I was awakened early Saturday morning with a call from this number. They left no message. I called them back, pressed the # for Espaniol. They gave brief message asking me to hold for rep then disconnected. I called back and asked for english, they connected me to a Mr. Jeffries in credit. I hung up. I have no outstanding bills. I think this is Macy's. They are using 3 or 4 numbers now for collections, and from what I have learned from others if you don't have an acct with them, they try to talk you into getting one. Then they start calling you from one of their other numbers. They've already wasted a lot of my time and money with the *69. Macy's should go out of business if they can't figure out how to run it properly. I have Never had an acct with them and I sure don't want one now! I used to be a customer of Marshall Field's, so I guess they feel they can go after all the old customers from stores they have bought out. I can find anything I need at some other store, thanks anyway Macy's!

This number calls me every day and hangs up. When I do speak to someone, I tell them they have the wrong number and ask them not to call. The calls persist. Please let me know if there are any class action lawsuits against this collection agency. You can contact me at:

I think this is Macy's Department stores. My roomate had an account with them on a credit card bill.

This woman called the house, and asked for someone as if they were friends just calling to chat. But I didn't recognize the voice, so I asked her for her name, before even acknowledgment of whom she was asking for:

OH does not regulate the behavior of collection agencies; which is why so many are based there--giving them essentially Carté Blanché to harrass, annoy, and prevaricate until someone drives out there to their office and slaps them with a Federal Injunction for violation of the Communications Act of 1943 for Filure to Identify on a Federally Regulated transmission medium...

Seems to be a scam.

My wife got a call from them after 6pm today regarding "a personal matter", and telling her to call 800-233-2750. Her account is current, but she did buy something this past weekend (for an amount less than the credit limit) after having not used her card in a while. She plans on calling the number on the back of her card in the morning so that she is certain to chat with an actual Macy's CSR.

It is Macy's department stores..collection dept.

Do not waste your time probably a scam--recorded message from Macy's asking for you to input your account number; then they ask for your SS# last four digits. A message will come on that says "agents are busy" or "Please call back during normal business hours".

This is clearly a scam! Called me twice on my cell phone with the same message from the same man: A personal matter! Please call 800-852-7106. The first time, he did not identify himself. The seoncd time he claimed to be Macy's. Kicker is that I never shopped nor owned a Macy's or any Macy's-affiliated cards. A PHISHING scheme whne the y ask for your account and social security number. What recourse do we have as consumers agains those crooks?

The call is coming from FDS Bank. I think they do credit card work for Macy's, Marshalls, and several others. Their mainline is 800-233-2750. They are probably calling about a problem with your card or something like that.

PS The woman I spoke with did ask for acct # and SSN. I told her I didn't know my acct # (I thought it was closed why would I know it), then she asked for SSN to access my acct, I told her I didn't want to give it out. She was able to pull up all my acct info with my name and a verification of my address, which they also had listed as my mom's. Other than that, everything seemed professional and legit. I verified my acct status with Macy's 866 # from website and everything checks out. Balance is 0 and acct is closed.

They called my mom looking for me today, they wouldn't say who they were or what the call was regarding but left a name and number for me to call. I don't even know how they got her number. I'm 21, moved out at 18 and haven't used her phone number for at least 4 years, even before I moved out, always use my cell number. Judging by how many people get called from this number looking for people that don't live there, they must try cross referencing names and accounts to locate numbers for people they can't contact. Call came from Macy's. They said I had a delinquent bill, claimed I had a $.37, yes, 37 cents, balance from September when I paid off card and thought I had closed the account. Woman on phone was quite polite, took care of late fees, finance charges, even the $.37 balance, and are sending letters to the three credit reporting agencies.

Called them back on 11/16/2006 after receiving YET another call from them. I informed the person (a man) on the other end that I had filed a complaint with the State Attorney General's Office AND the Consumer Affairs Commission. He kept insisting that I need to call their other number to "update" my info. I, not very politely (hey, I'm from NJ!) that the burden is on HIM, not me and if I receive ONE more call from them, my News Director (I work in TV) will become VERY interested. Not the end of this story, I'm sure.

Part IV.

Ok, so I was so fed up that I actually went to Macy's in person. I asked to speak with a manager and I told her what happened. She thought it sounded strange so she called the number herself. She said it sounded legitimate...and didnt seem too concerned.

