I don't know the company but these guys make a good living doing auto warranty. Let them make their living and pay their employees. All of the numbers u posted are bogus numbers. U will never be able to track them. I don't know the company but I used to own 6 DISH Network offices and did the same type of Press 1 marketing campaign. U will never be able to shut them down so live ur lives and let these guys go.

I tried the info posted from Binarian. Number and web site are gone. I'm in Canada (Toronto area). They are calling up here under the name of Triple A Warranty. Which comes up as 800-966-2601 local number reveals it as 954-345-9255. Which is out of Pompano Beach, 33065 but no street address. I called them back and I get a lady who no matter what I ask or say always puts me into the same "Warranty info" mailbox. Of course nobody calls back. I tried calling the 800 number that the sales person left, but it's an outgoing line only, as the msg. always states "call volume is high" except when they're closed. Then it gives their business hours. Unfortunately, as my warranty did run out. They caught me. I filed a complaint with Visa. But it's unlikely they'll be able to do much either.

Call centers suck. I worked at one. Have never met an owner of one who has any values. They just want to make money and rip people off no matter what. Never trust a call center owner, and never bend over around one or you will be walking funny after.

It seems that Digitcom Services, Inc. (the phone company that controls 562-289-) is a favorite haven of these scammers. Anything from Digitcom gets routed to my anti-robocall test.

4 HOURS LATER I started getting calls from this number "Great Atlantic Warranty" giving me the usual sales pitch of their SUPER WARRANTY that apparently covers any car, at any shop or dealer, for 100,000miles (i found out by calling back over and over and using different cars to sound interested. including a 67 Pinto, hehe.)

I will file complaints with the BBB and FCC but my main concern is with my dealership. Is someone dirty and selling customer information to these 3rd party scammers? What can I do with my dealership? It was literally 4 HOURS after i first ever revealed this number to anyone that I received the calls.

So after all these posts I can pretty much summarize that this company is some scumbag run scam. Thats clear to see.. BUT I DO HAVE MORE INTERESTING INFO on this.
I purchased a car from Toyota in 2006 and the car is about 10,000miles from its warranty running out. I researched and found out that car registration information is public domain and can be sucked up by these scams to build calling lists. I fully understand that... HERE IS WHERE IT GETS INTERESTING.

I JUST now got a new business cellphone number on 3/3/2008. This number was 1 day old and I havnt even had a chance to register at ANYTHING on the web or mail, or with anyone. The SINGLE time I ever gave this phone number away was when I had to email Toyota's service department to approve a warranty repair before they could start ripping my motor apart. In this SINGLE email I said "let me know any updates with the repair at this number XXX-XXXX"

That was the ONLY TIME i've ever said or typed this phone number....

I reported this number for violations to the "no call list". They have stopped calling my number. I recommend reporting them if you are registered.

Several prerecorded message calls on my cell phone re: Auto Warranty extension. Twice a day this number calls. Sometimes it is about auto warranty expiring and sometimes it is about better mortgage payments. Rather interesting scam due to the fact that I do not own a home and my number is supposed to be a private one.

weird. keep getting these calls. im in MD where many calls are located, but have an out of state number where no other calls are shown on the map above.......... anyone else get this? they've been calling me since the 11th of january and the calls haven't stopped yet even after repeatedly talking to them i just get hung up on when i ask them anything. one lady said she was with great atlantic motor company and i told her i didn 't have a car with a warranty she immediately hung up. next guy i spoke with asked me the make and model and i said "you tell me, you CALLED me." he said he'd put me on the do not call list and hung up right away before i could get out "i already am!!"

The Seattle Times did a story on these scammers. The professional advice: just hang up immediately. They're a fly-by-night group that's constantly moving. Don't try to opt out, don't press any buttons to indicate you're "live". Just hang up. Report the call to your local BBB or the FCC.

Unsolicited Extended Warranty Coverage

I have just received a new cell phone less than 2 months ago. I started getting calls about a month later. I missed a few of them and no voicemail was left. I finally answered and a recorded message mentioned it was about a car warranty and asking me to press 1 to speak to someone or 2 to be taken off the list. I pressed 1 and the man asked me for the make, model and year of my car. I immediately thought something was wrong because if they are calling me then they should know. I asked who he was and we were cut off. As it was a cell phone I knew it could have been a bad connection. I tried calling the number back but could not get through. I got another call today and again and I said "I don't know who you are and why I am getting these calls". He said "thank you" and then hung up. I called the number back from my cell phone and got a recording stating I have been removed from their preferred customer list. I looked up car warranty telepone scams and found this site. As I have only had my cell phone for approx. 2 months, very few people have it. We did buy a new car and when looking, gave that number to a few dealers.

