In Missouri. Call about everyday regarding credit cards but when we called it had to do with a adult phone service where you're told "men press 1" and "women press 2".
p.s. If you live in Missouri, you can go to ago.mo.gov and file a complaint online!!
We receive phone calls from this number everyday. Today I decided to push "1" to talk to someone. When I said "yes, you guys called me" there was some shuffling and then the phone hung up. I called my phone company to see what I should do to get them to stop and she said to call local law enforcement and file a report (which I'm sure they would be not so "thrilled" to do). I think I will contact the Office of the Attorney General for Missouri- they are in charge of the No Call list. They need to know this is happening. If no one speaks up, they will just keep calling.
Automated message about lowering my credit card interest rate and the fact it was my "final notice." When I called back, it went to an adult phone service where "men press 1" and "women press 2."
Automated message about lowering my credit card interenst rate. when a guy answered after i pressed 1 to continue the call, he asked if i wanted my rate reduced. I asked which company he was with and was told that they do business with over 500 credit companies. I then said you called me, now which company gave you my information for you to call me, he then hung up. When I called back the number went to a adult phone service.
Received my third final call to lower my interest rates? Georgia appears on I.C.
They left a message saying if I wanted to reduce my interest rates etc. Thought this was against the law if a person is on the no call list. Number came up Georgia on the ID
Caller id said Georgia, I didn't answer and they did not leave a msg
Some low-life, cowardly scum called today. Left message. Press 1 to "Lower credit rate to 6.9%". Press 3 to "Discontinue calls". I called the callerID number back and got "press 1 if you are a female" and "press 2 if you are a male". Come out of the shadows you cowardly pigs.
Call went to voice mail no message was left, must of been a autodialer.
I answered call, robo caller said there is nothing wrong with my credit card but I am paying too much, press 1 for more info, when I did I got a man asking me questions "Do I owe more than $4000 in credit cards" I asked him who is he and what do you know about me, he hung up on me. I called the number on caller ID and I got a phone sex recording.
wanted to lower my credit card to 6.9 when I asked who I was talking to they hung up on me. I called back and it was a dating service number
they hung up on me when I asked who they were
Said they could reduce the rate on my credit cards. They said they needed my credit card number and the last 4 of my social sec #. Which I declined.
Check out talk121.com for another dirty job of this phone number owners/
this is a scam to get your credit card info in order to get your id. the state of missouri is after these people
Just for fun, if you are working or living in an environment that you could do this in, answer the phone whenever a suspected telemarketer is on the line. If you hear a real human voice and they start their shpeel, hold a gas charged air-horn to the phone & blast them for a second or two! You can get them from amazon.com for as little as $7.00 for the 1.4oz can or under $30.00 for the 8oz which will last a very long time if used in short bursts. Refill 8oz cans are about $16.00. Free Shipping often available on orders over $25.00!
Even if it's a recording, wait and see if a human takes over the call or if there is an option for them to start recording you, then blast them!
Don't get mad, GET REVENGE!
I did not answer and they left no message on the answering machine.
I received a call displayed on Caller ID as "Georgia" and the number is 678-398-4833. Upon answering it provides a recording "this is your final notice to lower your credit card interest rates, press one if you want to hear more" so I pressed 1 and a person answered and she said "So you want to reduce your rates is that correct" and I replied "I really just want to know why I received this unsolicited message and how you got my name and number" and she hung up on me. So I called the number back using *67 and it was a porn line of some sort and it said "if you are calling outside of the calling zone (or something like that) long distance charges will apply". What a SCAM. Can't even do anything about it.
I'm sure MagicJack and the others like it are a great thing but they allow SCAMMERS to spoof the Caller ID information and to make annoying calls like this. I would imagine all they want is your credit card information and lowering your interest rate is the last thing on their "to do list" Running up your account balance is on the top. I thought they were putting together some kind of govenment oversight commitee to crack down on this crap and internet phone SPOOFING/PHISHING
Last chance for reducing credit card intrest? Pass.
"Important information about your credit card account." Yeah, sure.
Recorded message ID'd as Cardholder Services saying, "There is nothing wrong with your card at this time, blah, blah, blah." I hung up before the blahs. When I called the number on my caller ID, it was a telephone matchmaking service.
