How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

You all do realize that 100 isn't a valid costumer-assigned prefix (NXX) for a telephone number in the US, right? Probably spoofed.

Im in the Philippines. Received a call from 703.100.1006 on my mobile. I never give out my number to strangers but recently registered my mobile number on Yahoo Messenger. I realized it was a mistake and a day or two later, I removed my mobile numbers from the messenger.
Follow up. This company has now called a total of 17 times (sometimes at 5:30am) and each time a different number is on the CallerID but its the same guy. I called United and they claim they do not use telemarketers and the guy calling is a collection agency. I do have a friend that has collection agencies after her so they are probably trying to get to her through me. I filed a harassment report with the VA Attorney Generals office.
Called and said they were United Mortgage and tried to get me to give them personal info. Obviously a scam to take over an account.
they called my house as an online pharmacy...i really think something illegal is going on too because online pharmacy people call my house 5 times a day, despite any action we take to stop it. I've heard of online pharmacy people calling even after people have died for years.
Went to answering machine, didn't leave a message; phoned right back and left a message on our web voice mail (we have VOiP).
I received a call from this number (preceded by 011), and did not answer. I saw that another poster stated this is NCO Financial, which I have had dealings with before, so it probably is.
Received call from 'Out of Area' 703-100-1006 at 8:43 Jan 2 07. I let answering machine pick up and only message was 'hello' and then a hang up.
I picked up the phone and say hello and it hung up on me.
The caller ID says "Unavailable", but shows the number 703-100-1006. I answered in my business name, and they just hung up without saying anything.

I asked who was calling and they asked for an authorized decision maker of the telephone account. I said there was none available and they hung up.
