As for the group on this page, it would be a good idea to let your fundraiser know we are out here and now you know that we are looking at them too. I would not let them misrepresent because the first time they do and we catch them, it's all over with but the crying.

I am only going to tell you this one time. Don't you dare come out here on to this or any other board and try to say you are trying to help fallen police officers. You are not trying to help anyone but yourselves. You think I am going to let you talk to these people who are trying to protect themselves from you in that condescending manner. Let me see if I can explain this to your two week on the job backside. Officer Down Foundation's program is to teach Crisis Chaplaincy to Chaplains, it is not to provide benefits to the families of officers killed, they only pitch that because their real program would not get them one single donation, and every time you say they are providing benefits to families of officers killed it is a lie and a misrepresentation and is potentially criminally actionable against you personally as well as your bosses David Fair, Paul Kutac, Phil Leconte and David Deriks.

I will bet you did not know that those are the same group of guys that run the Police Protective Fund and American Association of Police Officers and the Junior Police Academy. These men are so honest and hard working that even after several states sued the pants off of them they had to go out and start another identical fake charity. Remember "Operation False Charity"? Yeah, wow, they were part of it, and now look at who has come to defend them and their new carbon copy of the Multi State proven fraud the Police Protective Fund and by extension The Crisis Chaplin Project.

You, a person that I already know has maybe 2 weeks experience on the phone. I am going to offer you some sage advice from one of your elders in what is left of that industry. GET A NEW JOB! This one is about to disappear.

Now, you have called into 6 of my 50 states and misrepresented yourselves, Maryland, Virginia, Indiana, Illinois, Tennessee and North Carolina and that is a problem for your organization because that is where my organization is located and our mission is to protect charitable dollars specifically raised in the name of Officers Killed in the Line of Duty. Now let me tell you what my organization does. We search out and report fraudulent Police Fire Veteran's and Children's Charities and their professional fundraisers. We protect the money of the people who protect us.

If anyone reading this wants to help with a donation for us to keep going after these scams, feel free to email me and lets talk. revjames@pfcl.org And unlike David Fair attempting to claim 501 c3 status before it is granted, Churches, like the Holy Land Spiritual Church in the United States are granted automatic 501 c3 status so you know you can deduct your donation from your taxes when the law allows.

We also recruit former professional police fundraisers as volunteers to help us go after groups like yours and you would be welcome to join us as well. And we always want to hear any tips on fraudulent activity in public safety charities so we can report them too. The days of diverting money from non profits and charities that really give their money to the families of officers killed in the line of duty, are OVER!

What a coincidence that would be huh? A church and a Minster going after a Chaplain, I would say God called one of us and the other has a big problem not just on earth, but after life too.

Do you know how much easier our job would be if your Officer Down Foundation did not exist?

I am not the kind of minister you are probably familiar with that gets up on Sunday morning to preach about Fire and Brimstone. I am the kind of minister that BRINGS Fire and Brimstone to your doorstep.

See the problem for your organization is that because of your fraudulent activity, you are making us expend our donor’s money to investigate you because you see, that is what OUR donors (Holy Land Spiritual Church) gave their money too and they knew full well that they were giving their money for us to go after groups like yours.

That would be the exact opposite of your group where the donor’s think they are giving to the families of officers killed in the line of duty but what you dont tell them is that the money they donate is really going to David Fair's personal mission of this "Crisis Chaplain" concept.

Well if you did not know we existed before I am not surprised, they never tell you phone jockey's anything, but you are about to know we exist now.

It is our duty and responsibility to protect our donor’s money and the only way for us to do that in the case of the Officer Down Foundation is for them to shut down voluntarily or we must sue the pants off of your group until you are ended. Oh and that is not all you have to look forward too, in North Carolina where you are calling, what you are doing is considered to be a class H felony.

Trying to solicit funds from local business for FFX Co Fire Fighters and in return get Nationals Tickets. Kept on referring to keeping the money in the district (even though FFX Co is in Virginia). Sounds in the background of others talking. Classic boiler room scam.

The "firefighter" fundraiser guy just threatened me! He called by business number and kept talking while I had other calls coming in. After 3 or 4 minutes of his talking, I was rushed and refused to "donate". He then said:

"I just wanted you to know that your financial records can be obtained at any time", then he hung up.

This is outragous

Called, left no msg on my answering maching.

Be sure to know how much funds actually goes to the police, firefighters, or whoever. A fund raising organization like J.A.K. (or "jak") for example (calls from 703-656-9988 might not be from them - I don't know) passes along less than 20% or the organization they say they represent.

