These people called my house and asked for my daughter by name. The name on caller ID stated Maritz Research and asked if anybody had used and/or gone to Bank of America in the last 30 days.

I tried to find a page at their site to have my number taken off. I could not so far.
We don't do surveys and don't talk to people we don't recognize on the ID. If they are scouting houses to break into, they will be met with a 40 caliber Glock, fully loaded and soon to be unloaded in the burglar's face.
Someone is always home. Ex-special forces here which they don't want to tassel with!

Legitimate co's can either ID themselves or do without our answering.

Tried to sell cemetary plots for pets. They are not a research company! They sell items over the phone.
There is NO need ever to call a scammer to be 'removed from a list'. They shouldbn't be calling you to begin with.
Caller stated his name was Michael St........ I could not understand his last name. He stated he was calling on behalf of BB&T. He wanted to ask me some questions about banking. I asked him what this was in reference to and he immediately disconnected.
Caller ID gave the name as Maritz Research. If he had been legitimate for BB&T, he would have explained about the call.

Called at 8:45 Central but I am in Eastern Time Zone now. They should not be able to call cell phones because they never know what time it is where you are. Not everyone wants to pay for these calls in cell minutes.
Claimed to be representing Bank of America. Asked if I worked for several different business types, asked if I was over 18, asked about the amount of my deposits. I said I didn't have a way to track it at the moment and they said thanks and ended the survey or either that was all the questions.
Why would Bank of America sponsor this? Are they finding out where all the banking business is going? I am blocking the number with Call Control on Android
I bought a car battery from advanced auto 2 weeks ago & rec'd the first maritz call today. I dialed their "do not" call line & keyed in my phone# to be removed.

I received a call from this number. I returned the call because I am registered for "do not call". They
do not have to comply because they are registered as marketing vs. Telemarketers however they
provided a number 1 800 864 8601, that you can call to register for their org to place you
on their do not call list. I just did it and I hope it works.

i called it back from a landline and blocked my number, its a marketing research company, not a telemarketer not a sales call, they just want your opinion on whatever it is they're calling about... no biggie but im to busy to answer calls like that!!

Finally changed their Caller ID. Is there any way to block these clowns?!
