Oh and I did not mention that I do not work for cablevision. I work for Consumer Solutions. If you want to handle CV service problems don't call us. We don't give a crap.

Yeah its me calling you. I sit at a computer for eight to ten hours a day monday thru saturday while it dials your number. I work for CST in Joplin, MO. I make a very good living duping you people into trying out cablevision's crappy phone service. But I don't really feel bad because I go by the book and read all of the fine print for you so you know exactly what you are getting into.

Let me tell you what I know about you when you pick up the phone. I know that at some point in the last six months you were a cable customer. Or maybe not. I have called people that have been dead for years. But I don't know what services you have with CV. You could already have the triple play for all I know. I don't care. I just want the sale.

just keep in mind everytime you don't answer the phone, CST computers put your name back in the hat to be dialed again and again and again and again. I do place you on the do not call list when you ask and read to you a very dull script apologizing. What happens to your number after that I don't know, but I do know that CST computers will no longer let me dial you, even manually, if you are placed on the DNC list.

So now you know who is calling you. If you would like to call and bug us the telephone number is 417-624-7702. Dave is the director. Matt Russell is the assistant dir, I think is his title. They're good people so don't yell at them too much.

I don't know why keep on calling during 8:00pm to 9:00pm

register your phone number on the national do not call registry (donotcall.gov) If they still call after your number has been registered on the database for 31 days then you can file a complaint with the government. This is the reason the telemarketers say it takes "30 days" to remove your number, they are abusing the 31 day national do not call registry rule, it has nothing to do with their internal "procedures."

I'm getting calls every day too and I SPECIFICALLY asked the sales rep on the last call to remove me from the list. If you call the number back there is an option to be removed from the list....they say it may take up to 30 days to go in effect. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!

I am so sick of them .... first Cablevision kept calling me, now these people. I've told Cablevision until Jim Dolan sells the company, he's not getting any more of my money! AND THEY STILL CALL ME!

I get a call about 4 times a day from these assholes. No message.

This is extremely annoying. I get approximately 12 calls a day from these people. I never answer, but still annying.

It is cablevision and if you call the number back you can add your number to the "don not call list".

It's CableVisions telemarketing number. If you call the number back they give you promts to get on the Do Not Call List. It says at the end it can take up to 30 days.

This is CableVision, trying to sell you Cable TV/Internet/Phone service. The scumbags disguise their calls as CVC Melville CL. The best defense is to never answer their calls. This will make them waste dozens of calls & then they'll simply go away.

These people have called me many times. The caller ID always reads "CVC Melville". Yesterday (5/31 @ 11:26 a.m.) when I finally answered,a guy identified himself from Cablevision, told me I was eligible to save money on my cable bill and then proceeded to ask me which service I had. I basically told him, "if you're really from Cablevision and if you think I'm eligible to save money, shouldn't you know what I have?" I semi-politely asked him not to call back. We'll see what happens.

516-393-0168 is cable vision tele marketing call. They call every hour of the day! Don't answer, but call the number back (516-393-0168) *it's automated* Press 2, then they'll ask for your telephone number-enter your 10 digit to get taken off the DO NOT CALL LIST.

Cablevision. I called back, chose option #2 to be put on the do-not-call list, had to press 1 to proceed in English, then enter my 10-digit and I was done.

Calls every day. I have filed complaints on the Do Not Call list and have insisted these people stop calling me. Never ending calls. No idea how to stop this.

I have received MANY phone calls from this number! Other google links say that this number is associated with Cablevision - something I find to be annoying considering I am already a customer! This number calls during business hours while I am at work AND it calls me at night! Leave me alone!

I am on the National Do Not Call registry and I have also told Cablevision specifically that I want to be put on their internal do not call list. The law states that even though you may be on the national do not call list, if you do business with a company (if you have tv, internet, phone service from cablevision) you are implying that you agree to receive calls from such businesses. You need to do both. I have done both, because I use Cablevision as a service provider, and they still continue to call about triple play. I have told them numerous times that I want to be put on their do not call list and that I have told them this before. Each time I tell them, they give some excuse like, "the person you spoke to last time was probably new and didnt know how to do it." Here is the link for the national do not call list. This site also provides a link to file a complaint. I file a complaint every time they call. Everyone should do this. Maybe it will do some good?

Its cablevision trying to sell my the "triple play" plan, even though i've told them numerous times I don't want it and stop calling me. I HAD the triple play and canceled the phone part, and they just don't get it.

Phone rang, I picked up and listened (in case it was a solicitor) but there was no one there. *69 said it was 516-393-0168, but I'm glad I checked the Internet and found this site before I called the number. My wife says we've gotten calls from this number before. This is very wrong. I'll see if I can report this number to Verizon, or call Cablevision's customer service (joke?!) to cease and desist.

Getting repeated calls. When I pick up they either hang up or I get a recording saying "this is cablevision telmarketing, you can reach us by calling ....". Naturally, I have no wish to call them!

Their messaging system would not allow me to get on the "do not call" list and then the sales rep who finally picked up the phone could not hear me for some reason so she hung up on me.

I used to get this phone calls on my cell phone. I text them a very, very nasty message like "stop calling me you mother******* or I will cut your service" I don't know if they even receive text messages, but the phone calls did stop. Try it, what is the worst that can happen?

Used to get about 3 calls a day from this number, one day it stopped and now I get about 3 calls a day from 647-288-7825. Research online says they are different companies but they have the same calling pattern.

Call the number back. You can select the option of beinf placed on CABLEVISIONS do not call list. NOt sure if it works. Just did it 5 seconds ago.

THey have called me for the past 2 months. Sometimes twice a day, usually once a day, every day. Sometimes as early as 9 am, sometimes as late as 10 pm. It makes me want to cancel my cable service.

this is the THIRD time that cablevision has called me repeatedly, but every time they do it, it's from a different city/area code. this one is florida, last time it was chicago or something. they know we hate it so they keep changing numbers!!

These freakin people. I have told them to put me on the do not call list about 4 times. Each time I say. "I have asked to be put on the list before." Every time its the same answer. They say, "oh, wow. I don't know what happened. Maybwe it was a new person that day and they screwed it up." They are blatently lying. If every caller is saying the same thing, they are being told to say this by their supervisor so asking to speak to a manager/supervisor will do nothing as well. F this company. I'm getting Verizon.

I receive calls from this # everyday. They do not leave messages. I am so f****in tired of whoever it is calling. Leave a message if it's that important.

Those annoying losers call me in spurts. 1-4 times a day for up to a week. This has happened 5 times over the past year plus. I emailed them to take me off their call list and it worked for a couple months. Now they’re calling again. Cablevision (Optimum) and/or certain individuals in their marketing department are either stupid, malicious, or both!

I've been getting tons of hang ups so I finally *69 just to see who it was. This number came up. I've never picked up fast enough to hear the recorded message, but all these hang ups are really annoying!

I wrote Consumerist.com about this a month or so ago and they posted my story. They called me approximately 10 times in one day. They are still calling. I'm not going to ask them to stop because I'm curious to see how many times they will call.
