Definitely Xentel DM. Called this number and got the usual Xentel spiel of "calling you is the most cost-effective way to reach our goal". The toll-free inbound number for these mouth-breathers is 1-800-317-0667 (with the usual Xentel nerdy guy's voice on this number's announcer).

these people have called many times and have awaken someone sleeping a number of times. They have been told to remove our number from their lists, but have failed to do so. They say that they are Zentel calling for the police, fire dept., or other orginizations in the area and they want donations. I think that it is a corp. that calls for donations alright, but that most of the money goes in their pockets.

The company is Xentel, Inc. Our house gets 3-4 calls from them a month, always from a different phone number, usually from "Unknown Name". I've found a Do Not Call email address for them (dontcall@xentel.com) and sent a message off today. I can only hope it actually works. These people have all but made me quit donating money to anyone.

Many calls from this number. Today a drunk or sleepy sounding guy asked for Jana. (not me) I asked that they update their records. This is a new number for me. We have asked that they not call us before and we are on the DNC list.

Call DAILY, sometimes twice a day, from 618-215-5471. Night calls come between 7:30 and 7:45. Caller ID reads "Illinois call" -- claims to be Illinois Police Assoc. Will not accept my request not to call, will not take no for an answer, and claims to be exempt since it is a "charity"

For all of you who say you are the "do not call list". Let me explain the reasoning why you get calls. There is a difference between TELEMARKETING, and TELEPHONE INTERVIEWING. Telemarketing is what you are on the do not call list for, these people try to get you buy things. Now telephone interviewing is your chance to let your opinions to be heard by the CEO, CFO, Presidents,(Etc...) of companies. They call you to ask you questions to see how satisfied you are with products, government officials, laws being passed. This is your chance to be heard by "The Man". People always complain that people don't change things and that they don't listen to "the little guys" This is your chance when an unavailable, unknown name, "a state", or a company calls to let your voice be heard. If you don't want them to keep calling you to get your opinions all you have to say, in a nice voice is, please take me off your calling list, thank you! That is it! So next time you get a call, listen to the introduction and see if you would be interested in the survey, heck, sometimes you may be offered money at the end, if not you have the satisfaction of knowing that your voice is going to be heard!

Shows only on my caller id. I have never answered & they never leave a message either. I am on the do not call list. The called today 2-2-07 & have called probably a dozen times in the last 2 months.

They've called me several times over the last week and it is always the same. I say hello and they hang up. Even if they are exempt from the Do Not Call list, there has to be someway to stop their harrassment.

It came up as Beleville IL on my caller ID.

They call on an almost daily basis. Usually there is nobody answering after I say hello, but one time they did answer. Something about a police charity.

When they called on the 9th of January I asked them to stop calling and they continue to call. I asked them to take me off their list, her reply, same as the last time. "I will sir." When I told her this is the third time I've asked to be taken off she hung up on me.

Why do you always have to call @ 8am?!?!? I work nights!!! And, I am also on the "Do Not Call" List.

This is Zentel, a fundraising organization, not a charity itself. Only a small percentage of what they collect goes to the charity.

They are pushy, rude and totally obnoxious

If they are a real charity or non-profit, they are exempt from the Do Not Call list. I didn't know the Illinois Police needed money... isn't our tax money enough? Maybe these calls are a scam... anyone know?

I received a call from this number during the Bears/Seahawks game yesterday,. I then received a call this morning at 8:07 AM. How Rude! We are on the Do Not Call list as well.

I have filed a compliant against them four or five times in the last two weeks.

Came up as "Illinois Call". They've called SEVERAL times. Ugh. I'm on the do not call list too.

I am guessing that this is The Police wanting a donation. I have donated in the past but they don't understand when you can not donate. They don't want to take no for an answer. I am on the do not call list.

This is the fourth time they have tried to call me. I reported them for violating the national do not call list all four times. Just because they MIGHT BE excempt from the do not call list laws does not mean we can't report them for violating it.