I have received multiple calls from this place warning me about my expiring auto warrenty. This is the first time I've been around to answer my cell phone-all the others went to voice mail. I pushed option 1 to speak to someone and the man answered "parts dept." and hung up on me when I told him that this was about the fith call I've received from them. The last time I got one of these calls I called the number back and received a message saying I had been removed from their list. This time when I called the number back I got a message saying something about long distance service.

I've gotten 4 calls total from these guys on my non-published, company provided cell phone. I'd already reported the previous 3 to the FCC via the URL provided on this board (thank you for the link!). On the 2nd call, I punched #2 to be removed from their list; it obviously did no good. 4th call from these guys came in today, so I chose to actually speak to them. The guy answers, asks for my vehicle info. I asked HIM for his company name. He rattles off "G (something) Warranty". I started to tell him they've called 4 times and was going to ask to be put on their DO NOT CALL list. I no sooner got '4 times' out of my mouth and he hung up on me. I went ahead and registered this cell on the National DNC list, we'll see how that goes.

Recorded message, claimed that my auto warranty needs to be extended. Not at all professional. I have received multiple calls from this number, and each time the recording claimed that it was my "second" warning or notice. I was given a choice to press 1 for a representative or press 2 for ... more information, I think? After waiting a few seconds, the recording simply hung up.

I have also received more than one call from (562) 289-8136, at home and on my cell phone. Most of the time I ignore them (car warranty), but it really is a pain!

I have been recieving multiple phone calls from 562-289-8136 for weeks. They keep calling with a recorded voice message trying to tell me I have an expired car warrenty. My car hasn't had a warrenty in years because it's so old! They will call at all hours and even as early as 6:00 and as late as 11:00.

Also, 562-289-8136 is a spoofed number--when you call it back you get a domestic line with people who have no idea why their number is ending up on "people's cell phones from all over the place."

Rcvd 2 calls from these on my private cell phone. Vehicle warranty crap to only be hung up on when I questioned them with "What company are you with?". I filed a complaint with the FCC and hope these jerks get fined. I agree with Mark. Do something. I am sick of it and I am getting it done. I politely asked if he could first give me the name of the company he was calling from; his answer was, "Great American Warranty Company". I then asked if he could give me an address, and he said no, but that they were in Boca Raton, Florida.

The toll-free number for this company is 1-888-898-8778. Maybe they should get at least one call to that number for every call they send out. They pay for each incoming toll-free call. It would be the least I could do, to call them 3 times so their toll-free bill is charged three times for waking me from sleep three times. I agree, it would be tragic to call those who did not deserve our ire, but I assure you the information is good, and not just a rudimentary 'whois' check or anything simple as that, that is only where i pulled the final info :).

The system is one that uses the new power of ip telephony that allows you to choose any area code for your calls, no matter where they are based. Their likely theory is that they will change numbers every now and again in order to 'trick' callers into answering when they wouldn't answer before. The only thing I will say is that the heat is on them, but in order to document wrongdoing, you must let the wrongdoer's wrongdue for a while :)

Same as Frans. Caller ID said California - 562-289-8136. They called my cell phone and and automated voice message said my auto warranty was expiring soon, second notice. I hit 1 to get a person on the line and then they asked me what my car's make, model & year was. (my van is 10 years old). I told them they "you called me, so you should know my make, model & year. The woman immediately hung up the phone on me. I called the # back & got a recorded message "this line is not available at this time. press 1 for administrator rights." I tried that & it asked for a password. I will continue investigating

I received multiple calls. From 562-289-8136 and also: 614-453-6303, 281-520-3761 and 707 474-9898. These called started recntly - in the last few weeks. One had a voice announcemnet that said something about the warranty on my car. One was in spanish - I couldn't understand it. I hung up when I heard the announcements, or just ignored the ring when I saw the phone number. I'm sure they are just scammers.

Has anyone looked into Binarian's suggestion of who they are and their contact info? Did anyone call to see if it's them? I would just hate to call and harrass some poor guy if it isn't really them.... I have gotten 3 calls so far from the same #'s: 562-289-8136, 630-689-2846, 281-520-3761. Here is what Binarian wrote:

They have called multiple times to my cell phone over the past 1 week, when I finally had time to hold the line on my cell phone for which I pay the minutes and it is illegal acccording to the FCC to call me, I spoke with someone named Carlo who refused to divulge the company, he said he was authorized to call me and started yelling and swearing at me, to which I swore back at him, told him to put me on the do not call list, to which he said he would put me on the lists to be called all the time, then called me back on a non caller id restricted number and threatened me. I have filed 2 complaints with the FCC as to my reading it is a 10,000 dollar violation to telemarket to cell phones without authorization.

this is a phone scam. they called claiming that we need to renew our vehicle warranty but we have no vehicle warranty, so naturally we called back and told them we did not have a warranty, she im hung up with no explaination. note: it was the same person answering the phone that was on the recording saying that "all of our representitives are busy" it didnt even sound legit, so be smart and dont fall for it!

