Who Called Us

I get 3-4 calls a day from this number, and I am supposed to be on the do not call list. When you pick up, it clicks a few times and resets, so you can't even speak to the moron on the other end and tell them to stop!

I am getting 4 calls a day from this number. I called verizon wireless customer service and they said they blocked it. I have gotten 2 more calls since then. It's really getting annoying.

I have been receiving calls 3-4 times a day for nearly a week. I called Verizon wireless and was told that by the customer service representative that to her knowledge Verizon does not do business that way, and that she would not have any idea how to rectify the problem!

I got six calls from this caller, in the last four or five months. All of them missed.

They have called me more than once; they don't leave a message nor respond when I pick up. Annoying.

I have recieved a call from this number everyday at around 10-11 for the past week. I haven't picked up yet since I didn't recognize the area code.

I answered a call from this number once before. It was a woman calling on behalf of Verizon Wireless to discuss my calling plan. I told her I was at work and could not take the call. She said she would call back. Today she did. If I needed a new plan, I would approach them. I don't need them calling me to sell me other plans.

"Name Unavailable" 11:05AM 01-05-07. This number has called several times on previous occassions. I have not answered as it is a number I do not recognize

I've received 8 calls in 5 days. Two tonight within 3 hours which made me look up this number.

CID showed 'not available'. Person identified herself as a Verizon Wireless representative and knew all about my wireless phone contract. I did not give her any info and hung up. A call to Verizon using the number on their home page and they verified that it was an other company hired by Verizon to do this type of business for them. I informed Verizon that I do not do business with anyone who will not identify themselves via CID.

Apparently it IS a ligit call from an outfit hired by Verizon Wireless. So why the heck don't they identify themselves on CID?

That number is now in my bit bucked on the computer answering machine.

It is verizon wireless - I just answered the phone and that's what they said.

By the way - I have call block on my phone and when I get repeat calls from any number that looks like a telemarketer, I just put them on my block list unitl the list fills up then I drop the oldest one. Seems to work.

Says "Unknown Name". Called twice this morning. Noone there when I answered the phone.

This phone number calls us 2 or 3 times a day never leaves a message. It's a pain the wahzoo. This has been going on for at least a week now. Says Unavailable!!!

11/13/06 - call from this number ID "Out of Area" woke me up today to sell me a Verizon calling plan. They had someone else's name and town. I am on the no-call list, but apparently the person with MY number on her Verizon record is not.

It is an outside company hired by Verizon to sell calling plans. If you want to do anything about them, they are:

I've received numerous calls from this number and through this website, identified it as coming from Verizon Wireless, with whom I have a cell phone plan. When I called Verizon Wireless, the CSR claimed that they did not make these calls because they looked it up on my account. The CSR I spoke with told me to register my number with the donotcall.gov website. I told her that I had done this when the website first came out. She said the registration lasts for only one year. Wrong! It's five years! When I pointed out that any company who has an existing business relationship with a customer is exempt from the "do not call" rules, she decided finally to call this number herself... it identified itself as coming from Verizon Wireless and asked us to hold... then it disconnected us. She got annoyed and called back for a 20-minute wait. Finally we got through. During the time we were on hold, I told her about this website, because she complained that she gets these types of telemarketing calls, too, despite being registered at the government website. She was very nice and we swapped a lot of info about telemarketing calls.
So if you are getting a lot of calls from this number or another Verizon Wireless number, just call the number that appears in your Caller ID, wait for an operator (it may take a while) and ask to be put on their "do not call" list.

this number calls me all the time weather I anwser or not.

This number has called my cell about 10 times in the past month. No messages are left. Usually calls in the mornings.

They called me 8 times and today I was home to answer. It was Verizon. If nothing else, they're persistent! Funny thing is that I renewed my plan over 2 weeks ago and this guy didn't know it!!

My caller ID said "unknown name" with the #702-835-0178. No idea who it was. They've called several times but not left a message.

Got this call twice in two days. When I called back it said Verizon Wireless and I was on hold for 20 minutes before I hung up. Apparently they want you to wait to eat up your minutes!! he he

Here's what you need to do to stop all calls from Verizon Wireless in the future: Call Customer Service at 888-466-4646. When it picks up, press 2, enter your phone number when prompted, then press 0 and when they pick up tell them the situation and they'll remove you from any telemarketing calls from this or any other number.

Verizon wireless calling to tell me about new plans.

I've been called 2 times in as many weeks so far. I never answer a number I don't know. They are calling my cell, and I am not on the do not call list.

Now that I read Charlie's comment. I guess my call from "Unknown caller" is because I dropped Verizon and went to Cingular.

My Caller ID showed "unknown caller". I've received 3 calls in 3 days from this number. Today I called the number back. Apparently it is Verizon Wireless telemarketing calling to let me know about the various cell phone plans available to me...

Whoever they are, they called me 4 times on 4 consecutive days, each at a different time of day. Pretty obviously a business with an autodialer programmed to track down cold-call leads.

6 out of 12 calls currently in my caller ID memory, going back to August 7, came from this number.
