Received a call today from this number, the man who call told me that I have a gov. check for $3,459.47 that I will get from UPS tomorrow at 10.30 that I must pay $125.40 no cash, no debit only a card named green dot-Money Pack. This money is because I have a credit from IRS, but he told the call is from Washington DC, and I search for area code and is from Las vegas NV, please help us!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Unknown. I picked up anyway. There was no one on the line and the call disconnected a few seconds later. Very annoying to get these calls.
Received a call today from this number. Usually, do not pick up for callers we do not know. The caller ID said "Service Call," so I decided to pick up in case it was actually legitimate. I guess that is why they use that caller ID. The recorded call was the same fake, phoney female British accent I have recently heard on another scam call, that I had picked up because the number looked similar to the one of a distant family member. Anyway, this woman launched into something about my credit cards, and that there is not really a problem right now, but....at which point I hung up, just as I had the prior time I heard her phony accent. From auto registrations to credit cards, these folks are a menace.
Call to lower credit card interest rate Totally bogus
this number calls once a day. I ask to talk to a supervizer and they hang up.
Have been on do not call list...it doesn't stop these intrusions
They have only called once so far, didn't leave a message.
Very aggressive, and pretending to be our bank credit card company "if you are interested in lowering your credit card interest rate, press 9; then, swore profusely when we told them that we had no interest in what they were selling and to not call us again.
We want to lower your credit card rate because you pay your credit card on time. How much do you currently have on your card? "How do I know you are not a scam?" We are on a FDIC secured line so this is not a scam. What is your card limit? "I don't know." What is your phone number so I can call you back? "Why can't we just do this at the credit union?" Because we represent the credit card company not your bank.
Wanted to lower my credit card intrest. I hung up
Call was listed as Service Call. My phone is on do ot call lists filed complaint
Listed on my cell phone as "missed call" - no voice mail left. Telemarketing calls (those covered by the National Do Not Call Registry) to cell phones are prohibited by the FTC but you can also register your cell number on the Do Not Call Registry. If you receive one of these calls on a phone number registered with the National Do Not Call List, you may file a complaint with the FTC at ftc.gov (go to link for the National Do Not Call List).
I have received 4 calls from these people on my work issued cell phone. Like others, when I ask them to remove me they hang up. They must be calling random numbers because my car is 10 years old and the phone only one. I was very nice on the first two calls - explained they must have the wrong number since I did not have this cell phone when I bought my car. As the calls keep coming in, I am getting pissed off and a little less nice each time!
Yep same. I hit 9 this morning and got 3 additional calls today. Last call I went completely bonkers on the guy, used language you'd never say in front of your mother, and the guy went from mocking (we were busting each other's balls at this point) to an actual conversation where he said I should be off the list in a week. Do I believe that? Hell nah, but calling him a **** sucking *** licking piece of **** stupid worthless whore of a loser made me feel better LOL. What was funny was how quickly he recovered from the barrage of insults when we actually started having a real conversation. Guess he's been there before haha!
I have been getting the call every day for about two weeks. I dont answer but a message is left that says press 9 to be removed from the list. I don't dare hit 9. I have heard of phone virusus and don't know if they exist. I have sprint so it's notheing to do with AT&T solely. Sure get sick of companies whoring your personal info. They say they don't but thats bullshit. I made a donation to a "save the animals" organization asking for help right on the front page of google. Its was the biggie, ACASP or what ever. Now I am receiving regular mail, email, and phone calls looking for donations to Animal groups and this is the only donation to an animal group I have ever made. They obviously raised additional money by selling the private information they guaranteed the would not.
received a call on my unlisted cell phone from these scammers-these people are totally illegal in their operations and can be fined 50,000.00 dollars per occurence/call for violating the "do not call registery" listed phones - the only way to find these scammers is to file a class action lawsuit against them and the phone companies/info.providers to allow legal line tracers to find the true source - we will all have to band together to stop these scammers and share the awards from the lawsuit - at 50k per call, i am willing to take that risk - are you?!!!!!!!
We get these bogus calls several times a day (on several different lines), and it is REALLY starting to bug us. There should be laws against this harassment. WHY ARE THESE SCAMMERS ALLOWED TO DO THIS? (Is DMV giving out our information to these telephone harassers, or are they merely dialing every possible number in the telephone system?) Recommend that everyone receiving these calls contact the Do Not Call Registry and report them. There are penalties for calling numbers that are on the National and State Do Not Call Registries. Report them!
We receive numerous calls from this number each week. I simply ignore the call because I don't know the number and am not expecting any calls from a toll-free number. I have been signed up with "Do Not Call" for about four months now and it does not seem to do a thing about this type of call.
Make the calls stop!!!!!!!!!!!
its all good, they called my cell phone numerous times and I have reported them to the FCC!
if they call your cell phone, do the same.
I am sick and tired of this company calling me on a car that is no longer owned by me not to mention the warranty expired 3 years ago.
Why can't our government stop these harrassing phone calls?
This definately should be illeagal
I have received 3 or 4 calls from this "company" offering extended car warranty only to be hung up on when I requested their name. The number was disconnected when I dialed back to be removed from the list.
these jack-offs have called me 6 times now. trying to get folks to buy warranties for their cars... its a total fraud. when I questioned them they asked if I had "accepted Jesus".
Car warranty sales recording
I am receiving calls from this company at least twice a day. I have "pressed 2 to be removed", I have stayed on the line and asked to be removed only to be hung up on.
The calls from this company have come from multiple phone numbers too.
Received a call from this number today and went to cal it back and it is "not a working number" WTF?
Received calls from this company 4 times in 2 weeks after buying a car. They are a third party trying to sell extended warranties. I have requested that they remove me from their list and have received 2 more calls since then.
They make themselves sound official, but they are not associated with any dealer or car company.
The number they send on Caller ID is a disconnected number in Nevada, so you can't return the call. If you press "0" to reach an operator, the call disconnects. You have to wait for a person before you can request they remove you.
Reputable companies do not publish disconnected numbers on their Caller ID.
