Getting repeated calls from this number about my Wells Fargo mortgage -- I rent an apartment.

I bank with Wachovia, which is now owned by Wells Fargo. This is rediculous!!! I don't even have a mortgage and "Jessica" calls at least once a week for the past 2 months. I'm tired of Wachovia/Wells Fargo selling my information!!!

This is from Wells Fargo. I called the 1-800-678-7986 number since I do have a Mortgage with WellS Fargo and was connected to a representative. Just to be sure it was a legitimate number I agreed to give the rep my account number but nothing more until she verified my name and the date of my last payment, which she was able to do. I did mention that my account was current so I didn't understand why I was being contacted and she politely responded that while a customer has until the 16th before any late payment fees are assessed, the payment was "technically" due on the 1st and late as of the 2nd. I can understand that so I guess my options are to either pay on or before the 1st or learn to live with a reminder call on the 2nd. Personally I think this is overkill to contact customers that are clearly paying each month and haven't even come close to the end of the grace period, but if that's how Wells Fargo wants to expend resources so be it.

Spoke to Wells Fargo Corp for over an hr last night. Two CS's and two supervisors later they have reported the number to their bosses as they have fielded many calls about this issue.
Got another call today from this number. and called it back which connects you to wells fargo. It is their collections department and they had my number tied to a muhammed who owes them $$$.

These people call every two days for the past two weeks.....driving me up a wall.
I do not have a mortgage with them and they are calling my cell.
I have one of the saved voicemails that were 8 secs long and it was Jessica and then a guy.

I get a recorded voice message left "this is Jessica from Wells Fargo home mortgage calling in regard to your mortgage, please call us back at 1- 800- 678- 7986 then give business hours monday- saturday... Funny thing is I get calls from this number on Sundays. When I called back the 612 number I got the same recording that is left on my voice mail. So, I decided to pick up the phone and talk to them, Hummm... I got the same recording "this is Jessica with Wells Fargo Home Mortage-blah blah. I am not late on my payments, have only been in my house for small amount of time, I am sure Wells Fargo knows how to reach me.

Wells Fargo and I don't have a loan with them. Don't know how they got my cell phone!!!! I agree with one of the comments which indicate a class action suit.

Also have been receiving calls from this number. It is indeed from Wells Fargo - I gave them my number about two weeks ago to confirm an appointment and that's when I started receiving these calls.

Same story as most everyone on here. Got multiple calls from 612-312-8585. Finally answered and the the bitch on the other end got right to the point. "Tell me your loan number and your FULL Social Security Number". I don't think so. Called local branch and got them to give me the number of the collections department, which they did. My mortgage payment has never been late and is not late now. Got a human on the other end and asked them to verify that someone from their dept had been calling. He was unable to verify that 612-312-8585 was a number that they called from. I then demanded that they quit calling as long as my payment isn't late, which is the 16th. He said they couldn't do that. I then asked to talk to someone who had more than a passing knowledge of, and could at least spell "Privacy Act". I finally got in touch with a person who was not only smart, but interested in helping. Our solution, for now, was to have her remove every telephone number from ALL of my WF accounts. Eventually, someone will realize and we will have to provide them again, but for now, the calls have stopped. It seems like the calls are from Wells, because if they were from a marketing firm, scammer etc, the calls would continue. But since my numbers have been deleted from the Wells system they have stopped calling. I also hope that Wells is getting so many irate people calling, that whatever new policy is causing these bulls&*t calls will be changed. If not I game for a class action lawsuit!!!

I received daily phone calls from this number (and yes, her name was Jessica)saying that I needed to contact them immmediately regarding my mortgage. Not knowing who this "really" was, I would not put in personal information or give it to the person who answered since they could not give me any informtion about my account so I could verify who they were. After 6 weeks of calls, I finally went to a bank branch and asked a Mortgage Consultant for help. She called and could not get answers either. They did tell us that they could not be calling me becasuse they didn't have a phone number lited on my account (I guess the calls were just imagined). Then I received a "nasty-gram" in the mail saying if I didn't call immediately they would start collections. Finally someone with some intelligence answered the phone and said the number (my number) they were calling was actually attached to someones account that was deliquent on their mortgage and that the number would be removed from their account and the calls should stop. I asked for a letter from Wells Fargo stating that there was no issue with my account and the letter was in error. THEY REFUSED! Said it was against their policy to issue such letters. However, the calls have stopped and I have it on record with the local branch. But I'm sure this will come back to haunt me someday on my credit report.

Called asking about my mortgage with Wells Fargo for debt collections on 11/12/09, Mortgage not even late, you have until the 16th before even being charged a late fee? They called worrying that I was going to be late with my payment. I was in the middle of a refinance with them, WTF, they knew it was going to be paid off on the 16th.

