Credit Card Services and call me at least once every other week. They will not give me any information and hang up before I can ask anymore questions

They called me last year...can't remember all details, had me conned on the phone, I gave one cc# to lower APR, yeah, stupid! well, i know better now...., but I wouldn't give them my social sec#, didn't understand why they needed it for their reasons ...then i started getting suspicious. started asking questions, tried to cancel, said i couldn"t, this was the part of the convo where i talk to this other person saying that i agreed to the info that the first 2 people said, incl the charge, but the thing is, they didn't say what he said about giving my ss# for some ridiculous reason, i can't remember the foolish reasoning, prob because it had absolutly nothing to do w/lowering the APR of the CC.

After i got off the ph i started searching everyting i knew about this company i just sold my soul to. Well all i kept seeing was a terrible 4 letter word...SCAM!! Boy did i feel stupid. the next thing i did was called my credit card company to tell them what i just did, Saying that i just fell prey to a scam. They basically said yup ya did, the only company that can lower your APR is us (your cred card co-this is Chase's policy, but, & I'm only guessing, it's prob the same for most CC co's)., and only w/you personally & not w/a third party acting on your behalf.

I got the charges reversed & new CC issued...Now, I don't answer the phone unless i recognize the number, or i screen the message, if it's a scam, or a cold call (even though i'm on the national don't call list), they don't leave messages...i get a lot of hang ups. So when i came home one day a couple of weeks ago to a message fr my cc co saying that i may a fraudulent chg on my card pls call this number. when i called the number, it was automated & it said to plug in your cc#, i hung up thinking that was the scam. So i called the ph# on the bk of my CC & started to tell them about the ph msg that i just got, when she oh yes i see it right here, i'll put you through to the Fraud dept.
Somehow the company, called SAVE MY CREDIT ACCELERATED DEBT RELIEF, AKA IXE Accelerated Services, got my new CC# & chg'd my card w/o my auth obviously, since i don't even give anyone a chance to talk to me much less try to con me again.

What i'd like to know is how they got my new CC#? Maybe they can get it if the last 4 #'s are the same. Those chg's will be reversed & a new card's been iss'd w/all new #'s.

Sorry for the length, i've never done this kind of thing before...but i felt that maybe if others were to be contacted by these jerks hopefully this will help a little.

These people are crooks -- they're trying to get your bank account information so they can empty it, or get your credit card number so they can use it. So why would they care about a Do Not Call List? Why would they care whether you get mad or not? Eventually they get account numbers from a FEW suckers, or they wouldn't keep at it. So I try to talk to the live PERSON. I say something like: "My old friend, a taxi driver in New York, thinks that if you cut someone off in traffic, the next light you come to will be red. He calls it 'Instant Karma'. Whenever you put some BAD into the world, sooner or later you get the same amount of BAD back. You could get a better job than scamming poor, not-very-bright people out of their hard-earned money, couldn't you? Otherwise, your life will get worse, one way or another..." Stuff like that.

These criminal telemarketers illegally leave fake information on your Caller ID (hence why some of the companies who you think are the ones calling really are not, although IXE is definitely one of them, American Debt Negotiators is the other main culprit). The only way to stop them from calling you again and again (using different spoofed Caller ID info each time) is to report them using their real identities. received many calls from the above number on my cell, offering to reinstate my auto policy. don't know who these people are, but they need to be stopped, cell phone usage is not free. please put a stop to these calls, I have listed my number on dnc list, but apparently that does not matter.

Ahh got 1 caller to quit finally, and here we go again, well last time after reporting it 50 times AND having fun with them when they do call. I picked up the phone although I did not recognize the number, because it was not a private number. As soon as I answered the call, I've received an automated message questioning me if I wanted to lower my interest rate to 6.9%, and that it must be done immediately. Then a male voice with an Indian accent answered the phone, "Do you want to lower your interest rate?" He sounded rude and so I asked for the company name, not only because he was rude, but because I have more than one credit card! This is when the red flag hit me. However, when I asked, the dude just hung up on me. The end.

This number called my cell phone after 7pm, I didn't answer and after reading the comments below, I'm glad I didn't!

