I use to work for them,and research does not count on the do not call list. How do you think we get CNN polls,newsweek gallop just tp name a few(not saying that we worked for any of them) just giving examples.Not my real name !!!!!! I loved working there just did not leave on great terms

What Braun and its employees who posted here don't know (or care about) is Braun's pitch of upholding the "highest ethical staandard" of market research is absolute BS. They do not have any quality control and that's why you see hundreds of complaints (search the name to see all the other numbers they use). Legitimate researchers do not call again and again, night after night, after being asked not to call again. Legitimate researches do not use systems that arbitrarily hang up when the call is answered. Conplaints to the Company HQ and govt. go unheaded. So, bring the complaints to those who hire them. Bank of Amererica is know to use them, and now so are political parties. Let your candidates and party know that if they use Braun, they just might lose your vote. There are plenty of polling - survey firms out there to use, and I have never been annoyed with any of them like I have with Braun!

Been calling a lot lately. They always hang up so I answered and told them not to call again. They called again today.

Calls come several times a day at all hours, sometimes back to back. Most often no one responds the few times I tried to answer (I wanted to tell them to stop calling). Numerous calls over past week. Nothing on caller ID but the phone number.

I too am trying to earn a living which is hard to do when they keep calling my business line. The majority of my work is done on a phone but I dont call people and hang up repeatedly. There was a post from Janet in 3/2007 who gave the above link, I tried it and got an actual person who said she would take me off the list. I also emailed doshman@braunresearch.com and let him know this was harrassing and this is being reported to the FTC. Also file a complaint with the BBB 888-527-7779. The more complaints we make to quicker we can get these people to stop this harrassment. I had some guy call me yesterday who was heavy breathing then yelled something in "redneck" which I am not fluent in so I have no idea what he said. I would love to know how much "business" they really do and what the business really is. Please report these people!!!!

It rang three times and I picked up and there was no one there. Caller ID says, Unknown Name. I signed up for the DO NOT CALL and I am getting calls from cellphones from unknown annomous callers, no doubt solicitors, out the gazoo. Isn't there anyway to STOP this harrassment? grrrrrrrrr

Thanks to the tip from this website I filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission against Braun. I spoke with a very nice rep at the BBB in Jersey who directed me to the FTC. Check out the response I got from the moron at Braun
am sorry you feel the need to make accusations of someone you do not know. I understand your frustration when you receive a call that you are not wanting to take. Generally when I am informed to stop calling a particular number I research the phone number that is supplied to us since many numbers are just that numbers no personal information attached and research the history of the calling then and if it has not already been done disposition the number as a strong refusal/no callback.

I am quite familiar with generally the list you supplied. I was surprised that someone thought that I was a sexual deviate when they googled my name and came up with a website of another individual who lives in a neighboring state. Actually a couple of people who noticed the entry commented on my behalf. Many of those respondents had legitimate concerns and they were addressed if they called and reached me. Others left threatening messages and death threats and unfortunately I need to get by that and do my job. There are ways to address issues and then there are times when people take matters over the line. Yes I do receive letters from the BBB and Attorney General's Offices and they are addressed accordingly and we move on. The job comes with pros and cons and yes answering upset individual's emails and phone calls is part of that.

Caller ID showed Princeton, NJ 609-279-2122. Called on my ringmaster number, which is not listed. First call was on 8/10/07 at 10:30 p.m. Isn't that illegal to call someone that late at night??? I didn't answer and have no answering machine. And they've been calling at least once a day every day since.
You know, granted people are rude to telemarketers, but maybe they themselves should try to be less rude by not harassing people who flat out tell them they're not interested or don't answer their phones. They need to realize that they are intruding on the privacy of others. Instead of repeatedly calling them back and making matters worse, the telemarketers should stop calling that number. I mean, do they really think that people are going to cooperate with them after the tenth call any more than they would have on the first call???
Things aren't looking good for the future of the Braun Research, Inc, business.
Hope some of these complaints to the authorities finally work.

