How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

Michael Stein called and identified himself as being with "Safety 21". Refused to admit it was a sales call and was quite rude. Spoke to my engineering manager who asked that I inform Mr. Stein not call again, but Mr. Stein said "I'll call back and speak to (manager's name)" and then hung up on me. Second call- same rude demeanor! I'm sending an FYI to all our employees- do not patch through calls from this company and CERTAINLY will not be doing business with a company whose salespeople are rude and deceitful.
Said company name was "Safety 21". Wanted to speak to someone about OSHA Safety/Compiance. I checked Safety 21 online and found it is a publication. Yearly subscription for only $249! They wanted a contact name but I didn't give them one.
Called my work again today. A very stern male said he needed to speak to the person that handled our OSHA compliance. I asked him what it was in reference to, so I could try to find the proper person for him. He said "OSHA compliuance and health."
I said" Oh, are you actually calling form OSHA?"
He said "Umm...yes"
I said "Okay, thank you. Let me get your name and number and have our Facilities Manager confirm it and then give you a call back."
He said" No, I need to talk to a live person"
I said" Thats fine, he will call you live."
Then I said " You aren't really with OSHA, are you?"
There was a pause.
I said "You're a salesman, aren't you."
There was a pause.
I said "Why don't you tell me the truth about what company you are with?"
Then he hung up.
I googled the number. It is Business21. b21pubs.com

So they lie when they call, they make you think they are actually with OSHA. Nice way to do business, isn't it.

Called my phone at work. Acted like they were the OSHA police. I sent them to a voicemail. they wouldn't leave message. wanted names. nope...sorry...not gonna happen.
Recieved call, asked who handled safety and osha compliance. Said they had to contact that person directly and would not leave number
Tried to sell me stuff I don't need.
