Somebody called and did not leave a message. THe number read 1800 975-0791. If you have any experience with these people, please add to this comment page.

This number keeps harrassing calls coming in on my number. And won't stop calling. They don't leave a message and continue to hang up when the answering machine activates. I'm on the no caaller list. i wish that these people that this number 1-800-829-7750 belong too. Stop. They are wasting the space on the answering machine and I continue have to delete the calls. this space that I need to save more important calls is becoming more andmore frustrating as more days pass by.

I want them to stop calling. I am on the do not call list I will complain.

They keep calling me everyday for a week and saying they are Bank of America and trying to sell me some Identity Theft Insurance. I am so mad at them I hung up on them and told them not to call and they called again. About 7 times so far.

After claiming to not live here (they were calling for me) they immediately hung up. I called the number right back and there is an option to press "1" and have your number taken off the telemarketer list, but you "may have to wait up to 30 days for it to take effect" sheesh.

go to your phone office and have them block them out all the numbers that you get ok. i have 2 diferant numbers that came up (616-980-2746)(616-980-2257) (1-Tn removal SYS)and the (2nd one is opp Intl) PS- i'm getting tryed of these phone call's that are coming in they are a joke!

the 616-980-xxxx is a whole huge block of numbers owned by the Lucre company. They lease out these numbers to anyone willing to pay to spam you with annoying and sometimes incoherent phone calls. Four times a day or more, you will get calls selling grave plots for your dead granny, insurance policies, political crap, etc. etc. They are ALL autodialers with recorded messages. I wish I could at least get the satisfaction of screaming at a live human being, but no.

If you ever get a 616-980-xxx call, you can pretty much ignore it. This company owns a huge block of these numbers. They are all autodialers with recorded messages. Sometimes they will call you 3-4 times a day. One can't even have the satisfaction of cursing these people out, since it is just a recorded message which could be about anything at all... discount grave plots for your granny, insurance policies, etc.

I got this call at 2:20 am on a Sunday. Republican National Commitee speech going on with someone quoting Mick Jagger saying "you can't always get what you want"

616 980 2604 got a voice message of Barrack Obama talking about hybrid cars in china.

Someone is always calling from this number at around 11 pm est, and you can't dial the number back, its one of those call out but can't call back in numbers, it's some type of scam and i will get to the bottom of it.

Ditto - I also have Vonage and they call 2 or 3 times per day (as late as 9:30 PST).

Also, I've seen the number display as either 6169802604 or 16169802604.

This number has called several times per day for the past two days. Regardless of whether I pick it up or let the answering machine pick it up, all I get is a few seconds of static, then a hangup.

Pretty damn annoying.

@ 01:57 received the call this morning on 1/12/08. Showed unknown name on the caller id and after picking it up, it was silent. will file a report with the FCC. but best solution for an individual is probably just to block it, if they have that feature on their phone system.

Another call into Nova Scotia - this one about 2pm EST - my answering machine picked up and they disconnected without leaving a message.

Hung up on me after I answered.

I'm in Nova Scotia, Canada (east coast). I work nights (7PM to 7AM) and sleep days then have a few days off. A couple of days ago there was a call at about 11AM that I ignored. I meant to check via *69 before I left at 4PM for work but rushed out and checked on returning at 8:30AM the next morning. *69 reported that the last number to call me was (616)980-2604 !!! Don't know if this call was while I was at work or the offending one at 11AM. A friend and I have also received calls where the # is all (or mostly) 0s. My thanks to all of you who reported your experiences with these calls and to Who Called Us. Hope your FCC roasts these guys - good!!

The FCC doesn't care. If it's a political message, those idiots on capitol hill wrote the law exempting political calls.

They call me at least once a week. It is always around 3:30 AM. The caller ID says, D BT Services. How do I stop this?

