How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

Krueger calls it correctly.
Called back the number left on my caller ID. The message says that they are a call center for a number of Not-for-profit groups who I have expressed an interest in receiving a call from. Do not know who this could be but you can press 2 to have your number removed from their call lists. Called @ 6:55 PM on a Wednesday Night.
these folks call way after normal business hours for a company to call///I've gotten calls at 8:30 pm and 10:00 pm...all times of day. There cant be a human on the other side unless they've got money to burn to pay people to be on the line calling all times of day and night only to not even talk to people when they answer (which I did not but I read that others have)...do they do this just to harrass people? I could understand it if they wanted to talk to you to try to sell you something but they dont even do that anymore!!!!
These assholes call repeatedly under a different number each time. I would assume their strategy is to defeat number blocking technologies. In fact, the numbers are most likely generated by the same business entity that sells call blocking to its residential customers. Telecom companies are a black hole when it comes to business ethics. As for the do-not-call list, its useless. We get as many calls now as before they started it. Direct marketing has a powerful lobby. We, as mere citizens, have no such organized representation in Washington, so we're screwed.
They call using a host of different numbers: 562-223-8844,562-223-8849, 562-223-8847,619-801-8141, 619-801-8133, 619-801-8130, 818-663-9455, 323-330-1435 so good luck avoiding them!! I am also on the donot call list