As stated earlier, the company behind these calls is IXE Accelerated Financial Services, and they have a toll-free number: 1-888-226-5185.

Call this number from a public (i.e., PAY) phone booth to voice your concerns multiple times. They have to pay significantly (over $0.50 per call) each time they pick up because they have to reimburse the pay phone company on top of their regular phone bills!

This gets their attention. Ask them to remove your number. It's gratifying to know that they have to pay more than $0.50 to hear your concerns, and that you can make them pay more if they continue to harass you.

Picked up the phone and heard a prerecorded bimbo who claims she's "Heather." The robot bimbo tries to pitch a credit card-debt relief scheme. All this crap is coming from a cheezy telmarketing outfit in Coral Springs, Florida, and the rinky-dink boiler-room operation calls itself American Debt Negotiators. What a collection of clueless creeps!

Repeated calls from this number over the last 2 days on my cell phone which is on the DNC registry. 4 calls yesterday, 3 so far today. I've lodged a complaint with the FCC for each call.

A call intended to deceive me into thinking that they were somehow related to my auto company's warranty department. "To alert you that the warranty on your vehicle is about to expire". Of course, I don't have a car whose warranty is about to expire.

Today, 04-16-2008 at 2:14pm, we received a phone call from 516-482-7092. When our answering machine started playing, a female voice started speaking over our announcement (not waiting for the beep) stating that there was "a concern relating to your credit card account" and that nothing was wrong, but to "press 1 if you want a better interest rate," bla bla bla. I'm pretty sure this is a credit card phishing fraud.

Tried to call the number back but got a message saying the International call could not be completed as dialed.

Recording said, "Congratulations! You've won an all-expenses-paid Caribbean cruise . . ." I hung up without pressing any keys. I will file a complaint with the FCC as I am on the DNC list.

Being that many of the comments on this website state this call comes from Boca Raton, I imagine it is from a scammer who tried to rip me off of more than $1000 yesterday when attempting to purchase airline tickets through Ultimate Fares.com. I quickly disputed this charge and the credit card company cancelled my account immediately. The credit card company also said it was a scam since they had made two false charges against my account. If you've been scammed report it to the FTC immediately and cancel your credit cards!

Hi this is Heather at account services and wants to lower my credit card now they dont give you no option to push 1 to talk to rep or 2 to not call again. I have reported these people and reported them and they keep calling from other numbers. They are harrassing and annoying people. Whats odd I dont even own a credit card and never have had one.

These people are calling representing themselves as "My Credit Card Company" and obviously they are not. Its a solitation call! Don't answer them or get as much info from them as you can and report them. I will do the same.

This was my third call today from this number! The first two were the Warranty scam, this one was the credit card scam. Do not call does not cover this, FTC and FCC may but these guys may be offshore. They say they are in Georgia and the area code is in Florida. If you look at the phone number as an international number I think you will see something alltogether different.

Second call today from these scam artists. I talked to them because I feel the more time I keep them on line the less time they have to fraud someone. They claimed they were in Atlanta. Yea, right.

When I answered a recording came on that said "Hello, my name is Heather!" like you might hear on a phone sex commercial or something, then the phone clicked a couple of times and the call went dead. After reading these other reports it sounds like a scam and I am reporting. I am on do not call list and have unknown numbers blocked on phone.

Received 3 calls today from 561-482-7092. Hit 1 to speak with them was given name Angela. When I requested business information and told them I was on the do not call list they hung up and I got another automated call about 20 minutes later. I have filed complaints locally. Caller ID shows up as "marketing" and call identifies company as "Finical Services".

I did not answer, no message.

About one hour ago (4-15-08, 3:00 PM CDT) I got a call from 561-482-7092 -- wanting to "save us $$ on our credit cards -- VISA & MC". I told her she was PHISHING -- which is illegal -- and that we didn't have any (profanity) credit cards & I was going to report her to the FBI. I let her have it! These people call our house fairly often with their scams. It does NO GOOD to be listed on the DO NOT CALL LIST. Plus, when I tried to call the number back -- it's bee DISCONNECTED!

Calls about five times a week. Recorded message. Identifies self as "Heather with credit card services." I also receive many recorded messages that my car warranty is
about to expire. Must be from the same outfit. Will file a complaint per Jeff's suggestion.