Same stupid letters....go to the web site and most of the numbers except the on number: 888-go-lucre which says "connect now to local single ladies" and a fax number that still works (how both sending some very black faxes..like 100 pages, at 616-361-5717 the 616-361-0128 was off at first, now busy. I think this is a smear campaign against demos, and any health care int. I for one hate to be jolted out of bed at 2:30 in the morning...you think "oh my god, what happened to who," for some big fat sleazy repub laying in his bed asleep. I will not vote for another repub for 18 months, don't care who it is, because of this!!!!! Sent complaint to ftc...but we all know they don't do anything!

I got calls from this number at all hours of the night. I would very much like to be removed from their calling list.

I have Vonage, with one of my numbers having a Michigan area code. Really annoying! These dorks are calling me every half hour with their stupid recorded message about the Teamsters, MI auto workers and who knows what else, because it's a long recorded message and I can't listen that long since they are intrusive and because I don't care. If the campaign (of who knows?) can't put a live person on the phone, then I don't want to waste my time. They are ticking me off!!!

I have had 2 calls, both between 2:00a.m and 5:00.I would love to get ahold of these idiots that set it up. Think of all the people not using this form. Not reporting it! We were not home but there were 2 calls on the I.D. that were 1 hr apart.

Those who claim they have "researched" this and know who it is are jumping to conclusions or buying into Internet speculation, rumor or pure BS. I haven't been able to get beyond the CLEC, but I am working on it. I too have been victimized by these idiots. There seem to be reports of the "speeches" being recordings of every major candidate but two, Obama and Huckabee. My guess, and it is just a guess, is that this is a dirty tricks activity by one of the campaigns, most likely Obama, but possibly a lesser candidate like Ron Paul, or some interest group who thinks they are "helping" their side. I would assume that any candidate whose voice you hear is one you can assume is *not* behind this. Politicians are stupid, but even they aren't stupid enough to think waking you up is a good idea. Don't be suckered into falling for the trick. And for the technically inclined among you, switch your phones to an Asterisk server and filter out the idiots. I have several calls from these morons in my logs, but they can't get through to bother me.

This phone number is not valid anymore, it goes to a fax machine. If you look at the address, it goes to a residential neighborhood in the Washington DC area. The house was owned by Betty and Dale Turner. I haven't found out any more info yet about this.

called 12/26 at 11:58 p.m. a recorded message. Then at 12:16 which was then the 27th another call. Again a recorded message with lots of background noise. I hung up both times.

Recording of woman's voice ranting and raving about something. I listened for a little while but apparently not long enough to find out what she was talking about. At first I thought she was talking to someone else and I yelled and yelled to get her attention. Then I figured out it was a recording when I looked at my notes from other nonsense calls and saw the familiar caller ID. I get calls from this caller ID to my toll-free numbers, which means I pay a lot to be victimized by these SOB's and it's really starting to frustrate me. I don't know why the US is so lax about this kind of stuff. A Canadian would never get away with it.

I was at work, 6:30 pm, A Medical/Surgical Advice company, limited number of Technical Reps available for Doctors and Surgeons who may need technical advice during surgery, and I recieved this prank call! This is absurd!! What kind of Self-centered moron calls a company like mine, which is privately listed for Dr's and Medical emergencies? This really needs to stop! A Surgeon could have been forced to wait, while his surgery is being compromised, and the poor patient is put at great risk! The caller kept rambling on and on about some political BS! I've heard that some campaigns have begun to stoop to this level just to get their word out, but I will NEVER vote for a candidate who is this STUPID!!

Call woke me at 6am Saturday morning. Didn't recognize number so I let it go to voicemail. The message was a political discussion, which I googled and found out it was a conversation with Christopher Dodd.

This some very weird telephone scam/prank. Called to my toll-free number and left multiple incoherent speeches. Called 616-980-2604 number and listened to an insane voice message system. It is not Mitt Romney or Republican crap - (those of you who believe that are paranoid morons.) Are they trying to disrupt 100's, 1,000's or more people's early morning sleep? That the only dumb prank that still makes to sense - but that's what dumb pranks are all about by definition.

