Who Called Us

I just moved in, had the phone turned on and then they called and asked for me by name. How the world can they have my new number when I never gave it out. Sounds like the phone company is making $$ on the side by giving out new numbers. Once I told them I wasn't a home owner, they never called back.

Called number back just rings busy. Added to my call rejection list.

yes I too am with charter had my service turned on 3 weeks now and already got 8 calls from everyone.
go to do not call registry and put your number in there I yell at these people when they call me and I threaten to report them.... as for this moron this is a scam business do not have unpublished numbers phones.whitepages.com.... I called them back and left a message on the bogus answering machine I am reporting them to the feds its a scam!

I had an unlisted Voip number for seveal years, then recently made a listing via listyourself.net, then on the 5th day this number calls. When they tell you that "the phone campany sells them numbers", they are lying. They are in fact abusing 411/directory assistance databases, essentially looking for new listings. For them, a new phone can be a new home to sell an alarm system to.

they are calling me to i have just gotten this number from charter communications who has crappy customer service anyway and now i am getting these phone calls i am so not happy. how do i get them to stop.

Since it's a call center you have to wait a few seconds for your call to go through a be picked up by someone. She asked for Mr. or Mrs. X and then told me they were a security company and has installed many in my area. I told her no thank you and not to call again

I know this is ADT trying to get us to buy a home security system, They send us so much mail, and call us all the time, its irritating! They are wasting so much paper, and time, I never answer anymore.

Said they were from Century Security. Wanted to have a sales person come to my house. Told them I already had Brinks installed. They hung up. Since they seem to have many different company names they probably just want to check out my stuff and figure out what they want to steal. Oh and did I mention we just moved in. They still call 3 times a day.

I answered this call and the lady says "May I speak to the homeowner please?" to which I asked "WHO are you looking for?" She said my full name, incorrectly as usual, and then asked if I was interested in Home Security. I live in a freakin' apartment!!! I told her flat out "No, I'm not, and you people need to stop calling me. I've asked you before and if it continues, I will have to take legal action." My only answer was her softly typing something on the other end of the line. She said not another thing, and I hung up on her.

They called me and asked for me by name. I was taken aback as I have an unlisted number. I told them I wasn't interested in a security system. I called the number (614 801-1346) provided by DB (Thank you!) and spoke to a very nice woman. She explained how unlisted numbers aren't truly unlisted. They are blocked by caller ID and not in the phone book but that's all. I was in their system with the correct address and phone number. She took me off their list. I'm glad this happened because now I know how readily available my name and numer are even tho I pay $5.00 a month so it won't be!

I have received at least 4 calls a day from this phone number since had our new phone service hooked up May 30. Whenever I pick it up, it goes to dial tone. This past time however, there was a woman on the other end asking for Mr or Mrs our last name. I told them to please stop calling. I hate having to register with the do not call list again. I wish we could've taken our old number with us esp since we only moved 6 minutes away. The calls from everyone just don't stop....

This idiots call and hang-up I think they are tagging #'s will call local police to report and County Prosecutor

I just left a comment on here about the call I finally answered from these people and google searched the company. it's a telemarketing firm. I send a rather scathing email to the contact address and see no reason why others wouldn't want to do the same. This is the address. Just google the company if you don't trust the info here, it's easy to find.

Has called several times a day since our service was installed. No messages. When I answered today a woman asked for my partner or her husband, I simply said No and she said no one's available then and hung-up. The answer was No, you can't. Period.

im tired of the harrassing phone calls to get up and they dont even say nothing and sometimes they call up to 5 times a day

They have called once a day from 2/1 to 2/8. No message is ever left.

We have new phone service. I was told they are trying to give me an ADT home security system. I said no, they won't give up!

I have received several calls a day from this company. I did tell them to take my number off of their list, but they still call.

I got a call from 6148019510, but they said they were from Power Home Technology. I reported them to the Attorney General of North Carolina, but I don't expect much from him. So, when you get one of these calls let your Attorney General know and maybe we can stop this.

Unknown company...dead line when answered

I got a call from A time share company. I think it should be illegal for phone companies to sell your number when you get new service.

They have called several times a day since we signed up for new digital phone through TW cable 2wks ago. I've answered twice to try and tell them to stop calling and that we are on the national Do Not Call list and all I get a dead air.

After new phone service get 1 to 3 calls a day. Pick up and hear nothing. Called back numerous times, got the recording to leave your number slowly to be removed from calling list. Got another call about 2 hours later. Plan to visit Ohio on my next vacation and they had better hope that I don't run into them.

The first time they called me it was home security offering me a "great deal" on security installation. They called about 3 days after I set up my home phone service. THey've called a few times since then.

This is a new number through Comcast and they call everyday! They call from 8AM to 8PM. Since getting my new number I get phone calls from over 10 different unsolicited companies. I'm changing my number again!

No one on line...no answer - another telemarketer thanks to Time Warner Cable. This is coming to a brand new residential number in use for less than a week.

Thanks to Time Warner Digital Phone, I have been receiving numerous telemarketing calls. Evidently, they don't make your number unlisted right away, even if you request it. This is what "Eric" at TW told me. After reading these other complaints here, I am thinking it is some sort of scam/deal the cable companies have with telemarketing scumbags. Maybe I ought to contact the FTC or even my local news. It is just too coincidental that people here get new numbers from their cable companies and these EXACT same marketers contact them. Something smells REAL funny here. As in rotten!

I have been bombarded with calls from this number for three days. I just got a new number from Time Warner which is SUPPOSED to be unlisted and restricted. I just called them and chewed them out because my number was in fact listed. The guy I talked to said that when they set up a new digital phone number it is always listed unless a SEPERATE order is entered for it to be unlisted/restricted. I said that was absurd. I just wanted to warn people about this.

Getting a call from them at 9:36 every day.
Noticed that there was a call supposedly made to a 360 area code at same time on my Comcast list.
Either a scam, or they are using my phone through the internet somehow. Comcast has no answer.

Certainly seeing a common theme of getting a new phone number and this ohio number calling. Makes me wonder if it has to do with my old company. I just switched from Comcast to Verizon.

I am so sick and tired of these people. I recently got a new residential line. I ususally don't answer my phone; however, when I do I just sit there in silence. Eventually, they hang up. It's ridiculous! Perhaps, I should thank my phone carrier for selling these idiots my phone number.

It's a sales call from a home security company. They hang up the phone when you pick up, because they want you to call them back and listen to their sales pitch.

I asked to speak with her supervisor, and she hung up!! Now, I am on a mission to track them down and speak to a superior!! Any suggestions?!!

I have been tracking this on a new digital comcast line. I have gotten 5 calls from this number at 9:04 am each day since the number has been put in service. I am not there to anser the line...

Seriously pissing me off. We have had our phone service for less than a week and within twenty minutes of it installed this number has been calling multiple times a day. Highly ignorant people. Butchered my boyfriend's name and when asked who was calling a mumbled response and hung up.

Get a worthwhile, wholesome job that might actually do something to better human life instead of leeching your soul for new numbers to pester.

I'm a little freaked out-just got a call from this number. They said they were from adt security and asked if I had a home security system. I was busy packing and distracted, so I just said "we don't need one" and hung up. Crap, really hope they're not casing my house.

I got a call from this number today. Came up as Central Scheduling on my caller ID. Didn't answer the call.

There was a pause when I answered. Then the person asked for me specifically. I told them this was a business line and was this a solicitation call? They said no and that they had the wrong number.

Line was dead when I answered.