Said something about my "eligibility about to expire" and to press one to speak to a live individual. I pressed one and a foreign accented woman came online. I asked her what this was about and she hung up on me.

The phone rang a couple of times, when I picked up there was no hang-up sound, nothing, just silence. But this number showed up in my "Received calls" list.

This is a collection agency known as Pinnacle Financial Group.

These guys just don't stop. Do not bother reporting them to the do not call list since this only works for legit businesses. Report them to the FCC on a formal complaint for robo calling and to the FBI and your local authorities. A ton of these reports may be the only thing that shuts these prople down. I have had these calls from them forever and insult them and call them on what they are doing every time. They continue to call.

We've received calls from this group in the past. Don't give them any information. They're not a legitimate company. We simply don't pick up.

This # shows up about once a week and goes to my voicemail. The message is automated, and mentions something about my current credit card account and there is nothing wrong, but they would like to talk to me about lowering my interest rates.
"Press 1 if you are interested, press 2 to discontinue receiving these notices".

Today I pressed 1 for a "live agent" and spoke briefly with "Joy" who would not divulge the company name and who claimed, when i asked to speak to a supervisor, that she had "just walked out the door." then she hung up on me. I've gotten calls from this number from the auto warrantee scam and from the lower your credit card interest scam.
I pressed one on the car warrantee call and yelled at the guy for a while.

I listened to the recording about lowering my interest rate on my credit card. Didn't mention a bank name. I pressed 1 and a man answered United Debt Aid and I asked if this was about "MY" credit card and he didn't say a word and disconnected.

Said I've been notified several times about my vehicle warranty expiring and to press 1 to speak with agent. I pressed one and asked that my number be removed when a gentle answered. He hung up on me. Tried to call back. Said the # is out of service.

This is the second time someone has tried to contact me regarding some crap. These people need to get real jobs instead of trying to steal someone's identity or at least get someone smart enough that articulate words properly. This is just a scam, whenever the number comes up just ignore it. I am shocked that the people that are on the dnc list still got called as well. Don't bother calling back the number because you will get a recording saying that the number has been disconnected.

Started the call saying "my car warranty was about to expire"...never did connect to a real person and when I called the number back to bitch them out, I got a message saying it was a disconnected number...

I connected to the representative and told him that I was on a Don't Call List, and that I would report any further calls. And he said in a taunting voice, "We'll be calling." I think this is illegal and I am reporting to it to the FCC and FTC.

Message said to push one if I wanted to lower my credit card interest rate. I pushed one and received an American, I am pretty certain, male asking about my credit cards. I played dumb, and he hung up on me. I called back and the number was disconnected.

Been tracking these types of calls to my home phone from multiple phone numbers. Same phone numbers also ask about car warranties.

Now I always press 1 to talk to a representative and then just set the phone on the kitchen counter or my desk and go on with what I'm doing until the cordless phone noise of an off hook phone tells me to hang up :)

And of course report the number to the FED do not call registry.

Today, these people called me again, when I told the lady that I wanted my name and number taken off, she said it would take 7-10 business days. I told her the last person told me 78 hours, 909-842-8134. I asked her where she got my name and phone number, she hung up on me. This is a scam!

Called home 2:03PM EDT, recording announces "You've just won an all expense paid vacation, press 1 to have your number removed from our lists, press 2 to claim your vacation. I pressed 2, female telemarketer answered (relatively diplomatic), launched into a script within 1 second to get my info for the "vacation". I interrupted, asked the company name ("All About You Vacations"), requested I be removed from their telemarketing robot call list, she apologized twice while stating that they would comply (hard to believe she even apologized). Undoubtedly a scam, based on the messages logged against this number! Waiting for the next call...

First call came today. Conducted a Google Search and found many reports of abusive language and constant calling. No message left, and we will not ever answer a call that shows us the caller is anonymous. I too am on the the no call list that we all signed up for a few years back.

Never pick up the phone - just let it go to voice mail or your answering machine and sooner or later they will give up...I hope. I tried to fill out a complaint but the government web site just sits there and information entered is never completed.

