How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
- Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

It is known that cash makes people autonomous. But how to act if one does not have money? The one way only is to try to get the credit loans and just secured loan.
some nasty nigger calling about...i don't know what because you can't understand the ho!
I need the contact of the chief risk officer as soon as possible...can anybody help me??
Thanks
They call me an average of 3xs a day. Most of the time, I let me fax blast their ear. If I'm feeling ornery, I pick up and give the caller a blast with my air horn!
I spoke to David Gibbons this morning. He no longer works for the company.
I have recieved numerous calls from this number in the last two days and this is getting out of hand. They call and a automated message comes on and says (please hold for an important message) then some person gets on the line and says hello, hello and then hangs up. SOB's quit calling me!!!!!
Called me twice a day for the last week. Finally got through to them to listen. Name is "Careen Inigo", calling from the Philippines "on behalf" of the HSBC Bank in Nevada. Demanded a cease and desist, let's hope they get the message.
received 6 calls on monday in the morning
so annoying
David D. Gibbons. Senior Executive Vice President (847) 295-0497 1221 Evergreen Dr, Lake Forest, IL 60045
Cell: (847) 707 4279 Fax:(847) 205 7452
Since his company advocates annoying the crap out of peoples' entire families, you can even talk to his lovely wife Karin. She's home during the day a lot. See if she likes having people call her non-stop. I wonder if HSBC calls her? You could email her personally at kebgibbons@aol.com and ask her.
319-341-5952.
I posted how to get rid of these calls back in December 2006, but no one is doing it for some reason.
I had the same problem and resolved it by getting an executive's personal email address, letting him know that I had his home and cell numbers (which I included in the email to let him know I was serious) and telling him that if he didn't stop this harassment, I would be calling him at home to speak to him about it every evening at dinner time until it was resolved.
I got a response back immediately with profuse apologies. NO PHONE CALLS SINCE! Problem solved. So STOP calling all these little peon customer 'service' reps and contact someone who can and will make your problem go away imeediately. IT WORKED FOR ME.
HSBC NV - You can contact their Cheif Risk officer - David Gibbons david.d.gibbons@us.hsbc.com. You can also call him at 847-809-9921, 847-707-4279, or 847-295-0497. One of these is his home number and one is is cell - don't remember which is which.

I spoke with Srinath, who was quite nice. He couldn't tell me when my number would be removed; but he said it could take up to 30 days. He then sent me to Rob, who said to notify the credit companies and tell them to not release your information. He said the "big three" release things such as your name, address and phone number. They (HSBC) can also get your information if you have an account with them (directly, or through one of their companies). I hope this information helps.
HSBC BANK calls me twice a day every day for 2 weeks, then no calls for a few weeks, then the cycle starts all over again. I never answer the phone and they never leave a message on the machine.
Have been receiving 2 to 3 calls/day during past 2 months. Fortunately its a special line for dsl and not answered (ringer usually off). However, it is an unpublished number and the calls are annoying. I'd answer the phone but scared it may be the IRS! *69 for my info.
I just called them (the 888 number) and spoke to an Indian woman (Sarita) who said she was taking our number off the list. She said that it would take up to 30 days to take effect, but after 30 days she can "assure" me that we won't be receiving more calls. Nothing was mentioned about having to write a letter. Hmmm, we'll see.
i have actually answered the phone in japanese so that didnt scare them off tina.
they call me often also and i am wondering if this now constitutes a class action herrasment suit to the company .
i pay extra on my phone bill for a non-published number. i dont recall ever leaving my number on a non-secure site. how did they get my number?!!!why can't they be stopped!
They called me today. Wish they would stop calling.
i am tired of hanging up on these people... by the time i gey home i have numerous of calls by them, and when i am at home i answer and they hang up. WHAT DO THEY WANT. get these and we i do call back they have me on hold forever.
They call and call. I told them three months ago to stop and did until they started again this week
They have been calling us. I called back the number and pressed the number to be taken off the list and they still call. I have told real people to take me off the list and they say ok ok but it will take blah blah blah amount of time. That time expires and they still call.
I am reporting them to my Attorney Generals office tomorrow.
I've received calls from this number on my line and also my teenagers' phone line (separate number). Each time they ask for me, don't leave a message when we don't answer, same as the rest of you folks. I can't helf but wonder...what would happen if we answered the phone in a made-up foreigh language? Whould they quit calling then? Or what if we just toy with the caller - like Borat. Surely that would put us on the too-crazy-to-call-again list. Hopefully!
beneficial finacial
I don't know what they want. I usually just pick up then hang up immediately.
update file complaints with fcc on line search fcc complaint crossing state lines falls under fcc give all info phone number company name all relevent info may take 2 to 3 months but will be taken seriously
The girl that called me could not pronounce my name correctly sounded drunk or stoned and hung up when I asked who was calling I am going to forward this info and web site to the fraud dept State Of Louisana
When they call, we don't answer. I called them back and a recording told me to call 888-466-1258 during business hours PST. I would like to find a way to make trouble for them, as they refuse to stop calling unless we write a letter to them. I told them that my call and request should be adequate and that I am on the National Do Not Call Register. Very rude folks.
Called several times over the weekend without leaving a message.
I didn't know banks and such could check your credit reports unless you specifically have business with them....they've checked ours, too, and that's beens ince we started cleaning our credit report up. I swear! Credit card companies are not happy unless everyone in the country in is debt to them! I wish these jerks would stop calling!
this number calls every otherday
We get a call daily from this number, along with the toll free number... We never answer and they never stop calling.
I received 10 calls from 1-888-466-1258 between 2pm and 5pm this Saturday. The first few, they hung up. On the 4th my wife said quit calling me, and a woman answered, "No" and hung up. We left soon after and found 6 more calls on our phone from them in the next 30 minutes. Some of them about 2 minutes apart. I called this Gibbons guy and told him I would call him personally every time I receive another call from them.
These people called at 2:45pm on 02/16/07, with my caller ID showing "Unknown Name". I remained silent when picking up phone, and they did too. I hung up after 30 seconds.
These people called at 8:11pm on 02/13/07, with my caller ID showing "UNKNOWN NAME". I was not home, and no message was on my phone.
they call constantly, won't leave a message with me or the answering machine. So much for the "Do Not Call" list!!
I too am getting calls 4 and 5 times a day. I looked up my credit info and they are making inquiries on a monthly basis. Anyone know how to stop that?
called HSBC customer svc and they said the only way to get on the "do not call list" is to write a letter requesting so. HSBC Card Services, 1441 Schilling Place, Salinas, CA 93091
They call at least 3 to 5 times per week...usualy on weekends, ask for you name then hang up. Has anybody emailed them for the link posted here from The Grinch and got a response? I just emailed them a nasty letter. If your getting phone calls chances are they are inquiring into your credit file also. We pulled our files and found they have inquired once monthly for the last 4 years. We are going to report them to BBB and FCC.
I get calls from them 5 times a day. This really sucks. I want to know why they call ... At first i thought because they wanted to check up on my account with them because i make payments for my truck through them since they are my loan provider. Nope that wasn't it. The reason why i know is because i pay on time everytime and they started with phone calls this past month. It is stressing me out. I never gave them this number... Just like everone else this is probably an offer type call.
They call on average of 4 times a day, every day for the past two weeks. They ask for someone who does not live here, we tell them they have a wrong number, they hang up and keep calling back. I now pick up the phone and slam it right back down.
This # is constantly calling me house several times a day and they never leave a message or when I have answered the phone they hang up on me. It is really annoying
HSBC is the credit card "Orchard Bank".
This is the second time they have called. I just don't answer.
