How do I stop them from calling?
- Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
- If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the
FTC. - Block them with a call blocker:
Uniden DECT1288 blocks up to 20 numbers, plus Private and Unknown, with the reject tone, without ringing the phone.
Panasonic KX-TG106 blocks up to 30 numbers, plus all unidentified callers, with a busy tone, after the phone rings once.
JF Teck Caller ID with Ring Controller blocks up to 70 numbers, and can be set to always allow up to 100 to ring through.

Fax came through my office fax.... the same thing as the others stated... it's the scam that has been reported on TV news.
I wouldn't be surprised to find that 513-279-1543 is connected to a trojanned PC's faxmodem, and the scam artist scumbags are using its fax software to send this fax spam without the owner knowing it -- a new variant on the most common practice in e-mail spam. I've got three of them, all different, all of which just came in on the same fax machine one after the other. Greedy AND stupid.
Got the same 2 faxes as ETS on 9/15 - BTW area code 513 is in Cincinnati, OH - are they using some type of fax forwarding service?
That's right! I did receive one of those "silent money transfers" from this number and it was a fax...we really need to crack down on these people it's really frustrating!!
Received two faxes from this number at 9:22 pm and the next day at 2:48 am. The first was from Max Sisulu and the second, identical in wording though not in font, was from Chief Dr & Mrs. M Hlahane.
I confirm Marvin's comment. That is exactly was this is.
This is a fax with one of those "confidential money transfer" scams supposedly from a foreign civil servant.