This number calls me multiple times a day and only started a couple of days ago, I thought it was funny at first but after the first 3 calls its starting to get on my nerves. =Is there any way to stop them from calling?

I really don't like intermittent repeat calls that are nothing but a scam stating that the warranty on my car is about to expire and I need to press a selection to get more coverage. I too called the number back to find some no name voicemail about mortgage coverage. This should be reported to FCC as a scam.

I had received about 3 calls from this number then finally answered today and got the recording trying to sell me extended warranty. This is BS. How can we stop this?

I have gotten calls from here at random times using other numbers as well....though last night was the worst! My cell woke me at 4am...worried I ran to the phone and it was that crap!

Answered the phone lady said our vehicle warrenty expires at 100,000 miles, which is untrue. I told her this and she hung up.

This number called me at almost 9 at night and woke me up... I didn't pick up, but I called back and it just gave me this automatic message. It said to be taken off the call list, press 2. When I did, it said that everyone was busy, but to leave my name and number and they would get back to me. I simply left them a message saying, "No need to call back, I just want to be taken off your list because I'm tired of getting calls in the middle of the night". Nobody knows about my cell phone number other than my family, so I have no idea how they could have had it.

I just switched my phone service to Verizon and began getting these phone calls on my cell phone. I have never recieved them before this and don't give my phone number to anyone except friends, family and co-workder. Does anyone else have Verizon??

I can say that my experience is very similar, auto warranty extension. I pressed "1" to speak to a representative and had a man ask me the model and year of my car. I replied to his question with a question of why I had received the call in the first place. In the middle of my sentence, he hung up on me. I dialed the number that was left in my caller id log on my cell phone and found it led to "Mortage Services". I live in Washington and have also not gotten any calls like this before I recently submitted an online resume (specifically through Monster.com)

Funny how all of these calls have been reported within a very short period of time. Possible leak at Monster.com?

I don't mean to be redundant, but I just posted this at 800notes forum and I thought it would make good sense to repost it here: Interestingly, other people who have called have been told the company is Great Atlantic Warranty. Someone with the seemingly obvious screen name of mikezambouros posted a video the warranty company's home page video to YouTube. A quick Google search reveals Zambouros, of Jupiter, Florida was unsuccessfully charged under the RICO act in 1998 as a co-defendant with John Gotti. These are some good people.

Company does not identifiy itself in the message. Pressed 1 to talk to a representative. Representative "Tony" asked me for the make and model. Asked for company name. Replied that it is "Great Atlantic Warranty" which according to them provides warranty services to dealers in the great atlantic states. Which is a surrpise seeing as I'm in the state of Washington, far from the atlantic ocean. Caller hung up on me when I asked where their company was based.

I've gotten calls from all of these numbers and keep getting them. I wonder if the people who created this site are in direct conjunction with the people who are calling me over and over. I am not picking up these random numbers any more, and havent been. No messages were left so I guess it really wasnt important. Now I'm listing this number and we'll see if I get another phone call after I post this huh? I've visiting this site on a weekly basis now... Strange huh?

I keep getting calls from this number wasting my time and minutes. I am going to call the police and report this as harassment if they don't stop today !!!

Turns out if called back, I received a pre-recorded message soliciting home mortgage financing services, and I can press certain numbers to reach different offices, including one to be placed on their 'do not call' list. Funny thing, I receive this number each day, and this is the first time I actually had a response.

I did not follow the prompts and will report this as a robotic call.

Got several calls from this number to my wife's cell phone. This company disgusts me.

Recorded message from auto company trying to get me to buy a warranty for my car. I've also gotten it from 281-520-3761. I usually just hang up; I've started getting these calls after submitting my resume at several places. These people call as late as 8pm and as early as 7am.

This was an unsolicited, recorded message, trying to sell "extended warrentee coverage". I hung up, then using the number in my phone called them bace, this rang to a recorded message from a mortage services company, wanting to refinance my home, what gives here? When do we allow cell phone numbers to be given out for unsolicited disturbances?
