This is a scam company representing itself as many charities. They called me today at 8 am and the guy said he was Mike Murphy from some children's hunger charity. I could hear a TON of people in the background as if it was a call center. I told him he'd woken me up as I worked nights. He apologized and said he'd call again some other time.
Not 2 minutes later the SAME GUY called from another (local) number 708-931-1511, same name but telling me he was from a whole other charity collecting money. There was not ONE noise in the background. I said Hey wait ..you just called me from a children's charity like a minute ago. He freaked out, went silent for 10 seconds and then hung up on me.
These people/these callers/these robo calls are taking my life over. We have an unlisted number, we have a block on our land line that won't let "unknown callers" or "out of area" get through, we only let our answering machine pick up calls we don't recognize, we're on the Do Not Call list, we have had drag down fights with telemarketers to STOP calling and take our name off lists only to have them start calling from other numbers.
This is way out of hand, I don't blieve it is that impossible for our gov or the FCC or the BB to end this. I have a ton of ideas, why don't they?

This "company" is a scam! They called twice today using numbers with only different last digits. Both times asking for my wife, when I asked who they were they were reluctant to tell me. When I threatened to file a complaint with the Do Not Call Registry, the first call said they were from the County FOB (Fraternal Order of Police) and the second call they told me they were Vietnam Veterans (no association). This company is trying to scam you out of your money. If they call you please file a complaint with the Do Not Call Registry: donotcall.gov Stop these scammers NOW!!!
