Received a call on my cell phone, lady with Oriental accent saying she was from China. I told her I do not know you and want my name taken off your list. I then hung up and immediately got a call back. ID showed California. I immediately tried to put the number on my reject list but had to wait until I could reject the second call. They actually logged three calls before I could get it on my reject list, at 9:00, 9:01, and 9:02.
CALLER FROM THIS NUMBER WAS ACTING LIKE HE HAD BEEN IN AN ACCIDENT AND WAS SCAMMING FOR MONEY..ACTING TO BE SOMEONE ELSE I KNEW. SUBJECT WAS UNABLE TO VERIFY PERSONAL INFO THAT I KNEW ABOUT THE PERSON HE WAS ACTING TO BE.
Exactly the same thing that happened to Fritz happened to me.
Like many of the other reports, my call was a back-to-back assault with the first call showing UNAVAILABLE on the caller ID screen and the 2nd call displayed (661) 748-0241. Both calls were to my cell phone. In the past, my cell phone had almost NO troublesome calls like this but that seems to be changing. I'm getting more and more "junk" calls on my cell phone which is somewhat disturbing. The caller left a voice mail but I just deleted it without hearing the caller's message - I'm sure it was just one more "scheme machine" call.