Maybe Macy's is the corrupt organization. I don't know what their deal is, but I'm going to tell my Mom to cancel her account with them, it's just too screwy. I learned my lesson though, don't be fooled by someone asking for ur info.

they called me at 5:34 Pm 11/13 and it was slient...thought it was from a tele-marketer. This site is cool! I will beware from all calls from this number. No Name apperaed on caller id, just phone number and UnKnown Name

This number has called many times. I answered, a recorded message told me to hold when a woman answered and asked for me. I asked who is calling and is this a persoanl call? The woman said yes and she was calling from Marshall Fields re. a past due account. I have no past due accounts and never had an account with Marshall Fields!

I've been getting calls on my cell phone from this number for about two weeks and whoever it is never leaves a message. I get them in the mornings, afternoons and evenings. I don't answer unknown numbers, and since they won't leave a message I guess I'll never know who it is.

This number has been calling several times a day for 2 weeks. I finally called them back and it was a Macy's-related agency, seems to be a debt-buyer ploy. I told them I didn't even have a Macy's account and then said they would take my number off the list. This might work for you too!

used to call once a day.. today they called 4 times already. I don't owe any credit card bills. Must be a scam

Called back repeatedly and on the eighth or ninth try reach an individual identifying herself as from "credit services." Turns out it is Federated Department Stores and so could be about Macy's, Bloomingdales, Pier One, or a Visa card associated with one of those stores. Chances are they are calling because they show your account is late or you are paying outside your normal pattern (min due vs full balance, etc.).

do not give out info - these people want your ss# and account no. I told the woman I wasn't giving out info and that I already spoke with Macys - they should NOT be calling me. They also said "give me your account # and I can help you" I said, "I think not, I will deal directly w/Macy's - sounds like someone from overseas?

Still calling me. Mostly no messages but I think they finally left a couple messages asking "someone" to return their call regarding a business matter but the message wasn't very clear. If this is scam, hope someone would stop them.

i got 3(calls 11/02/06, 11/01/06, 10/31/06)from this number. I returned the call but its from some kind of credit(answering machine). Then they call me again...crazy shit...

These people call several times a day and never leave a message. They say they are a 'service' for Macy's. She said I was behind on my account (that has been long since paid) and wanted personal info that I would not give her. She also said they do not have to abide by the 'do not call' regulations because they are not a soliciter. HA

PART III.

UGGHHH. So I called back AGAIN. NOte that every time u call it says "thank you for calling macy's." This time it went to this lady who said they were actually ATL technologies that provide select services to Macy's from INDIA. I kept questioning her and she got rude. SHe couldn't tell me anything. I called real Macy's again and demanded to speak witha supervisor. He does not know of this number and finds the whole thing very strange. Be warned something weird is going on here. I'm going to get to the bottom of this. stay tuned.

Part II.

I called the actual Macy's credit card hotline and they have no record of this number and suggested that it's a telemarketer. SO i decided to call back the 1-800 number and question their authenticity. Well first it hung up on me TWICE. Then i got thru to a man. I asked him point blank, "who are you?" and he says "we are calling on behalf of FDS. Federal Department stores inc. We are a bank, a sister company of Macy's, We handle accounts for macy's and bloomingdales. I questioned him over and over, and He's like "I don't know how to explain it to you anymore than this. We are a bank." I said "are you a telemarketer?" he says "No." I'm like "I find it odd that Macy's has no idea who you are. Macy's did not recognize the 1-800 number." He could not explain why that would be. He says a lot of calls are generated by the computer. I'm like im not talking to a computer right now am i? I gave them THIS number and they don't have your number." Hes like "ma'am, we are not macy's, we are a bank. we are a sister company of macy's."

PART I.Got a call with from 513-573-2150. Left a msg saying "This is Macy's regarding a personal business matter. Please call 1-800-233-2750. I called this number. Wow it sounds real. Automated "thank you for calling Macy's. please enter your account number". I didnt have an account number to enter so i waited for a lady to come on the phone. BE WARNED. THEY ASKED FOR CREDIT CARD AND SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBERS. Thankfully I did not give them any of this information but I stupidly gave them an address and phone number. I did ask them "how do I not know this is a scam?" and she said "This is Macy's/Bloomingdales corporation. But I understand why you might think it could be a scam" I feel really scared that I may have just been scammed.

This is a scam agency. Do not give them any money or personal information. You can help investigation by calling your state's attorney general's office and report them for fraud and harassment.

Woman called and would not leave a message, "Said you can ask me where I'm calling from." I said why don't you tell me where your calling from. She declined and said she would call back. She called twice yesterday, left no message.

They call everyday. Last call was this afternoon at 12:56 pm on 11/1/06. I don't ever answer the phone and they never leave a message. How can one stop them from keep calling?

