How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

Received a call from this number on my mobile phone in Canada. I did not answer.
Called the number back after reading other's comments-- no name given, but a recorded female message to "Press 1 if you wish your name to be removed from our marketing list." I hung up. Telemarketers!
I live in Las Cruces, same number, same recorded lady speaking spanish. She spoke really fast but from what little Spanish I know I think she said "press 2 to receive your money". I have know idea what she could be talking about so I said hello until it just hung up. It sounded like it waited for someone to pick up and then played the message. The fact that they are calling multiple people in my area code is really strange and a little scary.

also forgot to mention that my cell phone is from sprint and has been for the last 5 years...

i answered it today at1:25pm 9/11/09, it was a recorded female voice in spanish. couldn't understand a word - then it hung up on me.

Tried running the number through superpages... it found nothing. People pages found that it is a land line in Las Vegas, NV.

Got this call: 3/9/2009 at 3:40PM. CiD says number. Did not answer them, didn't recognize it.
Received a call from this # on 3/9/2009. I did not answer since I did not recognize the phone #. I did call back & the number was in service however the recording that answered gave no info regarding the identity of this caller. There was an option to press #1 to be put on their do not call list......so I pressed it. Hopefully this takes care of the issue but somehow I doubt it and that from the comments on here I'm betting a call will come again just from a different # next time. Grrrrrr!!!

Since I am looking for a new job, I answered (hoping it was one of my recruiters). A recording happily and excitedly started to tell me that "This is the second warning that your car warrantee is about to run out."
I hung up. I've heard this recording 4 other times in the past 2 months, always from a different phone number.
My car is 1 year old. I have another 2 years / 20k miles left on my warrantee. I have no idea who this is, but it must be a scam.
this number called my cell trying to get me to purchase an extended warranty on my car. when i asked the man on the phone how he knew what he supposidly knew, he started calling me names and refused my request to talk to his supervisor. what should i do?

This is the waranty service that claims your waranty is about to expire. Same story they will not even give you the name of the company they are calling from
Got to be spammers. Message informed me that my vehicle warranty may be expiring soon. Tell me something that I don't know. My rig is 13 yrs old. "WARRANTY? WE DON'T NEED NO SKINKIN' WARRANTY"
They are spammers. Trying to sell car warranties. Do not provide any info!
They are calling numbers that used to be theirs. I went online to the Verizon Wireless website and did a live chat with one of the reps. He gave me the customer service number and said to tell them to take my number off of their list. I haven't heard from them since.
Other sites say it's Verizon calling existing wireless customers to urge renewal of contract.
Verizon Wireless. Asked to speak with me and I said I was not home.
Called for wife and would not leave message. Always busy when I call them back.
