Call came at 5:30PM on a Saturday to my direct line. Called earlier in the day also but hung up when I answered. Vanessa asked about our address, what floor we were on, our suite number. Then she asked if we shared the floor with anyone else and corrected me when I said we didn't. I told her to call the office manager on Monday.

THis is Dell, they get your number when you call them regarding orders or such and then they harrasse you. THey call over and over pretending to be other people, asking for personal information, saying inappropriate stuff on the phone. Don't ever give out your number, this can happen.

Sounds like overseas's call center person calling from Hard Tanks??? Can't really tell from accent. Has called business where I work 4 or 5 times this week. Starts asking to verify things like company name, address, phone, etc, also list of current VP's of Marketing, Operations, HR, etc. This "Hard Tanks" company calls every year at this time to "update records". Finally fed up with them, I came to this website to research what others had to say. Lots of useful info here, including crossreferencing "Lawfirm's" comments below about "Harte-Hanks", which turns out to be a global marketing firm. Called them, spoke with nice person about removing our company from their call list. (Don't know if it works, but takes up to 72 hrs.) Also read "Andy's" comment about company Primus, who sells ID masking phone numbers. Makes sense since the number on our caller ID is same but results in many different stories here.

DELL COMPUTERS - I got a call from this number when i was disconnected from a DELL Computer Sales Specialist. I was just her wanting to follow up and continue designing my system.

It was a call from the same dude with the thick, thick Indian accent saying he was from Bell Mobility and that I was chosen for a promotion of a new cellphone under a new plan. It really struck me wrong since I just got a new phone through Bell and he didn't know any of my details and was trying to get information from me. Very suspicious and the call cut out before I could even hang up on him.

Calls from 604-550-7000 are from any private/unlisted subscriber at Primus TalkBroadband VoIP in Canada.

OK, found this site by accident since I've received tons of calls from Hardtanks (or some spelling) claiming they're just verifying info from last year or previously provided. Googled and seems related to what others have gotten here but not sure if the calls came from the number of this thread. Was nice to them when first received these calls 2yrs ago but now I was told to say we're not allowed to provide titles and finally I've had it today. Jack asked if he could put the same info from last year. I said ok but I'm not coroborating anything lol -that nipped it ! I think I may hang up next time.

03/13/2008 This 604-550-7000 number keeps calling my company non stop, so any info leading to the company or person would be GREAT! I would LOVE to start a law suit!!! These bones heads call about 8 times per day/night all hours and I want them, and want them BAD!
any info that can be posted would be great! And if your the person calling and reading this, I hope you have a HUGE BUDGET! Your gonna need it when I'm done SEWING YOUR ASS!

We have the VOIP and I guess this number is a "router" number. My call was from Premium Recovery. The person's name is Daniel Edwards. This call was coming from Switzerland. They work and try to collect on behalf of a fraudulent company called Construct Data aka "Fair Guide" from Austria. Daniel Edward's phoned me back after I hung up on him and proceeded to leave me a message (directed at myself but trying to collect from the company I work for) that was quote "this is for the rude Bi*%ch who just hung up on me - go F*%k yourself!" and hung up.

GOT A CALL FROM THEM TODAY. I ASKED WHO THEY WERE AND WHAT COMPANY THEY WERE CALLING FROM. WOMAN STATED KATIE GARCIA FROM HARTE HANKS. THEY CALL AT LEAST TWICE A DAY.

I am living in tokyo and this number just popped up on my phone this morning, tried to call back but no dice.

This person has called me in Denmark Nov.7th 2007 but I did not answer the phone.

Someone claiming to be from Dell told me that because I bought a computer 6 months ago (I didn't) that I was eligible for a free trial of Rogers DSL service (not available in my area). I think he wanted some info but I hung up on him. I started getting repeat calls from the same number. Telus call block has filtered it out.

Received a call from a woman who spoke with an Indian accent, asking for all these details about our office (address, what floor we're on, how many suites, etc.). I hung up on her. Caller ID said British Columbia.

These people keep calling saying they are from Harte Hanks, I have asked NUMEROUS times to be removed from their calling list. They keep calling I finally asked for a phone number I could call back and speak to someone, he gave me a bogus phone number 1-800-854-8049. I am sick of speaking to these people and I want to report them. I have put the number on the do not call list and reported them that way. Now they are not UNKNOWN, take action somebody, I cant understand them and both numbers were crap. I tried the 604 number and the 1800 number saying that it was not working. I think it is BS!

This number is simply a number from British Columbia through which some international numbers are rerouted to Canadian numbers and elsewhere.. it is not necessarily a telemarketer, as my friend from egypt just called and that was the number it showed on caller ID, though it could very well be a telemarketer from another country.

These people royally suck. No matter how many times we screw with them (using soundboards and such) they continue to call. Oh well, at least we get a joke out of it when we use the soundboards.

This number is just a routing number when someone makes a VoIP call with certain providers. The caller can be anyone using this service. It can also be your friend in a foreign country who has purchased an IP card to make cheaper calls.

This is a Telus sales person trying to sell their new high speed internet service.

This is a gateway which lands IP phones to local switch phones.
I had got many calls from telemarketing out side BC, however yesterday I got a long distant call thru this number from my friend who uses indirect dial long distant service, or long distance calling card.