Played recorded blather, no human available. Unresponsive to my voice requests. Continued to play until I hung up. This is at least the fifth call in the middle of the night (between 2 and 5am) from this same number. My telephone number IS on the DO NOT CALL registry, and has been for years. I just re-checked and it's still on the list.

They've called us twice, once at 4 a.m. on Sunday morning and now at 6 a.m. on Saturday morning. It is a recorded political message. Aren't there legal requirements for appropriate hours to call people???? I would like to report them.

I called the company listed (lucre)and had a nice conversation with a gentleman there. He said they are a reseller of phone numbers. they are not responsible for the calls, but have been getting complaints about the calls. He could not give the name of the company that owns the number, because of privacy laws, but has reported them.

This company called with some political message on our business lines. Someone needs to track these people down from what Ive read in these comments.

You can call the company and subpoena the information on the telemarketer that is making the call. You can get the contact inforamation on lucre.net. Anyone want to file a lawsuit?

Received 2 freaking long voice messages that make absolutely no sense to my toll free number. Both voicemails were related to some canidate speaking and it seemed like it just started mid-speech and ended the same way.

They called at 1:08am on the 8th then again this morning, 12/11, at 6:11am. This is ridiculous.

Probably called my home; busy caused roll to my cell. No name on caller-ID, only the number. I was busy; but, looking at this record, I'm probably glad I didn't have the opportunity to answer! -- Fortunately, this was at 1547, not some ridiculous hour of the day or night. But I still don't need this type of call while I'm at work.

I really don't understand what they are trying to accomplish. These phone calls always come between the hours of 10:00 PM CST and 5:30 AM CST and they are always on the weekends. So if they are trying to call businesses, no one would be there. If they are trying to call residences, they would be waking people up and making them angry. No message would ever serve a positive goal. It seems that it would only serve to defeat their goals and waste their telecommunications dollars. I am going to file a complaint with the FCC, BBB, Attorney General in Michighan and I am going to spend the $45.00 on a harrasment lawsuit for $5,000.00.

This person has called twice. First time at 10:33 pm, went to answering machine, no message. We have a toll-free line and our phone bill said it came from a different number in Waterbury CT. The 2nd call was this morning at 3:53 am! It was a recorded politcal call. I am filing a complaint with FCC.

With Halloo Communications you can use filter rules to hang up or play a remove number message. You can also have time-of-day forwarding rules.

This is really an annoyance and it is getting more common. The only way to fight it is with the "anti-virus" of telephony - filtering the calls.

Received this call twice in the past three weeks to my toll-free business number. Even though the CID indicates 616-980-2604, my toll-free bill shows the ANI information as an E. Los Angeles number: 213-415-0007. I believe the Caller ID is being spoofed, and the calls are not originating from the 616 number...

Call came in at 4:23 AM PST. Sounded like recorded "happy" voices but it was early and clearly a machine-dialed call so I hung up. Called number back and message said to enter my phone number to be removed from "list".

Received call at 2:57 AM. The number called is on the do not call list. I answered hello several times, but no one spoke. As per other entries, a pre-recorded excerpt of what seemed to be a political talk show filled the background. In the midst of that, I heard one click sound, as if a recorder button had been pushed. I listned for approx. one minute and hung up. This morning, I discovered that the number is from the Grand Rapids area. My caller ID showed D BT SVCS and tel. # 616-980-2604. Judging by the Map, the preponderance of calls appears to be Mid West to Atlantic regions. Its interesting to note that one complaint was received from the UK, London area. I was pleased to learn of this "Who Called Us" website and to know I wasn't alone. I plan to report, as others have done, to the FCC.

Answering machine received call at 4:12 AM. - no message. I am going to report this as a DNC violation.