Organizations hire outside companies to do their fundraising for them -- another group handles the state police. They ask for donations and in return have in the past offered to send jellies or jams. They are legit. When I have answered I mentioned that a family member was on the force and that in itself is a donation! Yesterday, they called to wish me a safe Thanksgiving, remember to buckle up and don't drink and drive. My response? -- Thank you very much. It was thoughtful of you to call and I hung up before the person was able to say anything else. I get tired of these phone calls and just screen all numbers I don't know. Unfortunately, we can't block them.

I have been getting calls from this 'organization' for weeks. I usually just ignored it. On the few occasions when I picked up the phone, no one was there.

I just called the number back and it said to call another number (1-800-882-0176) for customer service. I called THAT number and one of the options was to be put on the 'Do Not Call' list. I just did it, so I don't know if it worked or not, but it is worth a try!

How make them stop calling?

ARe they allowed to place solictation calls on weekends and especially on a Sunday Morning?

yea i just got this call and my parents arent home but she knew thier last name. im just a girl and she asked me if there was a decision maker in the house so i said no and she said shell call back at another time. i got it at 7:35 exasctly. i cant find anything except 4 thiswebsite about the caller id so thx!

I received a telephone call on 11-04-09 at 7:30 pm from a woman who said she was representing the "Fairfax County Professional Fire Fighters & Paramedics." The telephone number that showed on my phone was 1-703-656-9988. She was soliciting a donation. I told her that I do not make any financial commitments over the telephone and that, if her organization would send me something in writing, I may consider it. She hung up.

Looking on the internet, I am unable to find any legitimate company associated with this number. Therefore, I believe it to be a scam telephone call.

If everybody would do this, calls from these kind of telemarketers would stop.

My company actually donated $2,000 to them a couple of years back. They are identified as FCPFFP. We NEVER even got as much as a proper thank you from them! They constantly harrass us by changing up the phone #'s on caller ID, and do not respect our numerous requests not to be contacted again. They have been calling us about 3-4 times everyday. They are unappreciative bullies....do NOT give them the time of day, much less a donation!

These people repeatedly call my business and do not take me off the list, despite repeated requests. They are aggressive pests that make me even less likely to donate to fire & rescue organizations.

these people are not legitimate. they've been calling every other day for the last week. at first they were asking for my wife, who has made donations to "official" sounding causes before, but now they just hang up after i answer. i called the # back and got a recording about the Fairfax County Police, Firefighters and Paramedics program(s) , a statement that they are registered with the state (i doubt it) and another # to call for more info. i called 1-800-882-0176 and a guy answered "JESCO" but he denied any knowledge of fcpffandp, said he wasn't involved in any fund-raising or similar activity, and said he was based in minnesota.

Get these people off the phone! They are annoying and irritating. We are on the no-call list but she obviously does not care!!

They ask for someone and when you ask who is calling they claim the call to be personl very presonal and hang up, that is extremely unprofessional. Now I know who they are and they won't get donations from this company ever.

If you do reverse look up, the number is out of Manassas - a cell phone, and they are suppose to be professional, I think NOT

These people have also called me repeatedly despite my requests to be removed from their lists. 10/15/07: impolite caller initially denied that he was a telemarketer and said he would only remove me from the list if I could say what the list was. Unlike most telemarketers who are polite and realize their time is better spent trying their next tel number, he tried to bait me into an argument. I dryly told him that the law requires him to remove me from a list upon my request.

called at 8:45 pm but hung up when I picked up the phone.

called at 8:50 p.m. machine picked up, but they never left a message.

Telemarketer stating he is collecting for firefighters. Upon further questioning, it turns out to be for UNION firefighters, or even THE UNION.

They make themselves into pests every year. I have blocked them, but I know it won't help.

The CALLER is actually a commercial company.

Fairfax County Fire Fighters and Paramedics. OMG donate once and all the County public services call and ask for money! What the hell does my county taxes pay for? They don't take no sorry I can't help for an answer, they just lower the donation. Gosh!

Trying to sell Nationals tickets as a fundraiser for Police and rescue. we live in Loudoun County... and we support our local stations...I was under the impression that Fairfax county or any local county municipality does not solicit funds by phone??? Is this a scam? They will NOT stop calling even though I registered for the do not call list.

Received a call from them. Wanted to speak with my Dad who wasn't here and so said they would call back later.

Calling for money and continually calling even when i asked them to stop. You cannot report them because they are looking for donations.

It is a professional call center seeking donations for the Fairfax County Professional Fire Fighters UNION.
