From what I have determined...this is a CLEC landline. Meaning...the CLEC, Bandwidth.com is authorized to do business within Verizon's territory. Many telemarketers utilize a CLEC for phone lines as the service is cheap. Numerous lines are calling out under this #. There is no incoming call capacity for these lines. The telemarketers using this number is probably autodialing random phone numbers. The autodialer continues calling the same programmed numbers until it is reprogrammed. It's possible, this telemarketing firm makes $$$ per phone call. They do not actually need to speak with anyone, they just need to have the data to show they called and someone answered X number of calls. Contact the TN Regulatory Authority 800-342-8359 to see if they can assist in stopping this # from further contact.
TN, This "whatever" called and when I answered no one responded. I dont owe on anything so I dont think it was a bill collector. Just some dick or cock hound trying to make a buck.
Called and no one there when I answered. Tried to call them back. It is a Verizon account that cannot take incoming calls.
