How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

called but no message...my id says oto inc. stupid people
I noted the bogus number as soon as it came up on the display, so I answered it for fun to see who it was. Someone from "Landmark Windows" wanting to set up and appointment to sell me some replacement windows. I said no thanks and we disconnected. Did a quick search for Landmark Windows, found what appeared to be the right company, called, found what appeared to be the head honcho's extension and left a message indicating that if they are running a telemarketing campaign, whatever call centre they are using is violating telemarketing laws by not broadcasting a valid phone number where people can call back. I left my name and number for call back. Let's see what happens.
Phone call missed, no message left. Later phone rang again with same number (no ID) but line is dead when picked up. Happens often with other numbers as well. When will it end???????????
(Mr. White, from the St. Catharines, Ont.-based firm (Enerstar Marketing Inc.,) the Call disply showed 555-444-3333. Did Call trace Callback number given was for Landmark Windows and Enerstar Marketing( ST Catherines ontario). Have Written the CRTC TO report the above companies (555-444-3333)for it is a Phoney Telephone number.
Have also reported to Rogers for I have call blocking and it doesn't accept this number........Now something is really wrong with this "option as well".

Thank you, OhjayKatz for riding their butts....this was pain in *** just figuring out this Bogus Number!! If this isn't blatant misrepresentation or fraud, I don't know what is...yet no controlling body takes any steps??? Guess it's because big business has lodged any reports of losing big $... or it would be resolved. Ohhh...did I say that out loud?? LOL Hats off to you,

Caller was calling tring to sell appointments for Window replacements. agent asked specifically for the last name of the owner, but the Call disply showed 555-444-3333. Did Call trace (*69), same thing. Callback number given was for Landmark Windows and Enerstar Marketing. Have Written Scathing report to Management to smarten up, and a report to the Canadian Gov for their deceptive practices. (555-444-3333) is a Bogus Telephone number.
When I tried to call to see who it was an automated voice came on to say I needed an area code.
Hmm...weird number. Didn't leave a message, of course.
This one has called a few times - stupid idiotic display # if you ask me - like I'm going to answer? They won't leave a message either. Annoying as h*ll!