This is a SCAM number...they end up charging high fees when you return the call. Once they confirm it is a working number they then pass your cell phone number to other scammers!

I got a call from them today, it was some guy with a high voice claiming to be from my bank. He just started asking for my credit information, needless to say I hung up on him and dont plan to answer that call again.

If it's Hart Hankes you can call and ask to be on their do not call list: 1-800-456-9748. That's what I did. We'll see if it works.

How did they get my number? I didn't get to my phone in time and they didn't leave a message. I have tried to call back and the number is apparently invalid, then told that "all lines are busy, try again later" . . . oh yeah I'll be sure to do that!

I had won a travel from Astar Holidays. A "manager" from Astar wanted information about my credit card for reservation what I wouldn't give him.

Call came on my private office line and then a minute later on my cell phone they asked for me by name. Said his name was Eric and he was doing "research on other people in the building" Said he worked for "Amercrombie" (sp) Eric had a heavy accent maybe East Indian. Who are these folks and why do they have personal information about me?

They keep calling and claiming they are verifying information and do that yearly. I asked why do you call daily then and requested to be scrubbed off their list and they hung up.

I'm in the USA. This guy called me 5 minutes ago! He said he was Sonny and wanted to talk about the hish cost of energy. I told him cell phone solisitations were illegal and hung up. He called back and I did not answer since I was googling his number.

Had several phone calls, returned the call and it instantly disconnects. Other web pages reveal a scam.

Ok, this is simply a "router" number....which means it might show up when your friend calls from England, when someone calls you for telemarketing, when someone is using a payphone, a calling card or anything else. It is just a glitch in the worldwide system of caller-id. sometimes you get it, sometimes you don't.

Kate Williamsley on behalf of Harte-Hanks calling, she spoke to several people and keep asking questions non stop. She keeps calling back and when you ask here where she is calling from, she demands to talk to your HR department, probably to ask more questions, before hanging up and saying she will call back.

I asked where is she located and she said Harte-Hanks in San Diego. When I checked it out, there is no such thing.

It is more than like a number router used by DELL support. Thy first called my cell # which is how I got the called ID number and when I didn't answer my tech support rep from DELL called my non caller ID Home line.
What;s really infuriating is Embarq/sprint's customer support gives no advise about these kinds of calls---we know who makes money on them.

Ignore them, they are scammers, they don't even want to give you info about them and they don't know how to pronouce names or who they are calling.

They called like 20 times trying to get information and keep calling using the information. If you tell them you are Mickey Mouse they will call back for Mickey Mouse.

They tried to tell me they were from Telus (our local phone company), however I'm an employee of the company and just wasted as much time of theirs as I could.

I couldn't understand much of what was said due to an accent and strange speech pattern. Something about me being there and my wife approved of some "bundle".

The number belongs to Dell Computers...the call comes in from India, that's why you can't get through when you try and call back. It's definitely from Dell because they called me back regarding an order I had placed and I was speaking with them, this number was on the caller ID. He said he's located in INDIA!

This # as the last one which had called during the day. No msg left. My guess is that it is someone telemarketing or data mining and they are using some sort of Internet/Voice-over-IP(VoIP) based telephone system.

No big deal. I don't know anyone in Vancouver that would be calling me.

It is TELUS a phone company operating in BC, Canada.
I encourage you to cancell any services with Telus and your problems should be resolved. If you do not use TELUS I encourge you to contact your carrier and inform them of that you do not appreciate them doing business with Telus.

This number has called approximatly 10 times in the past several days, at night and in the morning. No one speaks, but I have heard music in the background. They leave no message, just hang up when the answering machine comes on.

My ex fiance had an internet phone, when he used to phone me from the UK that number (6045507000) used to come up on my phone but it was always him on the other end. the number popped up on my phone last night for the first time in 3 months and again today... its him but weird that this is the number that comes up when he calls!

Don't have a fax machine. Someone from this # tried to send a fax thru at 6:03 am! Have traced & blocked this number - Fed up with these scammers & "unsolicitors"!

This is most likely an offshore contractor for Dell. My call for tech support was handled very well UNTIL the tech rep switched modes to attempt to sell me things.

Lady called with Indian accent asking about our computers, saying that she was calling on behalf of an insurance company in San Diego wanting to update what we had in the office.

Lady yelled at me when I wouldn't give her the information. She then yelled and asked for the manager...I am the manager and subsequently hung up on her. Very rude...very persistent, seems to try to intimidate until she gets to someone who will talk to her.

If you live in canada this is not a telus number. This is a scammers router number. Do not give any information out to them. Ask for the manager if they call. If they can't give you the manager, hang up.

This is Hart Hanks they're mining for information and you can bet they're gonna sell it once they get it; you can Google them and find out about them. Now I just tell them that any information they want falls under our nondisclosure policy. They have info from our company in the past but we refuse to confirm their info. They are probably an Indian call center employed by HH because it's cheaper to outsource to India. They are pushy and don't know the meaning of the word "no" It's funny because the last time I talked to one of them she said her company won't allow them to answer the same questions they're asking me under their non disclosure policy.

Called 10:37am Pacific Standard Time. No msg left and "call could not be completed as dialed" when calling the number back.

It's nothing like her number so I assume that it is a long distance carrier that was en route somewhere.
