How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

When I answered the phone, I got silence and then got disconnected.
I have had this number call several times between 5:30 - 8:00 in the evening... when you answer it is a recording from Shared Group telling me that I'm being contacted because I support one or many of the groups they support. You have the option to press one if interested or 2 to remove your number. When I press 2 it tells me to call back from the number who received the call.
Said they were they were representing the Humane Society and wanted me to commit to monthly financial support.
They have called several times over last few days and ask for me by name. When I ask "who's calling please?" they respond "an organization he supports. We'll call back later," and they hang up. Odd they don't wait to find out if the person they want will come to the phone.
Called my cell phone. Recorded message told me to hold for an important call...I hung up.
Interesting blog about "Share Group Inc." Turns out they're a 501(3)(c), which means they're exempt from the no call list: derechtaken.blogspot.com
I received a call from this number--it was a machine selling merchant services. I am on the no call list, but I waited, and it had an opt-out option. I pressed 8 and it hung up.
Called x2 on Feb 27th. No message
I believe they were representing the Humane Society but didn't listen long enough to verify.
