Caller ID says CVC Melville CL. They want to sell an Optimum package. They call every day. Tonight they called at 9pm! I have told them at least 30 times in the last few months that we do not want their product and have asked them to remove us from the call list. We are very senior citizens and just want to be left alone.
i answered and they hung up, the number was as shown above.
We are former clients of Cablevision. We are on the National Do Not Call Registry. Obviously, they are not complying.
cablevsion. recently switched to verizon, told them it was because of marketing calls from this #.

I never answered. But after the third call I called back.
They were cablevision and they had an option to get on their DO NOT CALL list.

I answered the phone and this was clearly a marketing call, as I had to say "hello" three times before a woman came on the line and asked to speak "to the head of the household." I hung up. They called again a little while later, didn't leave a message. I called back later and found out this was Cablevision. I have an Optimum Online account with them, so if they had a legit question, they could have addressed me by my name or leave a message. If they don't know the name of the head of the household, it's a cold call. My Caller ID showed only the number, because my phone is a Cingular cell and doesn't show names if they are not in my phone book.
