How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

If you get a call from one of these numbers, it's from a loan salesperson. You may have applied for a loan (auto, equity, etc.) and been denied. Once you are denied, your info is sent to Wells Fargo Financial, and they will call you (leaving no messages) over and over in hopes of selling you another loan product with less favorable terms.
this number is registered to wells fargo financial in Iowa. they have a computerized system that make the calls. your phone rings 4 times and if your voicemail picks up the computer hangs up and the operator doesnt even have the oppurtunity to get on the phone. they are trying to fix the problem.
I received a call from this number. I picked it up after the second ring and answered "hello". Silence and eventually the phone went dead on the other end. Apparently, this number has called on a weekday after 5:00 p.m.; and today Saturday at 10:30 a.m. 04-12-08

Someone from this number called my cell phone *eight* times today, looking for someone who had my number before I did. Not the first time I've gotten calls from collectors for this person, which is probably why the number was available when I got my phone.
