Who Called Us

intersting, the guy i talked to said he was asking for donations for the Tucson Police Lodge one. After reading the other comments, i'm questioning just who they represent.

They call ALL the time! I get several calls during the week---EVERY WEEK! I donated once or twice 5 years ago, but they wanted donations too frequently. Single working mom going to school--I can't afford to donate monthly

I used to work for a similar company calling for donations. I quit after 2 weeks. It just seemed too sketchy to me...and so you all know, they get commission based on how much people they call pledge. Not sure how that works out, and I don't care to. I quit after one day of being on the floor and never cared to receive that money. Sorry to all of you who are getting these calls. They are annoying, I know, but the people calling you don't always like that they have to be pushy...a lot of kids do it to put themselves through college. They shouldn't be allowed to call again if you have told them not to. Since it all goes through a computer system, there can always be glitches or entry of wrong info. Personally, I wouldn't donate through them. If you want to donate, do it straight through the organization. My god, I hated that job! :) Best of luck.

Don't know the number but we get repeated calls (more than weekly; all times of day and night, Sundays, holidays) from paid solicitors who allege to represent Tucson Firefighters Association. Most are pushy and the degree of pushiness and arrogance is increasing. Have repeatedly requested to be removed from list. But it just keeps on going. What are next steps? Attorney General complaint?

Phone only rang 3 times. It has to ring 4 times for answer machine to pick up. They have called every day for a week.

They call at least once a day and either hang up after a few rings or never leave a message on the answering machine.

Call came out of a call center. Caller claimed to be calling on behalf of Tucson Firefighters Assoc. Not sure it's legit. Caller was pushy, interrupted me several times. It took three refusals before caller hung up.

Calls once every couple of days, does not leave message. Even got hold of my cell number.

Told them I would donate if they would publibly support the impeachmnet of Georgie Bushie for wart crimes. They declined.

Will call once a week. I picked up once, very pushy about donation. If you do not pickup, they will not leave message on answering machine.

I've asked them several times to not phone and each time the person says they'll remove my number from their call list. Police association solicitations. I've resorted to telling them where to go.