They called and left a voice message on my cell phone identifying themselves as Braun Research, and said they wanted to pay me for participating in a survey. I called back their company number--609-279-1600--and asked them to please take me off their call list. The gentleman I spoke to was very polite, even though I wasn't, and agreed to take it off. We'll see.

They are Braun Research, 221 Wall St., Princeton, NJ 08540. Mgr. is Dennis Oshman, phone (609)279-1600. Email: doshman@braunresearch.com. Complain to him & FTC. I'm on do not call & they violated Federal law. If they ever call me again I'll own them. CALL THE FTC!!! That's what I'm doing!

I don't think the link with the person you posted is correct. If you look at the location of the company, it is in Princeton, NJ and not in New York. 6:30pm Portland Maine - phone rang on my cell, which is a number I never give out. Caller ID said:

I called back the 609 number and got the rote message that these calls are for your own good to improve "American commerce," and then called the Braun Research main number (609) 279-1600 and then ext 103 for David C. I left a stern email, saying I would turn them into the FCC and/or contact my congressman and Senators and those in New Jersey (where they're based_ if they do not desist. You guys need to get a life. You all have something better to do beside piss and moan about a research company. I would know since I have and still currently working for one for four years now. You guys just yelling at as or hanging up without talking to us, we have to call you back. If not interested in doing the survey just tell us nicely or let us know that you are not interested in doing the survey. The results of our polls affect the services and prices of everything people use out there. Nobody answers them than the costs of things are going to go up and services will not improve. What is so hard to take a few minutes out of your day to answer a few questions and have the oppurtunity to voice your opinion? What is so hard about doing that. Also people do have testing and training to do the job for a research company. called one of the non main lines at my place of work. i picked up on the first ring, but no one said anything.

They keep calling everyday. When I requested to speak to a manager ... wow ... hung up. The second time I answered, I told them I was not interested. Well, they called again. The next call I'll be making is to the company and to the FTC.

Did not answer; no msg left.

I hit save number on my phonebook and edit the name to x or xx ect. So when they call at home and I see xyx ect I hit hang up. It makes me feels better.

Just got a call from this number. I could hear a lot of people talking in the background. It was very weird, almost like an obscene call. The person was breathing heavy and after about 30 seconds, he moaned loudly and hung up. Yuk! Makes me wonder what sort of research HE was doing!

Woman called at 7 PM CST. Said my family had been chosen for a survey. Immediately asked if I was 18 or over. Did not ask if I wanted to take the survey. I said "I'll pass," started to hang up. She kept talking, asking if anyone else in the house could take the survey. I could hear phones ringing in the background like a phone bank. Google lists the number as a person's name, apparently residential, not a company. I'm not posting it here in case the person is innocent and his phone has been hijacked.

Called...Squealing noise on other, hung up and still no dial tone (over an hour later). Called phone repair company. What a pain. Caller id had this number with no name.

I checked the school voicemail and there was none. I googled the number after I couldn't find it on facebook and it came up with this site and the phonebook listing of

Got a couple calls from this number on my cell. Now I've just added the number to my cell's phonebook and set the custom ring tone for it to "silent." Also, my landline (VoIP) lets me block individual numbers via a web interface.

Folks..I'm told the "dead lines" are due to the way their mass calling equipment works. They load in 10 numbers at one time...the first guy that answers gets a human, the other nine get a "dead line" VERY ANNOYING!!!!!!!

Braun Research Inc - Attempted to get me to take an Election Poll Survey

Never answered the phone but this number has called several times in the past few days, even late at night on the weekend.
Caller ID says BRAUN RSRCH INC (website braunresearch.com) but googling the number brings up Ian Rozdilsky of Faculty Rd,Princeton, NJ 08540.

Someone called and then said "wrong number". *69 gave this number. They then called back 3 times and hung up each time. *69 gave the same number.

Daily and nightly calls for more than a week now. No one there if we answer. Called the company direct today, spoke with a receptionist who sounded like she's received a few complaints already, and was told we would be removed from their calling list. I'll keep my fingers crossed!