I just got a call on my cell from them with a recording stating "her" name was Jessica and I needed to call their 800 # about my mortgage. First off, I don't have a mortgage and wouldn't get one through them. I called their 800# back and they wanted me to enter my social and my loan #. I didn't put either in and got a rep and she said she was transfering me to customer service and all of a sudden, my call was lost.

I got a vm from "jessica" (aka a computer that starts as soon as it picks up) saying that I need to call Wells Fargo Mortgage at 800-678-7986 to talk to them about my mortgage. I don't have a mortgage with them.

This phone # kept calling and asking about a mortgage. Who are these people? I don't have a Wells Fargo mortgage.

Came up Wells Fargo on caller ID. Said we didn't make last house payment, but ours is on autopay. We checked, it was paid. LIARS!!! God will get 'em, but I really hope the FBI does first.

This number IS WELLS FARGO. I called it back & entered nothing but my loan numebr and the last 4 of my social & the recording (which sounded the same as every other wells fargo number I've called) gave me my balance and the date of last payment & connected my to a rep who had my other 2 phone numbers. Now to clarify- this number was shown on my caller id, however, I do not know for sure that it is the actual number the company called from. I had the same experience that other people mentioned of not being able to hear the person & then having them give me a different number to call. I searched my mortgage file & found that number- 800-416-1472 listed on a letter from wells fargo dated 4/17/2009. Although I too was skeptical & had to research- THIS IS WELLS FARGO.

The other day a women called supposedly from Wells-Fargo. I could not understand a word she said. I just received another call and I was told 'automatically' that a call was coming in and it then disconnected. I will not answer any further unidenified callers.

I do have a mortgage with WF, and am trying to do a workout solution with them, so this call may be legit. I call their direct number anyways when I need to talk with them.

Wells Fargo took a "set-off" out of my account for $2K, for some alledged past payment for a credit card from 03. I was never advised that there was a judgement or a court case.The set-off screwed up my mortgage payment to Wells Fargo as well as piling up around $300 in fees. It's about time we as Americans start protesting the way we are treated by corporations - losing our jobs, homes, credit et-al while their executives take huge bonuses and using the American public's BAIL OUT money to buy another failed banking franchise like Wachovia. It's time we all stop being Sheeple and become The People. A Class Action Suite only takes two interested parties. Looks like there are alot of folks on this site that have interest. I'm not an attorney, but being a small business owner I feel like a law office every day. Let's go!

Dont give any info at all to these jack ass's.To double check and make sure that your payment has been made check with your bank that your going through.And not through these people if they are asking for Info then they are scaming you because they should all ready have all of your info and dont need your SSN.Dont pay a Dime.

This IS NOT Wells Fargo. I gave them my bank account info and within 10 minutes $500.00 was taken from my account. The call says "Time is of the essence". Do not fall for this SCAM!

They call all the time. We do not get it! They call on the weekend with an automated message that says to call a specific 800 #, you call right back within a minute of answering the automated call and they are closed for the weekend! But yet they keep calling whether they are open or closed! I agree, with many others, I would like to call and talk to a person before giving any personal info over the phone just to get to an operator only to have them ask me the same info that the automated response systems asks you. And then they want to know what they can do for you today? You called me and asked to call back! With all the info that the computer has asked for and the operator, you would think that your computer would be able to tell you why we are chatting!!

I do not, nor have I ever had or applied for a mortgage or any other type of account with Wells Fargo. So far, I've received 5 calls from them. I personally spoke with them THREE times to tell them that they have a wrong number and that the name they are calling for is not me...but they keep calling back. One time - okay. I can count that as a mistake. The second time, it's annoying. But after three times of TELLING them that they have the wrong name and number and to stop calling my number, it's just plain ridiculous. Time to write a letter to their corporate offices.

Got a call AT WORK asking me to make a pymt over the phone. My mortgage pymt isn't due for 10 days!! She was nasty!

Called... it was Wells Fargo, an automated attendant asked for my loan number or social security number.... would not provide me any info without my personal information. I do not (and have not) had any deliquencies with Wells....

I keep getting these calls and also from a toll free number that says it Wells Fargo and all they want is your SS# and Account number and You can never speak with an individual. It is a scam to get your SS#, Wells Fargo knows nothing about this number.

