Fraud Alert; "GE Home Securities" phone calls are a scam; They are not really any home security agency; advice, if you need a system, purchase locally. Company claims that they were GE Home Securities; sometimes, before they call, someone else will call your home pretending to have a wrong number--like a sweet sounding little old lady, then another person will call you. Caller ID: OuT of Area: They are hitting people all over the USA via phone lists or hacks. They wills start asking for more personal information. FBI PLEASE get these criminals--they will steal from Grandmothers.
They call 4 to 5 times a day. The first call yesterday this guy spoke and I couldn't even understand him and told him that and he hung up on me. A hour or so later a women called and I told her I have told them not to bother me and that I also called their number and requested the calls stop several times and several days. She said ok ok ok and she hung up. Maybe I finally got thru no calls yet today.
This number is not important for the any person. it is only important for the businessman.

Recevied call to my (unlisted) work cell phone from a man with an Indian-sounding accent, offering free GE home security systems to me and 10 other people in my area. This is a scam. A Google search turns up that GE does NOT direct sell security systems to consumers.
They call almost daily and often hang up when you answer. Today I said "Who are you and what do you want" and a foreign (East Indian?) woman demanded to know "Do you have smoke alarms in your house, yes or no?" I said You have been told to take us off your list, now you do that. She hung up.
I have heard some scams just try to get you to say "yes" on the phone. Something about having you recorded saying "yes" and then they can say you said yes to their offer. Have no idea if that was the goal here, but I never say yes to a stranger on the phone.
What can be done about this pestilence? It is at best annoying and at worse some kind of a scam.
WHY oh Why,do we need to put up with this crap...day in and day out ,some bozos are trying to scam us...what's the point of the "do not call" list!!!!!!!!!
Myself and 10 other people in my neighborhood had been selected to receive a free home security system. Then wanted to know where we were located.

Asking if we have smoke detectors? Called me at home, now we are getting calls at work. At home i told them everyone should have them and i appreciated them calling to ask, then hung up.
usual thing, they have called several times. Can hear random noises, no one answers.
This number is very bad responsing for the every person. but it is maximum time show the switch off.

Just called me on my cell phone...'bout to head home from work. Like Karen, I just heard voices/noise in the background. Nobody answered me. Hung up on his/her invasive ass.
Did not answer because we did not recognize the caller. Did not leave a message, so I'm sure it was some kind of telemarketing. We are on the do not call registry, but receive calls anyway. I guess telemarketers ignore the do not call law.
Foreign sounding lady saying she's callinf from GE finance.....sounds african
I answered and could hear noise/voices in background. I said hello about 5 times, and then the call was disconnected.
My experience was identical to that of "Peggy" exactly 30 days prior to this call.
i.e.,
I Answered, then after about 5 seconds I could hear background sounds for a few seconds; someone was there, but would not speak. I continued to listen, then they hung up.
Never Never give any information to a cold caller's no matter who they say they are. check the caller ID i bet its says unknown name or unavailable. ask them where they got your phone number a big pause hang up....
No company name in caller ID! Hmmmmm if its smells like fish pass on it its probably a telemarketer who cold calls thousands and thousands of homes a day.
Got two calls from the business arrangement marketing a free security system. The young lady that called me after the 701-625-5002 called me with a man telling me I won a free alarm system called from a home phone number. I answered the phone and she said "This is Karen". I ask her what I could do for her and she hung up on me, like she was called by the 701 area code guy, because I had just told him an hour earlier I already had an alarm system. On call back to her it is a recording with a alarm system which to me is related to this guy that called an hour or so earlier. Her number is 903-732-2249. Shows a home phone number on reverse lookup. She is related to him and the number shows a home phone from Powderly Texas. I will contact my friend at the FBI office in Dallas who investigates crimes on the computer and frauds today. He can track her and him in seconds to see where this 903 home phone comes back to and other agents near Powderly Texas see who is living at that home address number who just called me. If you call the 903 number it is a recording with a home monitoring system. Typical scams like this one help lend the FBI a hand in helping arrest and prosecute these criminals. I think they might of called the wrong person when they got me. I love hearing when the FBI has kicked in a door or two and made felony arrest for fraud. My friend the FBI agent does as well. If anyone reading this works for the phone company they too can lookup the home address of that land line phone number and report it their local FBI offices. When I did a reverse lookup twice to double check it was a land line number she called from it shows only Powderly. Texas.
Woman with accented voice stated it was a call regarding survey on home protection systems. I advised her we were on no-call list, and plan on reporting this to the AG here in WV.
This place has been trying to call for several days, always when we are not home and there is never a message left. Since I have never heard of DKR Group I am sure that it is just another annoying, Do Not Call list ignoring telemarketer!!
I man, whom sounded like he was from India, called and said he was from a survey company, which he didn't give the name of, and then immediately proceeded to ask me if we had fire detectors in my house. I told him since I didn't know who he or his company were, I would not answer any questions. I told him not to call back again. He abruptly hung up without any acknowledgment of my request for them not to call back. They had called a month ago, same crap about survey, but I said don't call here again. They also hung up then, but the difference was then, he wasn't able to shot out any questions. Again, the previous month's call was someone who sounded like he was from India. I called the number back earlier in an attempt to gain the identity of the company. All I heard was an automated message about removing my number and to do such press 1. I did this, just to see what it would do. Nothing happened. No messages or anything about removing me. Also, again, the company did not identify itself period, just that automated message and nothing else.
I filed complaint with the DO NOT CALL site (donotcall.gov), but it says they don't handle individual requests and only will investigate if multiple complaints are received. So, if you want this place to stop calling, I'd suggest filing a complaint. Maybe then it will spur them to investigate them.
I don't answer unknown numbers. When they didn't leave a message I went to whitepages.com to do a reverse look up. All it could tell me was that is was probably a cell number from Martin ND, so I put the number and location in "Bing" and found this site. Obviously it was some kind of scam from the posts below and I'm glad I didn't answer it.
called, I answered. There was a fair amount of background noise. They said they were a survey co. and they were not selling me anything. The man (sounded foreign) asked me how many smoke detecters I had in my home.
I told the man it was none of his business, told him I had a private # and not to call back. He hung up.

It's a recording about debt reduction information. Asks you to press 1 to speak with someone; when you do it tells you to hold for a representative. Then after a few minutes it transfers you to a voicemail.
