How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

These chuckleheads called my work cell number. Called back, pressed "1" to add my number to their do not call list. Wonder if it will work?
I received a call from this number (702-520-9162) this afternoon on my cell phone and answered it so I could tell the perpetrator that they were calling my cell phone. A pre-recorded message said they were "Cardholder Services" calling regarding my account, but then told me not to worry that anything was wrong. The message said I could lower my interest rate to as low as 6.9% and to press 1 to be connected to an associate (no other option provided).
I pressed "1" and had to wait for well over a minute for anyone to answer. The guy who did answer sounded like he was drunk, and without asking my my name or for any other information asked if I currently had credit card debt in excess of $3,000. When I said "No," he hung up without another word.
I called the number back and was greeted by another message telling me to press "1" if I wanted to be placed on their "do not call" list. I pressed one, but I'm pretty sure I've done the same thing for this same number in the last couple of weeks.
Phantom call to my cel with no vm message.
Cardholder services. More spam to my cell.
Rolled it to VM, no message left.
My own mother doesn't call me so much!
These people are trying to get person credit information saying they can reduce you credit card interest. Please help others by reporting these types of calls. When I called the local news about them I was told it is a scam that tries to get information from seniors. I did not give them any information.

It looks like these people called me, too and are the same people who are calling from 8504539489. That number has a lot more entries than the 702 number. They called asking if I was interested in lowering my interest rates. The catch for me was I do have a credit card from cardmemberservices so I thought maybe it was them. After going back and forth for a while I realized that these people have nothing to do with my credit card company, and they don't want my SSN, but they did ask for detailed information from my bill such as account number and balance, etc. Steer clear of these people. They make it seem like there is no downside to working with them and they are not a debt consolidation company and all of these other wonderful things. If it's too good to be true, then it isn't true.
Calls to the cell phone telling me my bill is not due but time is limited to drop the interest rate on my credit card. Guess what, I haven't got a credit card.
