How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

This phone number always calls my house.
They called and didn't say anything.
go to donotcall.gov or call 1-888-382-1222 to get you off the do not call list. This might help.
They call me at like 8 am everyday. Wait for my voicemail to pic up and then hang up. I tried to call it back but it was busy. I am calling the operator to find out what I can do to get this number to stop calling me. I blocked it but it still keeps calling.

Called 3:45PM Aug. 31. My Outgoing ONLY msg says it is my computer line, so quit wasting your time. Unless you can find a way to talk to my computer. Long, long Outgoing ONLY msg to waste their time. Unlisted number, but not yet active on do-not-call roster.
Don't have any idea who these people are; they are probably the same ones who call several times a week from 702-818-1675. If they keep it up, I'll file against them.

Called my cell phone on 8/28/06 left a msg pitching a health insurance company I've never heard of. I called back and they answer the phone with simply "Customer Care". They then go into a sales pitch that I didn't finish.

Regarding my previous post, I live in zip code 39507 and the latest call came in on 9-28-06.
I get calls on my cell from this number (I live in Gulfport, MS), and they don't say anything...so now I keep the line open (I have the minutes) until they hang up...

Friday at 4:25 pm east coast time I got a call from 702-818-1680. When I picked up, there was a recording which said 'leave a message'.
I signed up for the National Do Not Call Registry, but less than a week ago for this phone.

My experience is similar to Susan's. They called my cell but I hung up after I heard the beginning of their spiel about health care.