Same "lower your interest rates" scam. I have received calls from them before, so it appears that pressing "2" to have your number removed from their call list does not work. This time I pressed "1" to speak to a live person and told him to get that I am not stupid and that he should get a real job instead of trying to scam people for a living, then I hung up. Now I will probably get even more calls from these crooks.

I listened the whole recording and pressed 1 to get somebody on the line. A man happily answered: Did you press 1 to get your debt reduced? When I said I pressed 1 to get my number off that list he hanged up immediately without saying a word.

Received a call from this number. He did not give his name. He was verbally and sexually abusive over the phone.

Been getting these calls off and on for two years. We get hung up on when we tell them we don't have any credit cards or when we ask to speak to a manager. The number was disconnected when I called them back. So, I did some searching on the internet. That number is attached to Thomas and Ann Deleo, 22646 Vistawood Way, Boca Raton, FL 33428. The address is in Timberlake Condominiums. I don't think it's a business at all; just some people trying to scam people from their home. I have contacted the Florida Better Business Bureau and the FCC. I am on the "Do Not Call" list. Doesn't seem to matter these scammers.

After dealing with these people over several months, reporting them to the FCC, and FBI, I decided to fight back. I called the 1-800 number on their website 1-888-226-5185 and asked for the name of the company attorney. The receptionist was taken aback and wanted to know why. I said I intend to serve them with a harrassment lawsuit. I was quickly transfer to a man who was defensive and said "why would I give you information to put my employer out of business?" I told him of the repeated harrassment and that I would track down the information and have them served. He said if I gave him my phone number he would personally have it removed from the list. I did this (hope that won't come back to haunt me), and said if I received one more call I would be taking this further. Hopefully that took care of it.

Just got the call...again. Called on my cell about lowering my interest rate on credit cards. None of my cards have this number associated to them, so I knew they were not ligit.

It sounds like they are scamming people and telling us that they are this company, or that vendor, etc. at different times. It's different every time you call and I think it depends on where you call them from. Just a wild guess! They call us every single day for several months now. What is the point of having your name/number on the Do Not Call list if it isn't honored? I hate people who are rude and who break the law. I am definitely going to look into this further.

Scam - Possibly computer generated with false Caller ID info. Could be originating from out of the country. I have learned that sometimes there will be someone on the other end, but will not answer questions or identify etc.

I have received many "urgent" calls from Account Services to lower interest rates. They have a bogus opt-out option by pressing 8. I have done that repeatedly but they keep calling. Once I pressed 1 to speak with a representative. The man told me they were located in Florida. I asked why they called since I don't own a single credit card. He said he would immediately remove my number. Obviously, that wasn't true. I report all these calls to the FCC, but I don't think there's much they can do since the telephone displayed is probably as bogus as the ability to opt out.

Recieved a call and upon answering there was silence then the telco automated report of a disconnect was heard. I would say someone's auto dialer is randomly dialing out and then disconnecting. Caller ID reported that the call came from Boca Raton, Florida. This can definitly be bothersome.

I received a call from this number on my cell phone. The recording said "we are calling about your credit card account, there is no problem with your account but we may be able to lower your interst rate. If intersted, Press 1" so I did, just to see who it was. I only have one credit card, $300 limit, with ZERO balance. I pressed one and was routed to "RICHARD" and asked him the name of the company he was calling from and he wouldn't tell me and he said I'm not calling about one credit card in particular I am calling to lower your interest on all of your cards, it's not to transfer balances or anything like that. I said that I don't currently have a balance on my credit card and he slammed the phone down in my ear. Ohhh boy if I could find out where Richard is I'd give him a call back and . . . . well, I better not say . . . but that S&^# pisses me off when they call me for something and I actually speak with them politely only to have them slam the phone in my ear. I'm heated!!

Despite being on the Do Not Call list I got so fed up with all these unwanted calls (including from 561-482-7092) I found this neat little unit that can be programmed to either block or send unwanted calls to your answering machine without your phone ever ringing! You can add as many numbers as you want and even program it to have ALL 800, 888, 877, & 866 numbers dumped straight into the answering machine. I

Received 1st call today from this number. Came up from Boca Raton, Florida. Because my family lives in Florida I answered the phone. It was an automated voice telling me that I had "won" an all-inclusive cruise... Before it could go any further I just hung up. So much for the National Do Not Call Registry. What a waste of time and taxpayer's money that was!!!

