Who Called Us

Robo-dialer said to call 866-315-1862 to receive an important message about my Discover Card. When I called 866-315-1862, I hear another message stating the person at ext. 403-451-2885 is not available and to leave a message. I didn't leave a message.

Don't have Discover card and they called at 8:15, 11:15, 1, and 5:15

Always calling and accout is paid! The fools never check their mail and jump to conclusions.

You don't haave to answer, you don't have to talk to them, you don't have to help them locate someone to harass, you don't even have to give them common decency they don't deserve it. If they don't like it they ought to get a respectable job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Very insistent broad asking for a name and demanding help as if i made my living helping her locate someone to harass. These scum bags have got gall they get their blood sucking bucks from hassel and expect others to help them they are asking the wrong person for help!!!

THis is annoying me i have to pay for every call please get them to stop if you can im sick of it

Oh, and not to mention that my girlfriend has gotten these scam calls and they will actually give out people's personal information!!! She was able to write down the personal information of someone else. She called them and told them to sue and would be willing to be a witness to state that the schmuck willingly gave out someone else's information. Some GUYS information no less. Even though my girlfriend told them up and down a dozen times that no one else uses her cell phone and that she was going to sue them for wasting her minutes. The STILL gave out this guy's name, address, phone, credit card number and social security number.

Sometimes I think a high unemployment rate is good. That means the IDIOTS at the bottom of the barrel wont be working.

I dont care what their purpose is. They are calling my cell phone and that phone number is on the do-not-call list. Its MY minutes and if they arent polite enough to be there when I answer the phone, then f--k them. I just filed a complaint with the NC Attorney General and my personal attorney. 57 calls in 4 days. This is absurd. I dont care if this is an "auto-dialer" or a computer connecting lazy and rude kids to me after the computer calls me. I will teach them manners if I have to shove those manners up their azz with my size 13 boot.

Phone rings and I say "hello?", there had BETTER be someone there to say "hello, this is xxxxxx calling about yyyyyy" NOT some digitized computer voice saying "please hold......" Screw that. I am not holding for anyone. I dont care if its the Pope's office calling.

Started again after a lull. Dont pick up and hang up. It just trains the dialing computer that there is someone home at certain times.

They've been calling for days now, including before 10 am on Sunday! I never answer but I finally became curious so I looked it up and found this page. Obviously, I'm not the only one to be annoyed.

have gotten 3 calls from them. So I looked them up here. I don't have a discover card, so I called to clear it up. Apparently my cell number shows up as attached to someone named Rory's account. They claim that Rory called them recently from my cell phone. I don't know anyone named Rory. They are going to "see what they can do to fix it."

they called and left a voicemail and it was a recording saying 3 numbers and then hung up. waste of time.

For the past week have been getting 6 calls a day (a call,hang up, call right back 3x a day). They finally left a message to call them, but with a different number. I've had this card for YEARS and have never rec'd a phone call from them...even when I've been 2 months overdue. So now I'm getting calls when I'm current!!?? Stop calling!

After *several* "please hold" messages, person said she was "Megan", I think, and was asking (2 days in a row before 8:30am) for Danielle. There hasn't been anyone at this number by that name in at least 25 years that I've had it. No mention of Discover.

I keep getting calls from this number, even after I have called Discover and they have told me I have no outstanding payments.

For weeks we have had hangups during the day and evening. Finally, yesterday they announced on the answering machine to call Discover Card. We didn't phone back, nor do we have an account. They phone here about every hour during the day. I finally phoned a customer service number for Discover Card and explained that my number is on the "do not call" list and to tell the people in Phoenix to stop calling here. The rep claims that there is a person named "George" at my number. I told her that was false and I've had this number for 20 years.

I called the number back and it is discover financial and they are calling if you have a past due amount on your account. They will not leave a message if you don't answer. If you do answer they will ask you to pay the amount due on the account right then and there.

They just called my private number in my home office. She asked for a lady by her first and last name. I told her she had the wrong number. She repeated my number and I said yes that's my number. She started to grill me on when I got the number. I told her I had it for over five years. She said "well, she put this number down, are you sure she doesn't live there."

I said "I know who lives here and have no clue who you are looking for, she wrote the wrong number of or you can't read the writing. Don't call again."

Wonder how many times they will call.

Auto Redialer - never anyone on the line. Just wasting my time and theirs.

The 866-215-1862 number was left in voice mail.

They will call 2-3 times a day. I have no idea what it is for, because they have been calling a business, and the person has been on vacation, and despite the many times I told them to document this fact in their database, more calls the next day. I just lift up/hang up receiver when I see them in the caller ID.

Discover Financial, called again, this time got message to hold on for an important message, I hung up!

Got like 4 calls from them. They needed to talk to my parents (I have no idea how they got my number). I asked them what for and they said it was personal. I gave them my parents number but they still kept calling. They told me to tell the to call back at (866)2151862 and it is the number for Discovery card

Discover calling everyday leaving no message and the DEMANDING an immediate payment - my husband said I could call them back but they told him it was not necessary -- WHY WAS IT SUCH A BIG DEAL THEN???

I have been receiving cellular calls from this same number on a daily basis; however, I do not answer calls from individuals not identified in my address book.

This place calls me 2-3 times per day, and usually results in my 5 month old waking from him naps. I am so sick of it, there has to be something that can be done about it!

I've been ignoring their daily calls for about a week or two now because I
didn't recognize the number. I just answered it by accident and heard an
anonymous message asking me to call an (866) number - also unidentified.
Gathering from the postings here, I see that it's most likely relating to my
Discover account. I am canceling this card as I find it highly annoying dealing with a company who cannot come out in the open when contacting a long-time customer. My only problem in the last few months was just trying to get my new online bill payment service to sync up with a miserly
recurring charge & payment of $8.99 per month. A trivial matter turning
into such an elaborate scheme just to get a customer to contact
them!#$!*%$#!?!

Had this problem last month with Discover Card marketeers (probably 3rd party idiots). I complained to discover card, they don't know anything. I will send discover card my torn up cards and add this phone number to my do not call list.

Called several times a day. Only the number displays. They have called 3 times today. After using this service, I checked my Discover account and the next payment is not due for 2 weeks.

They call every hour, and if you don't answer, call right back.

It's discover card. They are calling my business about an employee here.
I inform them that employee isn't allowed personal phone calls, they still call back giving various names "consumer service" "Debit Department" and latest was "Employment verification"

Discover card doesn't know fair debt collecting practices. I don't have one and recommend you all get RID of yours.

many people get calls that are not for them. this is annoying but you need to answer the call and you need to inform the rep that this is not the number for the person that they are looking for and to please remove the number from there call list. most companys are good at getting the number removed.

Did not recognize the number so I did not pick up, no message because my fax machine blared it out....I have a discover card but have never been late paying or ever over my limit so it doesn't make sense if it is Discover card collections.

It was someone called Simon wanting to talk to me (had my correct first and last name). I asked him where he got the number and he got nervous. Said he was from DiscoverCard and needed to talk to me. Been getting this call for the last few days. Thought it might be a phishing scam.

Just got off the phone with actual Discover Card Rep. They said the number is indeed one of theirs. Its from their Telemarketing branch. I asked them to take my cel number off their list. The Rep said they would.

Received two calls in two days. A call came in from either Glendale, AZ or Peoria, AZ and the message told me to hold for a important message. After a minute of wait a live person is asking for some else other than me. Very annoying and rude.

Received a phone call from this number. All I heard was Dead Air. Lasted about 1 full minute then the line went dead. NOONE was on the other end. Came up as from Phoenix AZ.