Called at 11:49pm on 11/28/2007. It's political related, and they are exempt from the Do Not Call list (complete bullshit). I have that number on a list of unwanted callers, and they were "zapped" by my CallStation software.

On voice mail left a 5 minute speech from Hillary Clinton played at 45 speed.

They called a business/toll free line. If they called my residence, which I do not use for business, then I would try to (1) press *57 after the call to get a record locked into my local phone company which can be subpoena'd later as 3rd-party verification of the call, (2) take a photo of the callerid, plus one in case the first turned out fuzzy, (3) write down what I remember of the message, and what I did or said, (4) make a copy or digital file of any audio message(s) left, and (5) look into the TCPA and related federal statutes for calls outside of the window allowed (I think 8am to 9pm), as I think there is very strong protection from this type of interruption on a residential line.

This was some dialer that played what sounded like a political rant on Thanksgiving day. It's very annoying.

Rec'd ph call at 7:23 AM, C.S.T. - said "hello, and then the company name" - dead air - so I hung up. Did a bit more research, and then I reported this to the FCC at:

esupport.fcc.gov

which can be found thru Google, and/or if you do a reverse lookup on this ph number there are others who are complaining as well. So I took the effort to fill this info in to the FCC. I detest telemarketers with their sleazy calls, especially after we have filled out Do Not Call Lists, after lists.

To all you nice folks out there - YOU'VE GOT TO TAKE THE TIME TO REPORT THESE PHONE CALLS - OTHERWISE NOTHING WILL EVER GET DONE ABOUT IT.

Call came in at 10:42pm. Aren't even political calls not allowed so late? Pre-recorded message, politics related. The first part was cut off, and we limit messages to 4 minutes so the end part was cut off. The 4 minutes I got was them just droning on about their plan.

What the devil are they calling me at 11:39 PM for! I have no idea even what the phone call was about as I dozed back off for a few minutes after answering it. There was some guy with a "canned" message not even sure what he was selling or talking about, I just hung up. Made it hard to get back to sleep. Called 11-19-2007

Got a call at 5 am

Received a call bannering this CallerID data; didn't answer it; it left a three minute message on my answering machine that sounded like a political message (that message is saved and has been offered to the FCC in my Form 1088 filing of this). To top this off, they called _MY_ 800 number with this (which makes it blatantly illegal).

Called at 4:00am. Long rambling speech about the war in Iraq and how only Congress could stop it.

who ever this ass#$%^&* was they called at 2am with their polictical bull$%^&* and did'nt have the b%^&*s to speak. ANNOYING

Called me at 6:30 PST and went in to some strange political ramblings

4:27 call with political speach against gays and other misc things. Investigative database shows it belongs to: D BT SVCS GRAND RAPIDS, MI.

This republican slamming automated dialer is calling TOLL FREE numbers! I have to PAY to hear their bull crap! This is against the law. You cannot put the cost of advertising onto the user.

This call DIDN'T REGISTER on my Caller I.D. but showed "Lucre" as the telephone carrier. They are located at 4011 Plainfield Ave; N.E., Grand Rapids, MI. This call came in at 11:35 p.m. and just had a television or radio playing in the background. I will report as other commenters have advised.

Anyone a victim of telephone harassment due to retaliation of some sort? I want to write a book to help consumers and get legislation changed nationwide because the laws haven't kept up with technology and consumers have no recourse.

Made the mistake of telling the nice lady at the FCC that the call came in on my business line and she said she couldn't take the complaint because the Do Not Call law only applies to residential lines, not business lines. Oh, well. Live and learn.

Our call from this number came at 8:00am on my toll-free business line. It was a recording of Senator Chris Dodd in a press conference, and the recording was playing back at a slightly higher speed than normal, making the voices sound high-pitched. Listened for a few minutes and hung up. Definitely not going to call it back and enter my number. Sounds like a scam to collect phone numbers.