This was a voice recording offering a reduction on credit card interest. When a person picked up the other line, they were trying to get me to sign up onto a program to reduce credit card debt. I asked which one of MY credit card companies they worked for, they said they didn't. When I asked if the National Do Not Call Registry meant anything to them, they said that they aren't trying to sell me anything so that it didn't apply to them. I told them that they were trying to sell me a service, therefore they were bound to it. What would you suggest if I gave out my SSN before realizing what was really going on? Once they asked for my bank account number, I realized something was up and I hung up. Can't believe I was so stupid.

"Auto Protection" is at 866 884 6555. Certifiable fact. I too get these pre-recorded calls from Heather, Cancun Vacations, Consumer Services, etc. They don't identify themselves and so FCC can't prosecute. Well today it was Auto Protection, ostensibly from Atlanta, offering extended car warranty. These guys will hang up if you mention FCC or DNC, or pointedly ask for their address, proper company name or phone number. So I chatted them up, got passed around to other expert agents, gave them a VIN to look up, let them explain the deal to the point that they asked for my credit card number. At that point I said, look, buddy, I don't know you, and you'll understand I'll have to call you back to conclude this. "Barry" was so close to a sale, he couldn't resist. He gave me the 866 toll-free number above, x 2208, I called back and spoke to him again (and declined the warranty of course). So this is not a dud number. I reported it to FCC. I urge you to do the same if they call you, and quote that 866 number. Report them to FTC too. Many of these outfits are related or the same. Let's shut them down. CAUTION: Before you try my method with someone else, be warned that it carries various risks: they have your name, address and phone number; you don't have theirs. I reported these idiots to my state attorney general's office today. I also plan on forwarding my complaint to the FCC. I hope these guys are stopped and held accountable.

This number called my cell tonite, it was a missed call thank goodness! I googled the phone number and got this site. Since I have my cell registered at donotcall.gov, I filed a complaint tonite. If they call your # that has been on the donotcall site for at least 31 days, file a complaint and get these idiots to pay!

Just called my cell. Didn't leave a message. I got a call a few weeks ago from a number I did not recognize. When I called back a couple hours later, the number came up disconnected. I don't remember if it was the same number but I do remember looking up the area code. It came up Florida. I have learned not to answer unfamiliar numbers. Just like everyone else said...if it is important, they'll leave a message.

Recorded Voice is from "Heather" who says she can help lower interest rates. Press 1 if you want to lower interest rates, 2 if you want to discontinue services. Pressed 1 and after "Andrew" found out I didn't want the services and after I asked what their company name was, hung up on me abruptly.

When I answered this, no one responded, and it eventually hung up on me. I've had thousands of calls in the past from both the car warranty (for months every single day, sometimes multiple times a day), and for debt reduction crap. Also had healthcare calls and burial plan calls. All are prerecorded, requiring my participation to speak to someone, or get off their list. I am now on the DNC list, due to the car warrany calling every single day for many, many months. There's no way to stop them, as all are recordings. All come from many different phone numbers with only a few numbers used more than once. Sometimes there's no number, and there's been all different Caller IDs, or "out of area". I've had Ann from Senior Care, Service America, Warranty Services, Account Services, and other meaningless company names. I think they all try to bilk money from desperate folks, all the while irritating the crap out of everyone else. Their methods should be banned, and they need to be fined, preferably with everyone who's been disturbed receiving part of the fine.

Telemarketing call about lowering my interest rates. I receive these calls about three times a week. I punched the numbers to get to a customer representative. I told her i was interested in thier services but can not talk to her now is there a number i can get back to her. She said they would just put me in the que so they will call me back. I told her then that i do not want thier services and please remove me from thier calling list. She said fuck you and we will be calling you even more.

This is the second time I have been contacted from this number. Message recording comes on first and makes it sound like they are contacting you from your credit card company...telling you this is your last chance to take advantage of lower interest rate...press 1 if interested...then person comes on and says...did you press 1 to lower your interest rate...answer "yes" but then if you go on, they are not looking at your info...they need you to give them info to proceed...at that point, I realized scam and hung up.

