Our number is on the Do Not Call Registry and we don't answer any calls from numbers, and names, that we don't recognize. We're fed up with these companies ignoring the registry and bothering us anyway. I am not interested in anything they have to sell or say and politicians beware, we know who we're voting foe and why so we don't need your BS, KNOCK IT OFF!!!!!!!!! We just might answer and give you a blast in the ear with my boat horn!

This was a 'fix-your-computer-from-internet-virus' scammer...trying to get me to open system files for them. 3rd time this same bunch of foreign sounding bastards have called. Where are you, FBI?

I am also on the do not call list and they still call. It is so aggravating to receive a call on a dailing machine. They should be fined.

These people are idiots. I keep getting robocalls asking me if I've received my local directory for Mt. Joy, Elizabethtown, and Columbia. Those cities are in Pennsylvania. I live in Virginia and have a telephone number with a Virginia area code. I'm so sick of these morons, I'm going to block the number

This is a service to check on your phone book delivery. They hire temps to deliver and want to make sure that the books get to you. If you don't want the pile of books, go to yellowpagesoptout.com and spend a few minutes picking what you do want. I did it several months ago and last week I received the one and only book I requested. Saved me a trip to the recycle center!

For those of you saying "are you paranoid", try to THINK for a moment.

There are so many junk calls, that most unrecognized numbers end up being unwanted. I just don't want to be bothered. They could have left a message, that's all it would take. Then I could call them back, or I would at least know who is calling NEXT time!

They left a voice mail message. Said they were the American Vets Association and would have a truck in the area for a pick up November 2nd. You could either call back at a number to arrange for a pick up or visit their website for a pick up. Funny thing is that they called earlier in the day with an 888 number and I wasn't home, but looked that number up and it was also for the American Vets. These people have different numbers they call from. Don't trust any of them.

I do not want junk call. The goverment regaltory agencies should step in.

I "never" answer call IDs that I do not recognize. Caller never leaves a message from this number.

Tired of companies making an end-run around no call regulations. If they wanted my information they would speak to me when I pick up the phone and they wouldn't call five times in a row in one hour! This company has nothing to do with quality assurance or they would leave me alone.

I think it is Yellow book, I got my first call from this # today and Yellow books were delivered in my neighborhood this weekend. I think they may be checking up to make sure they DID get delivered. (hey, Yellowbook, I tossed mine in the recycle bin...who uses a phone book anymore!)

If I want a phone book I'll call and ask for one. I get enough crap calls. Has nothing to do with "Paranoia".

SDDS is a telephone book delivery company. All they are doing is quality assurance to make sure your telephone books were delivered.

All you need to do is say YES! And they will stop calling.

they deliver phone books and are checking to see if you got it. they call to check on their delivery people to make sure they didn't throw them in them trash.

I thought this was a bill collector or something so I did not answer and looked it up. It makes sense that it is about phone books, we just got new ones a few days ago. It is time to go get back on the no phone book list again. Who uses a phone book anymore? What a waste of trees?

I actually did a reverse number check on this phone number. It came back as Cbeyond Communications in Atlana Ga.
I did not answer the phone, (I never do if I don't know the number) They did not leave a message. I hadn't received a new phone
book as other posters have, so I don't know what the call could've been for. I always do a reverse number check on numbers I don't recognize.
I go to 411.com and click reverse phone number. type in the number a click search. Works like a charm.

Just like an earlier post said. This is a verification number to see if you have received your yellow pages phone book. I looked outside and mine is there. Stupid way to do business though!!

In regard to SDDS calls; Something Suspicious? What business calls
that is doing legit business and leaves no message? Not very professional! What business wastes their money to call long distance
just to say nothing? One who has nothing to hide hides nothing, failure to Identify hides something, at least in some opinions!

Who's brilliant idea was to litter my driveway with unwated phonebooks, then robocall about it? I don't need multipe books (all from different companies) anyway now is the time I will be calling to stop delivery to my house.

I no longer answer calls from names I don't recognize so I didn't answer this one either. They didn't leave a msg. I also received a new phone book about a week ago, so looks as if the call may be related to that.

We received the NEW Embarq phone books on our driveway this AM as did all of our neighbors, like litter left at the curb. Last time I got a unsolicited call like this it was to confirm the driver did drop off the directories. Or they do not pay them I guess. Anyways, # was busy on cb and no VM msg left. Waste of time.

in order for you to get off of their call list you have to report your number to them and give them 72 hours to be taken off their list if you do not ask you will not be taken off their list and AG'S office will just blow you off!!!!!!!!!

Hung up when the answering machine recording started. But after reading what others commented, we too received Embarq phone books the other day in our neighborhood in Ohio.

checked the name from caller ID on web. Sleuth was correct, they are a distribution company for phone books. In close proximity to the call I received phone books.

Thanks to caller ID, I didn't answer. No message left. I am on the do not call list. Are computerized surveyers excluded from that list? If so, Telemarketers could see this as a loop hole.

Did get new phone books last week in this area.

Getting calls from these guys on a daily basis. They actually leave a message from "Roger Banff" with an 800 number to call back "TODAY."

I got a call this morning from this number but did not pick up because I didn't recognize the number -- figured it was a sales call. However after reading the comments, I also received two phone books within the last couple of days. So....problem solved, I guess.

I called thenm back, number on phone ID. I told them in Pa and on do not call list and if they call again they will be referred to the AG's office as i am on state and federal do not call lists

i see someone wrote they are quality control for Verizon. Not leaving a number is indicative of many things, none of them quality service.

They called and left no message. Web search shows same info listed by sleuth... they are a phone book distribution company. We did receive our phone book a few days ago dropped in our driveway. I'll block the number with my voice modem anyway.

A quick perusal of the web turns up sddsinc.com

Their site claims they are located outside of Atlanta (which agrees with the reverse phone lookup). It looks like they distribute phone books for phone companies. Did you recently get your local yellow/white pages dropped in your driveway? I did. Usually they then follow that up with a call to make sure you received your phone book. Cheers!

They called and left no message. Reverse lookup shows nothing, except that it is a landline based in Georgia.