Monday 10/30/06 1:15pm EST. They never leave a message. I tried to call the number and it was busy. even after i called directory assistance, there was no location for that number

I got a call a couple of months ago - supposedly from someone at Macy's - collecting on a bill that was literally 1 day overdue. The woman had the nerve - I work in technology - to tell me I didn't pay my bill right online, however she didn't have a lick of information on how the online payment system worked. At the time, I thought it was very annoying but aftere seeing other comments on here, I'm concerned about this. Today I got two more calls and my bill is fine. Also, the number the message was left at states that I'm no longer at that phone number and not to leave messages. How annoying.

Macy's & Bloomindales, they're trying to get you to get a credit card and sell you crap you dont need. Tell them to put you on the do not call list or you will report them to your Attorney Generals Offices, Better Business Bureau. You have to wait to talk to the supervisor, like 5 minutes but it's their dime.

Just received a voicemail from a Ms. Johnson (no company) saying I need to call them back at 800-233-2750.
According to Google, it appears to be Macy's. I just realized I haven't received any statements from them since opening my new card so they're probably calling because I owe them some money.

I called back to the 800 number give by the person (Gloria) who left this message - 800 233 2750 and it was a Macy's phone number. It asked me to enter my account number - ya - like I'm going to do that.

I've been receiving calls from this number at least once a day, sometimes twice for the past few weeks. Sometimes they leave a message on my voicemail concerning a "personal matter" and to call back at their 800 number, sometimes nothing. I've never answered the calls. I do not own any Macy's cards or for that matter any dept store cards period and anything else is ALWAYS current. Sounds more like a scam company trying to get money from people. Might have to answer the next call and then block them out.

It is Macys and they are calling to inform me that i had a delivery coming the following day. No need to be alarmed unless you know you owe them money

I get a call every day from this number when I'm at work. Every message sounds exactly the same and I think it's a recorded voice dialed by an automated system. The voice says, "This is Maceys calling about a personal business matter. Please call 1-800-782-7754." I don't have a Maceys account.

Recieved several calls from this number. Listened to line and got disconnected after 46 seconds. Called number back and get busy signal. This is very anoying!

Folley's and Macy's merged and there was a bunch of mixups in their receivables dept. I think they shipped a bunch of paperwork off to a collection agency ...resulting in all these harrassing calls.

Received a call from this number, lady said I was past due on my foley's account. When I told her I was not, she became furious and demanded I give her a credit card number to pay the deliquent bill. I did not give her any information. She asked me why I was past due, then slammed the phone down.

I just got a call from that number @ 12:45pm eastern time. I usually "Google" phone numbers I don't recognize and this site came up. By the time I tried to answer, the person hung up. By the way, the call came to my cell phone.

I got a call from this number also..weird, no one said anything so I call it back and it rings once and then weird low static..

We both heard our answering machine's recorded message, beep, and then her one-sided conversation about what she told her boyfriend last night. She did not identify herself, state her reason for calling, or ask to speak to anybody. She did say 'hello' one time-not at the beginning of the recording, about 15 seconds into her (message?). If this is a business of any sort, the representative who called us is totally unprofessional. Calls to this number have been busy for the last 12 hours calling from another number. I requested the ATT&T long distance operator to try getting through for me, she also gets a busy signal at 2:00am on Sunday morning.

Never answered b/c I didn't recognize area code...got a call today (8/24) and yesterday.

received a call 8/24/06 from a Mrs. Combs at 513-573-2150. Telling me my Macy's card was past due and going to collection. Card is NOT past Due. Never has been. Balance paid off in full EVERY month! Said I need to learn to pay my bills on time and demanded payment by phone. This lady was the rudest person I have ever spoke to in my life. She spoke to me like I was the low life scum of the earth. She called my cel phone. How did she get my cel number? I am also on the National Do Not Call registry. This will be reported to the Attorney General and my attorney. I called Macy's and they have no knowledge of who this is calling. They confirmed my card was of good standing.I also filed a complaint with them. Who ever is making these calls needs to be charged with harassment and slander. If they call....hang up!

I have a Marshall Field's Card, which is now part of Macy's. I just moved, and realized I needed to get my bill caught up. So I went into a Macy's dept store today so they could look up my info (lost my card). The store tried their best, but couldn't get it, so they gave me the #1-888-595-7860. This # works and they took care of me. It would have been a late/collection, but they took it off because of the move. My balance on the card was only $37, now $0. A few hours later, I got a call from the #513-573-2150. Based on what I'm hearing, they're a collection agency for Macy's and their affiliates.