Just sent the following email to "doshman@braunresearch.com":

For several months now, your company has been calling my home number, xxx-xxx-xxxx, for unknown reasons. Each time the call comes in, when we answer, the caller disconnects. These calls are ANNOYING and HARASSING and MUST STOP NOW!

I just tried to call your number, and only got a recording that says you are a research company. You do not allow callers to even leave messages requesting removal from your call lists! How rude -- you can contact and harass me, but you provide no means to contact you by phone!

You _may_ be a valid research outfit, and you _may_ be exempt from the Do Not Call registry requirements. However, you are NOT exempt from statutes which prohibit annoying phone calls, including the Telephone Consumer Protection Act of 1991. Your company has already established a clear pattern of abuse in repeated hang-up calls to me, and further calls from you will be logged and reported to the authorities for possible prosecution of telephone harrassment.

DO NOT CALL my phone number again -- EVER! Failure to comply with this demand will result in complaints being filed with the phone company, as well as appropriate Federal and State agencies.

Just went to donotcall.gov to file a complaint. Apparently, "research" outfits are exempt from the Do Not Call requirements!

I filed a complaint anyway :)

Next, I'm calling these a$$holes directly to conduct my own survey about survey companies calling and pissing off private citizens!

We get calls from this number at least once per week. When we pick up, the call just disconnects. We are on the Do Not Call registry, so these turkeys are violating the law.

I received a call THESE MORONS! Soliciters and surveyors are Worthless MORONS. They are SCUMSUCKERS. Sooner or later, they might get the message...DON'T CALL ME!!!

I received a call from this number today but when I answered, they did not speak. I left the phone off the hook for hours! Soliciters and surveyors are my pet peeve. I hate them. They disturb my privacy, my sleep, my work, and I will not talk to them. I rarely even pick up the phone to a number I don't recognize. If I do, I am very rude and not the least bit sorry. Sooner or later, they might get the message...DON'T CALL ME!!!

I got a call from this number tonight. Same thing, no message. The caller ID said "unknown name". I called them back and got a recording telling me that it was a survey group - but never the name of the organization or company.
I was contacted earlier today by the Associated Press. Might this be connected some way? I'm not on any do not call lists.

Like I was saying about 954-609-8349, these individuals are what you would CALL REAL STUPID MORONS!

If your not going to answer the phone for the first MORON do they really believe caling from a different number would get you to change your mind about answering the second time..

Thanks to this list, I have added them to my blacklist. So now they will only get voicemail (no phones will ring ;-).

This is what you people don't get, Research does not apply to the do not call list because government realizes the importance of research. I realize if you are mad because the person hung up on you but most of us working as interviewers or telemarketers are normal people just like you, and some like me are just trying to get through college.

Called around 7:29pm. I did not answer after seeing Braun Research on caller id.

Answered it this time and talked to someone. Told them to stop calling my cell because its a business line and got hung up on. Maybe all of us should start calling this number 9 or 10 times a day and try to sell them something or get their opinion. stupid research.

Received a call 8:42PM 9/30/06 and I hung up as caller ID merely indicated 6092792122

got a call from 609-279-2122 UNKNOWN at 8:39pm on 9-13 it was a missed call and no message left. Thanks for the heads up on the a$$ calling from this number.

I just called the company number 609-279-1600 and dialed ext. 0. I gave the operator my number and told her to take it off the call list. And to never use it again. :)

This number has just started showing up on my caller I.D.from a private resident. I know now NOT to answer the phone. Annoying & I am on the do not call registry too.

they have called me multiple times most of the time no one is on the line this is my home phone and business phone the only time i have talked with someone i told them i didnt want to talk to them and they kept talking and talking everytime i told them i didnt want to talk they pressured me to listen to what they said i ended up hanging up on them.

1st call (on a Sunday)was poll regarding grocery coupons. Asked to be taken off list. 2nd (on Friday) was answered but no response from caller.

Asked company to take me off their calling list. Instead of doing that, he wanted to argue with me on what his purpose was for calling, and I informed him I only want to receive calls from those I give my number to, and his company was not one of them. I then hung up.
