How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

This number keeps calling me at 7:30 pm. Pretty much every evening for the past two weeks.

I have gotten numerous calls from this number on my cell phone.. probably over 20.. I havent had the pleasure of answering one since I am treating patients during the day.. please stop calling!!!

I have answered this number before and they said they were with Vonage even though I told the lady I don't own a house phone and that she had called my cell phone (maybe a bad idea now that I read the list) She kept talking like they were tracking me! o_O MOST DEFIINATELY A SCAM

Found this on the caller ID, 2:23PM today, no message. I Didn't even try to call them back. I always try to look up strange #'s on switchboard or here first. I enter sweepstakes online sometimes and wonder if this may be related?

caller id says Ohio call. I didn't answer didn't know who it was.
I recieved a call from this number stating that I recieved a free shopping spree. When I inquired about how they got my number, the person on the other line said it was a special "research department" and would not let me talk to that department or to his supervisor and when I insisted he stated that he would not call me again and then hung up on me.
I am with Jerry on this one...I tried to call back the number and it is not in service.
Received numerous calls today from this number on my cell phone.
I don't know who this is. I am sure it is not someone about bills, because bill collectors usually call from toll free numbers. I don't want to answer it though. Suspicious. Reading the comments makes me want to answer it even less.

The call from this number came into my cell phone. They have called before, I do not answer-I don't recognize the number and don't want to pay for the incoming call.
I got a call from this # (12-04-2006). I usually don`t answer numbers that I don`t know :)
I received a call from this number and did not answer. Instead, I went to yahoo and found this site. The second time the call came in, I answered on speakerphone and recorded the phone call, I played along until I told the guy I was recording, and he hung up. I immediately activated CALL TRACE. If the trace is successful, the police are notified immediately.
I plan to repeat this action as many times as necessary, and to report this to my local newspaper so others in my area know ahead of time that this is a scam. Word of mouth is the only weapon we have against scam artists like this, as they prey upon the ignorant and defenseless.
I also recieved a call from this number. I Googled it and it came up as a listing in China. Unable to read Chinese.

This number came up on my Cingular cell phone.
This number called me at 6:27 PM
Got a call at 6:30 from an indian guy in "new jersey", wanted me to take a questionnaire and i would receive some "free information". I told him i was not interested, not to call back, and he hung up.
I had a missed call on 12/1/06 at 8:44pm from this number. They did not leave a voicemail.
They called my cell phone this morning at 9:38AM
Just anwser & SAY YOU DECLINE the CONS & scammers.

This number calls me several times a day and I do not answer. I called it back tonight to see who it was and the out of service message came up like some other people said.
I received calls at varies times;no messages or names;sometimes I hear music in the back ground;they use up time on my cell phone with no messages being left.When I call the number it is not working.

They've called several times. I answered this morning when they called and told the Indian gentlemen to please take me off his list. They called again just minutes ago. I asked who he was and he kept telling me to put my father on the phone. When I asked his name, he told me James Bond. Whoever/whatever this scam is, they've been calling me multiple times during the week and I'm quite tired of it.

This is a major scam. The number is obviously made up: not really Ohio-- the people on the phone sounded Indian. They claimed I would get a $1000 shopping spree if I gave them my checking accnt # to cover shipping and handling.
