Jason Platts says his family can't thank Western New York enough for their help and calls the night an Amber Alert was issued when his child was kidnapped.
The case began at 7:45 Monday evening, Serenity's mother says a grandmother was watching the four-year-old girl in the family's home on Tremont Street when a former family friend, David Grover, came into the house to use the bathroom. When the grandmother returned to the room, she says both Serenity and Grover had disappeared.
Police launched a massive search, even issuing an Amber Alert to try to find David Grover and Serenity Platts. Around 12:15am Tuesday a car pulled up and dropped the girl off at her house.
A short time later Grover was taken into custody by police on Niagara Falls Boulevard in Amherst.
Is this an NCO Collector?

It was $200,000 but now, bail for David Grover is $20,000. He's the man charged with kidnapping a four year old North Tonawanda girl earlier this week.
2 On Your Side has obtained a copy of David Grover's statement to police. In it, he details why he went to the child's home and how she ended up in his car for four hours.
Grover has been arraigned in North Tonawanda on charges related to the Monday night abduction of four year old Serenity Platts. Judge William Lewis set bail at $200,000.
The little girl was taken from her home shorlty before 8:00 pm and dropped off nearly four hours later. Authorities say there was no sign that the child was physically abused. Still, no motive for the kidnapping has been released.

One of the nation’s largest debt-collection firms will pay $1.5 million to settle Federal Trade Commission charges that it violated the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA) by reporting inaccurate information about consumer accounts to credit bureaus. The civil penalty against Pennsylvania-based NCO Group, Inc. is the largest civil penalty ever obtained in a FCRA case.
NEVER GIVE A DEBT COLLECTOR YOUR BANKING OR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION. MAKE THEM VALIDATE THEIR CLAIMS.
NCO is so bad, that in 2003, they have been sued 40 times for violations of the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA). These suits are usually filed when consumers are abused in violation of state and federal debt collection laws.
NCO is a money-mill, gobbling up competitors, buying portfolios of old debts for pennies, and expanding globally. These money-beggars are making their bottom-line profits at the expense and abuse of consumers.
One wonders how many lawsuits are NOT being filed because consumers do not know their rights or that NCO CAN be held accountable for their illegal debt collection practices
ONE OF AMERICA'S WORST COLLECTION AGENCYS!
Do not let NCO's under-trained, uneducated and FDCPA lacking debt-collectors make a paycheck at your expense.
