as most of the complaints I've read to date. I received at least (1) call everyday for over a month. I finally got a "real" person and they said they were calling on behalf of AARP Prescription Plans, which my mother who I am a guardian of, is a member. At first I thought this was a scam to obtain information, but then I received a real surprise when after spending (45) minutes in telespace with AARP, learned that Edge Teleservice is a contracted third party to solicit AARP members for additional services. When I discovered this out I filed a complaint with the representative on the phone and will follow it up with a formal letter. If this is the case with you, I urge you to call AARP at 888-867-5575 and voice your opinion.

I have been getting at least 3 call per week from these people. I do not answer my phone. I have caller id and if the caller doesn't identify themselves, I don't answer. I wish I could stop these calls. They come at very inconvenient times.Apparently the gov't do not call list doesn't work with these people.

What kind of company is this - names do not mean anything - is it illegal - have had numerious calls from them. SOMEBODY DO SOMETHING

Have received at least a dozen calls from this number & no one on other end. I've tried calling 708-857-5009 but receive a message stating This is Edge Teleservice & then silence. My spouse & I are in our late 70's & both in poor health. We do not need these stupid calls. What can be done?

After getting a call daily for the last week or more with no one or nothing on the line when I answer, I sent them an e-mail on their website telling them to remove my number from their calling lists and that they are in violation of both Indiana and federal no-call list provisions. If that has no effect I will report them as violation the list provisions.

The company has a web site called Edge Teleservice. They have a FAX number listed. If we all FAX them at least 25 pages of whatever, we can get a little way towards even. Revenge is a dish best served cold.

They have been calling repeatedly for many weeks. When I answer, no one is there. They do not leave a message on our recorder. THis is harrassment.

I have received a number of calls as well, but as it turns out, they are legit! If you are a member of AARP, you have "a relationship", and they are simply calling to offer you this program. This is true even if you are on that Federal do not call list (which I am as well).

This telemarketer is calling for AARP (American Association of Retired People)about your Medicare Perscription Drug Plan. Call AARP @ 1-888-867-5575 and file a complaint. They told us they are getting many many complaints. If doesn't work CANCEL your membership and in particular your Medicare Drug Plan. I get upto 3 calls per day from these people.

I am tired of getting this kind of calls and went on their web site and made a comment. I don't think it is what they expect, but told them to remove me from their calling list.

Just called the 800 number provided below went stright thru girl promised to remove my numer, try to make some excuse that I had done bus. with one of their clients and that was why they called even thu i am on the no call list. we will see if the call stop.

Last time they called I waited silently until they answered and identified themselves, claiming to represent AARP Precription Drug Program ? Contact the AARP to see if this is for real.

This number has called us every day for two months. Today they called three times. Yesterday they called three times. Don't know how they got my number as it is unlisted. Going to get in touch with FTC about them. Pray it helps. I have wrote down when and what time they have called.

I've had my fourth call today from Edge. How about a class action suit for harrassment against Tom Wogan and Edge Tele? I am going to speak to an attorney in that regard.

After months of between 5 and 10 calls a day from Edge Teleservices, I did some googling. It took some time but I finally found a name behind Edge T.-- Thomas F. Wogan. And a phone number to Edge Services, though I am going to hunt further and hopefully find thomas' home phone number. But if all concerned want to hassle Thomas, I suggest we do so: 605-232-6320 --

We get called from this company once a day. I suspect that its on auto redial. REdialing the number we get a recorded message to stop the calls giving our name and phone # but the message stops short. Its cvoming form LaGrange Park, IL

Called, I didn't recognize the number, so I didn't answer. Whoever they are, they didn't leave a msg.

I'm called at least once or twice a week. It has been going on for months. I am on the do not call list both federal and state. This type of calling should not be allowed. the telephone companies should be held just as responsible.

I called the 1-800-394-2323 number last month and was told they would stop. I just called again and said I want to know who is giving them my phone number since its unlisted and I am handicap and Pa. there is a $5000 fine if they don't stop. I was told they would find out the information of which product is being used to contact me. Needless to say I sent the information for the fine to my attorney general of pa.

this caller tries several times each late afternoon and early evening. It is connected to a GOP outfit.

After emailing last week, due to our un-listed, d-not-call listing(after 3 weeks of calls from these people)..calling the #800, talking with Barb. She stated our # would be removed in 24-48hrs, that ended a coulple of days ago. THEY'RE STILL CALLING AT LEAST ONCE A DAY!(from 2-3 calls a day)

If you get continual calls from telemarketers and you have registered with the donotcall.gov website (the FTC follows entries closely) you can file a complaint - and verify that you're on the national do not call registry - here: donotcall.gov

I'd recommend verifying first, then complaining.

Then you have a leg to stand on when you fire off that fire-breathing letter to Edge Teleservices or any other bothersome telemarketer.

My telephone number is on the national do not call list as both myself, and my wife's number. Yet, Edge Teleservices continues to call my number. I finally, this morning reported them to the Federal Trade Commission. I would suggest you put Edge (and Trans-Action) teleservices in a search engine. You'll find they advertise on TV stations, job listing boards, etc., and complaints to the hosts of these ads, as well, will soon bring about change - and persuade Edge/Trans-Action to follow the accepted advertising method in this country: Paying to get eyeballs, not ears.

I'm on a no-call list. Can't 708-857-5009 be fined or disabled? No one speaks when I answer. This is a form of harassment.

Get a software program called "CallWall", it blocks them. Alos don't forget to report them to the ftc.gov website. I am on the federal do notcall list, and this EDGE company is violating the law.

I have had several calls on my unlisted home phone. It shows "Edge Teleservice" and the phone number. I am on the do not call registery.

The woman who called said she was calling on behalf of Oxford (health insurance). I asked if she was calling from Oxford directly and she said yes. The person she asked for wasn't home and she said she'd call back. I pressed *69 to get the number that she called from and found out it was a telemarketer. I called back and left a recorded message asking to be taken off their list and I contacted Oxford to see if Edge Teleservice really called on their behalf.

They said they was given list of numbers by companys and did not know I was on a Do Not Call List. They said they would take my Number off. I told them they better or I would report to FTC.

Called 12/2/06 - Edge Telesrvc. I have received numerous calls but I don't answer if I don't know who it is. Calls may be from an automated system designed to see what times people answer the phone at a particular number.

These bozos call me every morning...of course, I don't pick up. Just called at 10:30 AM EST...11/9/2006.

I wish they'd get a bleepin' clue and go away.

They have been calling my office at 12:35 p.m. every day for the last 20 days. I never answer it and they never leave a message. You think they would get a clue. Same company name, but the number showing up on my ID ends with 5006.

I actually spoke to the person, and he claimed to be a salesman from Allstate Insurance. Wanted to sign me up for "roadside assistance program" with allstate. Yeah he did as for my debit card number after verifying my name and address. I am going to contact my agent at allstate to verify the offer, and the number. anyone else actually talk to these guys?

Yep, just got the call at work. Picked up the phone and nutin. Doesn't look like this reporting is going to help much since were still getting calls.

Jesus didn't kill them, because they called me today. Have called me 1-2 times a day for a week now. I'm not home when they call so I can't even yell at them. Sheesh!

This is atleast the 5th call in that I get a pre-recording with no one on the other end and a hang up. I try calling back and there is no one to ans and the mailbox is full. I have left a message over 2 months ago for them to take my number and name off of their list and am still getting calls. It wouldn't bug me so much if someone would tell me what the hell it is instead of a pre recording that hangs up.