For the $47 late fee that they charge me for paying my mortgage after the 15th of the month, I'm going to make those A** holes wait until the 30th before they get a dime out of me. Starting on the 16th of every month (when I'm unable to pay before the 15th), they start calling me at least once per day until they receive my payment. I stopped answering their calls about 9 months ago, but they can't seem to get a clue. Whenever I did answer their calls or call them back, they would ask me a bunch of stupid questions and waste at least 15-20 minutes of my time in order for me to tell them that they would receive a payment from me in 1-2 weeks. They would also try to get me to promise them that I would make a payment before the 15th of the next month. I will never do business with Wells Fargo and will refinance with some other company in the near future. DO NOT USE WELLS FARGO FOR ANYTHING!!! THEY WILL HARASS YOU FOR YOUR MONTHLY PAYMENT!!!

little girl voice calling from wells fargo about my account which was not past due threatening "adverse credit consequences" or words to that effect. i didn't have to go with this company. i plan to refinance with some other company if i can find one better (sic). so much for customer service. so hope someone from the company reads this sight.

they left me a voicemail that said "hello? hello?" and then hung up. called the # back and the message said it was Wells Fargo. I do not have an account or mortgage with this bank.

I got a call from this number and they were looking for my wife sister and brother in law 2 states away. Never had dealings with them myself. No idea how they got my number. You'd think they do a little research before bugging the wrong folks. I star 69'd them then checked the number through Google and found this page

This number has been calling a few times a day everyday and leaves a recorded message. No one in my family has any affiliation with Wells Fargo Mortgage so we have no idea as to why they are calling. And they always end up calling during the day when no one is home.

Confrontational operator cliaming to be Wells Fargo, but did not seem up and up, seemed more like attempted con.

Female Voice presented a canned message: "This is Wells Fargo Mortgage, blah, blah ... Our Business Hours are: Blah, Blah .... Please call us at (this number) ... Blah, blah"

This caller leaves the same message sveral times per week -- sometimes 3 or 4 times daily.

These idiots called me, asked for someone else - wells fargo - when I asked what number he was dialing - he said it was an autodialer - I informed him he was calling a DNC list number - when he tried to keep talking I started screaming at him, calling him an ignorant hillbilly c/s and m/f and eventually he hung up

received a call on my mobile phone -- let it go to voice mail. when i checked the message it said to call 800-678-9786.

when i called that number i heard "Welcome to the Scooter Store!....." i hung up at that point.

Called me at work and asked for my property address. Thought it was a business-related call & tried to find out more info to get the caller to the right person, but the caller, though nice, asked if I had a mortgage with WF and insisted on having my property address before giving any info. Probably same situation as everyone else. Assessed a late charge in error two times this year. Payments were never made after the stated late charge date. WF corrected the first, but refuses to correct the 2nd.

They have been calling me non-stop. I do not pick up stange numbers, finally did because I was sick of this number calling. Asked me to provide all my personal data to them. Now I do have a WF mortgage and the idiots stopped my auto payment with no notice, screwed it up again when I called to fix it. Fun fun!

I get this call a lot and the automated message is always almost done by the time I pick up so until coming to this site, I had no idea who it was. My mortgage payment is not over due.

how does wells fargo allow this to happen?

I got a call from the number 612-312-8585 to my cell, asking my name, property address, SSN, bank account number, routing number and etc. The caller(she) claimed that mtg loan payments are delinquent. It's been set up with automatic payment thru my bank! Past due???-WF, something wrong with you! Any payment processing center (MTG)or bank never asks or handle a personal info over the phone. Only scam does so. I called Wells Fargo later and found out that the unidentified caller seems their collection department. They did not say clearly, but they sort of admitted it. So unprofessional!

they VAIOLATED the bank secrecy act as well privacy act. This is subject to CLASS ACTION against WF!!!

I got a call from the number 612-312-8585 asking my name, address, SSN, bank account number, routing number and so on. If it was a bank, they never asked a personal information over the phone. they call every month when we are up to date on all payments they call both mine and my husbands cell only not the home. i get the same automated voice as everyone else. STOP CALLING ME !!!!!!!!!!

I do not have a loan with you and if i get any more calls i will never get one from Wells Fargo and if I crash my car when you call my cell phone i will seek charges from Wells Fargo.

I called them back and they said were trying to "collect a debt". I said "BS, I checked with my bank and my payment has cleared." Come to find out, the MORONS at WF had applied my ENTIRE payment to escrow!!! Might be worth it to call back and see where they actually put your payment! They were days away of putting this on my credit report, which would have turned into a nightmare. I asked why they didn't look on their end first, since they obviously knew some type of money had come in. She said it's computer generated. So, the computer just looks for money in a certain place, and if it's not there, you (customer) are wrong, and they (WF) will come after you. CHECK TO BE SURE YOUR CHECK HAS CLEARED BEFORE CALLING THEM BACK!!