I have also received calls from them I get them all the time they call for my mom I always say that she is not available and whn they hang up they are very rude about it I'm like about to say can I take a message and they hang up then when I realize that they call again I curse them out cause they are really reerted. I've received ceveral calls to my home from unkwon caller and that OH person some one needs to do something about this

This same company calls my wife's cell phone 5 or 6 times a day, including weekends. When she answers and speaks with them, they tell her that her Macy's store credit card is two months past due, which is incorrect--it is current. They could not say why it was past due but demanded a payment of $40 to make it "current," which also makes no sense because of her current account balance and the fact that if it were really two months past due, it would require more than $40 to make it current. I don't trust them at all.

Have been receiving numerous calls at all hours of the day for 2 weeks. I've been avoiding it because upon pick up they a recording asks you to wait for a live person, which is ridiculous. Today I tired of the game, waited, and spoke to a "Miss Alvin" who wanted to demand payment on a Macys acct. that I closed a long time ago. I believe it's a system error as I was once an employee there. She refused to send me anything in writing and when I suggested that I found her behavior to be harrassing, she said she was "educating me." I asked to speak to a manager. I was left on hold for 10 minutes before I hung up.

I keep on receiving calls from this number in Mason, OH. I think the name of the firm is First Automated Systems & technology, Inc., 4900 Parkway Dr., Ste. 190, Mason, OH 513-754-9600 It's a collection company. F them. I am blocking their calls. They do not leave messages.

Calls galore. The first few calls were never completed as disconnected when answered.I don't know who the party is and if return the call, line is ALWAYS BUSY !!! This number has NEVER left a voicemail either.

Received daily calls, usually nobody picks up. Caller ID says Mason, OH. Just got called today 08/14/06 at 11:26am, got a human who said they were calling about a past due Macy's acct. My Macy's acct has never been past due and is paid off - zero balance. She got rude, told me to pay my bills and slammed down the phone.

I called Macy's who also shows no past due ever, no balance owed. They're investigating it but says it's not a collection agency they use. This is some sort of debt buyer who goes after people who supposidely owe old bills. Be careful, this is a scam agency.

I also have received numberous calls from this number. I started receiving them 8/9 and I have received a total of 5 calls. I have never answered them. When I call back, it is always a busy signal. I am going to talk to my cell phone provided about this, and block this number.

I had two missed calls today (8/9/06) from 513-573-2150, and I know that I received another call a few days ago. There was no message for any of the calls, and when I attempted to dial the number, I only got a busy signal.

I also lots of 'unknown' calls on both cell and home phone every day. They never leave a messages. I am on the national do not call list. I have no debts, so that can't be the reason.
I have also been receiving calls from a collection agency for a person I have never heard of. I explained this to them and then today received a threatening voicemail. I am going to the attorney gen'l with this.

this was a legitimate call for me. i am having furniture delivered and this was a delivery service for a major dept store confirming delivery time. i imagine this is a call center that has many businesses using a common number.

I recieved this number call me too. too bad, they are calling on my cell phone, but if it on my home phone I will lock it. If anyone with Qwest local , they had call rejection. Everytime if you receiving this number, just pick up you home phone, dial #60# and then dial #01#. that mean it will lock last call number, you could lock 15 number .so good luck all..

I will bet it is a collection agency. I have had calls from them all hours of the day and night, including saturday 2x and sunday nights. I have caller ID so I don't answer.

This number called me on saturday and wanted to speak with a particular person in my household. I told her that person wasn't home. I ask what she needed and if there was a message I could pass on. She replied that her name was Mrs. Black and gave a 1800 mumber. I asked if there was a problem and rudely she said the call was concerning personal matter with whom she wanted to speak to. Then she rapidly hung up. I received a call from the same number earlier in the week calling about a macy account that was supposedly late on payments. I had already paid the full amount due. I even checked with the real macy's customer service, and they too said I was up-to-date on payment.

Got a call from this number this morning at 11:09 am. I said "Hello" and all I got was silence. I said hello a second time and again, nothing but silence. Weird.

This is a call from the Pier One Imports Credit Card company. They are either calling about a late payment or returned mail. If you have any questions you can call 888-427-7253. Its the toll free # to the call center and ask to speak to a manager. :) Hope this helps you all!

asked for a person, I said they I dont have anyone here by that name she said how long have I had the number I said 3yrs so someone must have given you a wrong number on purpose. she hung up on me!

Same thing has been happening to me daily on both my cell and home line.

this is the second call i've received from them. i didn't realize i had a missed call until after i woke up but was called at 6.51 am, PST.
