How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

Called twice today looking for my daughter for a "personal matter." There was a constant beep meaning your conversation was being recorded. They do NOT inform you that your conversation was being recorded unless you ask them.
It's Discover. I have a card and was late making a payment.
I only found out after looking here that it was DIscover. They called many times a day for a few days and never left any messages.

They call when late on payment.
4 times in the last two days. Asking for someone I don't know. Since I happen to be a customer of theirs, I spoke to their customer service department and referenced this Ohio number and the number they keep calling (being my cellphone) and they came up with nothing as far as having my cell phone number on their records anywhere. My record has been updated with my current cell phone number (which I don't use as a home number) and any further calls and or solicitations from this Ohio number are to be reported immediately. I figure it's a bill collection department or agency, maybe in a call center somewhere in Ohio. They don't identify themselves right away, they don't respond when you ask them to stop calling, and they don't update their records. Fortunately, the customer service "specialist" said he would investigate and actually call me back with any findings, I actually have someone to talk to in this case. Let's see if they keep their end of the bargain. This one has been a pain.