I can verify it is in fact Wells Fargo Home mortgage. If you do not have a mortgage loan with them don't get one and Deffiantly don't call them back. This number is linked to their debt collection department. Wells Fargo needs a Class Action brought against them as my husband and I have to file Bankruptcy to stop the sell of our homne tomorrow. We are not late on our payments and yet they can do this twice to you and all you can do is file bankruptcy. We can and have prooven we are not late both times. Thanks to them trying to take our home twice while I had just found out I have terminal illness, I can't handle being in PUBLIC AT ALL NOW..PANIC DISORDER and POST TRAMATIC STRESS SYNDROM.

They have been calling my cell phone and I do not have a Wells Fargo Mortgage. Not only that, but my cell and home numbers are on the Do not call list. I also got a weird email from Communispace on behalf of Wellsfargo. Called it in to the local branch and have yet to hear anything.

This afternoon I found a message on my answering machine from 612-312-8585 asking that I call Wells Fargo and giving me the WF toll-free number. I called, went through the trouble and hoopla of their automated system, finally got a live operator who requested all my information again, and then asked how she could help me. I said, "You called me." She insisted WF had not called. I played the answering message for her over the phone. She became increasingly snide, rude, and insulting. I couldn't believe a customer service phone clerk was so nasty. Finally I felt my anger building so I asked her name and told her good-bye. I will write a letter of complaint to WF but I don't expect much, if any, response.

We've paid our mortgage after the 1st numerous times and never had a late payment because we understand the 15th is THE deadline. So I was pretty peaved at getting called on the 13th and treated like a deadbeat! Woman thought I'd pay over the phone, and I told her I'd pay it like I had for five years - online. Next time I'm not answering the phone!

Received a call on 6/6 from Wells Fargo Home Mortgage from 612-312-8585 informing us our mortgage is due when it's not due until the 16th. I hate being called for no reason!!!

This call is from Wells Fargo. My payment was made before the end of the month, but not posting until the 4th. I asked if they could put their name on the caller ID or leave a message with their name.. the answer was, we can only leave minimal info. I get calls on both my cell and landline.

Keep getting calls from them on my mobile. I have a mortgage that was sold to them after I bought my house, but my payments are fine, so I don't know what their problem is. I refuse to answer or call back.

The wonderful Wells Fargo - glad I came across this site. I received a call and I do have a loan with Wells Fargo. I called them back and no one could tell me why they called! But then again Wells Fargo is ignorant so it didn't surprise me - it goes along with their shady lending practices.

same story...sound to me like harassment...since we are NOT late with our mortgage..want us to sign up for automatic withdrawal..so they can use my money 2 weeks before its due..scam??

I received a call but heard no one on the other line.

Multipe calls over two months. I do not have account with them. No one with my name in their database. Said they would remove number from list. 2 hrs later got another call & woman said first woman wrong, can't remove without account #.

Voicemail message consisted of over 3 minutes of deep breathing in the background without a single word ever being spoken. I saved the message as proof.

Wells Fargo Home Mortgage looking for a payment, but none were past due.

Got a voice mail at work Caller ID showed Wells Fargo) asking me to "please hold for an important call from my mortgage company." Then there was a voice saying, "hello, hello, hello" rapidly, then they hung up. REALLY important message! Guess I'll ignore it and see if they call back...

They left a message that I should call about my mortgage. They did not mention my name in the message. I do not have a Wells Fargo mortgage. I returned the call and was instructed to enter my account number or my social security number. I kept requesting an operator by pressing 0 or *. I was put on hold for 7 minutes then hung up.

Got a call from this number last night wanting me to give him my checking account number. I refused.

Left automated message on answering machine,from "wells fargo", to call back. I did and was asked to enter my "loan Number". I hung up.

They called and asked me to verify my address. I said, "no, you called me. You tell me why you are calling, then I will verify my address." They refused to indicate why they were calling. Nice business practices.

I made a payment to W.F. and immediatly got a call from this number so I didn't answer.

Call came in to my business number" I never "hold for an important call" even if the automated message says "please".

Two calls within 20 minutes of each other. They called my cell phone!

I called Wells Fargo's toll free number and asked about 612-312-8585 and he confirmed that it IS a Wells Fargo number.

Call from this number showing no name - called back but had to go through a bunch of crap in spanish then english - hung up don't have time for that

11/27/06 @ 8:52pm CST got a phone call showing NAME UNAVAILABLE & this phone number. When it called it said nothing so I called it back. Then we were told we had a late charge of $41.60 to pay which is NOT true since our payment was due ON the 24th and it was paid and received on that day.