WANT TO GET SOMETHING DONE ABOUT THIS??? NOT ONLY REPORT IT BY FILLING OUT THE FORM ON THE FCC WEBSITE!!! BUT CALL THE FCC 1-888-225-5322(EVERY TIME IT HAPPENS). MOST LIKELY THE FCC PHONE RECORDING WILL SAY, AFTER A LONG WAIT... (THAT THEY ARE RECEIVING ALOT OF CALLS, PLEASE TRY AGAIN LATER), HANG-UP YOUR PHONE AND CALL RIGHT BACK!!! AFTER YOUR 3rd-4th CALL, THEY WILL ANSWER!!! IF WE ALL KEEP DOING THIS, MAYBE THEY WILL GET SICK OF US ALL CALLING & AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS HARASSMENT BY THESE PEOPLE/COMPANY??? If you wait past the long silent gap that was there when I answered, you get a long recording of Hillary Clinton speaking at some engagement where a janitor got up at 5:30 in the morning to open the place. (She thanked him and got applause. Whee.) The recording was edited, you could only hear her and applause and many silent gaps. It also sounded sped up, like she was sucking helium balloons or trying out for an Alvin and the Chipmunks bit. There was a mention of her and Bill. But, it certainly didn't seem like there was a particular message they were trying to get across. Just annoying us with recorded junk. TN REMOVAL SYS is what the caller id showed for me. And, here I am allowing it to waste more of my time.

We received a call from this number (D BT Svcs / Grand Rapids, MI) at 5:28 AM. Scared us as we have elderly parents and twenty-somethings in our lives.

Googled and found this website with the number listed. Called the number back - did the remove number gimmick (yes, we'll see), then reported them to the Reported FCC.

Our message was Hilary Clinton speaking on health care (we're Repubs). Noticed a repub. candidate mentioned on here. Let's hope none of the respectible candidates are stooping to these tactics for votes. Who wouldn't know NOT to phone people, startled them awake, and ask for votes at ungodly hours?

to note: we're on the "no call" list. It's probably helped to a degree, but every week we have telemarketing calls and faxes that come. It's a plague.

Called at 3:38 AM. I called back and got an auotmated phone number removal prompt. I went ahead and did it I'll either get no more calls or now I won't be able to sleep because the phone will be ringing off the hook.

Called at 3:05 AM 11/15. I called back and it was a recorded message asking me to put in my number so i put in a fake number and it just said, thank you and then something like your number has been recorded or you've opted out. I was half asleep.

Called me at 2:00 AM and I was up the rest of the night. I'm pissed!

they called at 2:30 am. When I got tot he phone there was nothing but dialo tone. I have caller id so I called back the number only to find out it is some klind of opt-out service. I reported to FCC.

Long a*s msg from 6169802604 referenced Mitt Romney, but didn't say "paid for by ____" so I can only assume that his campaign in responsible for this unsolicited call that used up 2minutes of my toll-free virtual business line. I have the number rigged to call m cell, home, grandcentral, and ureach, so I get as much callID data as possible.

I called back (the greeting is a number removal line), so I entered the number to be removed. I hope it works. Boooo creepy Political Ads People = SPAM! (hooray, beer - red stripe!)

Mitt Romney campaign hype, but no identification. My voicemail recorder cut it off after 3 minutes. Who knows how long it would have gone on. The caller ID simply shows the supposed city of origin.

Had the voice of an old pedophile...words unintelligible this time, but sounded like a voicemail we received overnight a couple weeks ago...that one included what sounded like a political talk show

These idiots called at 2:45 AM on 11/07/07. When I answered it, there was a very scratchy recorded message that was totally incoherent. Other than the recording, no one said a word. My caller ID only had the number and the city/state listed. This company is based out of Grand Rapids, MI. I have reported them to the FCC.

Left a long message, listened to part of it, didn't make sense, and it was at 11:30pm!

Recorded message. I hung up before I heard the whole thing.

No message.

Hung up on me after I answered.