With the second call..I was more prepared and said..."give me the name of your company and a number my husband can call you back at...I let my husband do this"...and the guy sounded panicked...and said he thought "I was trying to ask him for a date or something". When I assured him I was not hitting on him, but felt it was wise I look into and research a company that wanted my credit card info over phone, he said to google Consumer Services and he would put me back in system for a call back. This has fraud all over it!!!!

Caller ID shows that they called when I was out. Too bad. I love fielding calls from this type of dirtbag. To waste their time I act interested and give fake name, fake zip code, fake SSN, and fake credit card number. I do keep a real 800 customer service number handy (not from my own bank). That way when they call to verify my account, although they will fail, they will get a connection. So they will probably try entering it a few times before giving up.
Visa accounts start with 4 and Mastercards start with 5. If you need to think up some plausible-sounding random numbers on short notice, the caller ID display can be a rich source of those.

Credit Card Services, say they will lower interest rates. Recall repeatedly, their #2 "no future calling" option does not work. When asked to identify themselves they give vague answers, when asked what bank they represent, they say 'hundreds'. When asked specifically which of my banks they are calling from, they say the same thing or hang up. When asked to give company identifying information or a supervisor, they hang up.

called to "reinstate my warranty". could not tell me what past business i've had with them. said they got my name/number from a list from manufacturers. told them i'm on the do not call list. would not transfer me to a supervisor, hung up instead. wanted vin/make/model info on my vehicle they supposedly covered previously.

I asked what number I could call them back at and he gave me 1800-622-7747, which is Mastercard Card Services. So I reported them to Mastercard Card Services when I called that number and let them know about it. I also filled out the FCC do-not-call complaint form, found online.

Definitely a scam. Please beware. These people have been actively going since at least Jan of 2008. Different numbers, same recordings. They have called me many times with many different caller ID numbers. I haven't yet seen or heard of the car warranty angle, however. Only credit card rate lowering.

I got this one too, it was a credit card offer automated message regarding "my" credit cards which gave me the option to speak with a live person when i did, I told him i want my name and or number removed from this and went on to say that this was an entirely unsolicited call, but he hung up on me. on difference it came in on what looks like and international number and there was allot of distortion and bad audio, the number shows as +56184278092.

Phone rang, I picked up, and automated voice came one and said "Press 1 if you would like to lower your credit card rate to 6.9% Press 2 for something else (can't remember now what that was). I press 1, it connects me to a guy who asks "Did you press 1 to lower your credit card rate?" I said yes. He asked me my name. I then asked who he was and who he was with. He said he asked me first. Then he simply hung up. Obviously some scam. Probably trying to trick people into giving out personal & financial info.

This is the third time they've phoned in the last two days, yet they always hang up before I can say a word. Not exactly a good way to drum up business, I'd say. ;-)

Third day in a row this company has called, although for the two previous day I have asked them VERBALLY to remove me from their internal call list, and their clients call list and verbally notified them they are calling a number on the DNC list. This is IXE Financial Service Centers. This information was obtained from the FL Atty. General's Office in regards to a complaint I had made previously against this company. This company DOES NOT have a telemarketers license in Florida and IS currently being investigated. I've recieved 15 of these calls in the last month and never once have they given me contact information that's legit. I'm on the nat no call list so this is pissing me off. This time I stuck with them and gave them some fake credit-card account info which they didn't even flag as bogus. The next time they call I'm going to threaten to murder the agent on the other end and see if they call the police - if they file a police report then we will know who's behind this company!

I work in a DME company and am constantly getting telemarketer calls. My boss asked me to speak with them so they can take us off the CALL LIST! The man was very nice until I told him we were a place of business and to PLEASE not call. He then said "I'm sorry I can't understand you! I don't speak SLUT!!" Can you believe that!!?? Received the credit card lower rate call on my landline from 305/637-9773 two days ago. When I asked if he had something lower than 0% he laughed and I requested my number be dropped. Today, I got the call on my cell phone from 561/482-7092 regarding warranty coverage on my vehicle. As I had a few extra minutes on the phone, I pressed to talk to an operator. When he came on he asked for the year and make of the vehicle. I told him that I had just traded it and he was gone before I could tell him to remove the number. I tried to call them back and like all of you, found that the number was disconnected. I will not pick up in the future.

