How do I stop them from calling?

From a Connecticut Dept. of Consumer Protection report dated 16 March 2010:
"... THE LEUKEMIA & LYMPHOMA SOCIETY, INC. of WHITE PLAINS, NY will be conducting a telephone solicitation campaign in Connecticut beginning 3/28/2010 and ending 2/28/2011.
THE LEUKEMIA & LYMPHOMA SOCIETY, INC. has hired INFOCISION MANAGEMENT CORPORATION of AKRON, OH to conduct the campaign. According to the fundraising contract filed with the State, THE LEUKEMIA & LYMPHOMA SOCIETY, INC. will receive a minimum of 0 per cent of the gross funds raised from this solicitation."
Infocision is based in Akron, Ohio and routinely runs aggressive campaigns for charity groups American Cancer, American Diabetes, American Heart, American Lung, Leukemia/Lymphoma, and March of Dimes. Recent tactics include predictive dialing and the use of multiple rotating numbers to frustrate caller blocking. Charities are among the FTC DNC exemptions, even if third party for-profit firms are involved in collection.
Have gotten calls for the past three days from the Leukemia Society. The first one was quite late at night. I like others refuse to donate to agencys that utilize the phone to seek donations.
We, my wife and I do donate to the United Good Way in our community. I feel at least that way the donations go to the people rather than paying some clown sitting at a computer desk from an unknown area.
They have called numerous times in the past several days (8-13 March 2010). I answered twice but there was no response to the profanities I hurled at them.
They called my home on 3-11-2010 at 6;40 PM - and called again on 3-12-2010 at 7:18 PM
My telephone number is on the do not call list - these people often wake me up (I am a senor citizen with health problems) - and sometimes if I answer the phone no one is there so I hang up
These people are greedy, ruded and insisted. They will harrass you until you have to give them the money they want and they only want "credit card", no checks, period. They wake me up every single morning at 9am for this whole month regardless multiple times that I requested that my name to be removed from the calling list. The first time, a female hung up on me abruptly when I said I already donated this year charity fund to the places needed most even before I finished my sentence. Then they called and I requested my name to be removed from the calling list. I even called their tel. # back and selected #1 for being removed on their calling list, but nothing happened. They still harrass me every morning (I work late evening shifts). The ID showed up on my caller ID is Leukemia Society. I will report them to the Better Business Bureau and the FBI for harrassing people.
Persistent calls, frequently early or late, so far I have blocked 2 numbers. It used to be that the calls where human, but the machine is relentless and just uses another number to try our patience.
They call every day even though I keep asking them to remove me from their list. Just for that I'm never giving them money.

The Leukemia Society has called using 3 different area codes. I have never picked up and I too wish they would stop calling.
I wonder if it's just robocalls, which is why we keep getting these calls, even if we don't answer. It's annoying!
Every f**king day I get a call from these assholes. I never answer. Why do they keep calling?
The Leukemia Society calls 7 days a week using at least 7 different numbers. I will never donate to them or any charity that intrudes on my privacy at home. If everyone stopped donating to telemarketing charities, this would eventually stop.
Agree 100% with JLa! I will never support telemarketing, no matter what the cause!
I have been getting calls from this number and others every day now for over a week! The Leukemia Society needs to quit calling me! I am sick of it. If I wanted to donate, I would through other means - never would I give money or my personal info over the phone, so there is no use in calling. Find another telemarketing strategy!