I get calls from this organization alot. When you answer, it's a recording of "Heather" saying something like "there's no problem with your accounts, but they may be able to lower your interest rates..." Today I was actually able to get some answers. "Sarah" alleges that the name of the company is "Financial Services". Apparently they have Financial Planners that negotiate with your credit card company to get a lower rate. "Sarah" said she needed to qualify me in order to send me onto the account manager. Qualifying entailed asking me if I had more at least $4K in credit card debt, and if I was paying a finance charge higher than 10% on that debt. Now, she then needed all my credit card numbers and the 800 numbers to call and verify that I wasn't lying about owing that much and paying that interest rate. Also, She said there's no "OUT OF POCKET" costs to me. I said, "oh, so it doesn't cost me anything?" She said "I didn't say that, I said there's no OUT OF POCKET costs to you". So duh, it costs you money eventually, especially considering they're just going to rip off your credit card numbers.

Got a call yesterday from a pleasant-sounding fellow who said my account was in good standing, and that I may be eligible to lower th interest rate on my credit card. I asked WHICH credit card he was referencing, and he responded "YOUR credit card." So I asked "Specifically, which bank are you calling from? Which of my credit cards am I applying for lower rates on?" He began to stutter: "Any of them... all-- all of them." I responded "So you're not actually affiliated with any of the credit cards currently residing in my wallet, then? His response came: "Well... you see... I DON'T LIKE YOUR ATTITUDE!" And he hung up on me. Fun.

This is amazing... I just got a prepaid phone and this number called me on it. I picked up and it was a recording about "my current credit account. Nothing is due but I need to contact them immediately...." I hung up since my minutes are going down by this call. I called back from a different line and "this number is disconnected" UNBELIEVABLE!! This "company" calls repeatedly and they use a somewhat angry/demeaning tone. They say "Your factory warranty is about to expire and you have been contacted repeatedly regarding this matter. Immediate action is required...". They almost make it sound like they're trying to make you believe that they're a auto manufacturer and there's a problem with your vehicles coverage.

Not surprising they are telescammers - calling from the world spam capital, Boca Raton, in the Spamshine State. Probably relates to the car warranty scams operated by Ralph Mancuso (whocalled.us) also out of Florida.

These guys have an auto dialer and recorded message that prompts you to press 1 for more information. They call even if your number is on the national do-not-call list. And if you ask for their address (to send a complaint) they hang up on you.

I got a call from this place too. As I suggested at the other place, we should all answer, press #1, and say "llama" as soon as you know he can hear. If we all say the same thing, he'll know the scam is up.

After doing a little research, they are using what is called "Spoofing". there is actually an online service they can call through that gives them a fake caller ID number that will show up on your phone, so reporting the number shown does no good. Call you local congressman and get them to move on the spoofing services and make them illegal!

They called twice a few days ago with "Out of Area" for caller ID. Today I the caller ID said "Florida". I called the number and got the "I'm sorry this phone number is disconnected and out of service" message. This phone number is now blocked from ringing through to my phone.

I didn't recognize the number, so I didn't answer, from the look of it, I'm glad I didn't!

They gave a bogus address in Kissimmee, Fl along with a bogus call back number. They said they were trying to help me reduce my interest payments on behalf of my credit card company - interesting considering I don't maintain a balance and that my credit card company knows nothing about them. Also fascinating how these scam artists seem to have non-US accents.

They have called several times wanting to reinstate a vehicle warranty for a vehicle that was never purchased with a warranty. I asked for them to remove my name from their calling list and they hung up on me.. they then called my cell phone about 10 minutes later.

Oddly enough, I am in dispute with an ebay seller from this same area in Florida...and think it's the guy trying to harass me since he found out today he's lost the dispute.

"Account Services" Lower your interest rates Tele-marketer scam. I get this same message a lot and most of the times you never get a number in the caller ID. If you do get a number you can do something about it. File a complaint with the FCC even if your number is not on the do not call list.
