No legitimate charity raises funds like this. For legitimate charities, phone solicitations went out in the 1990s. Don't waste your money. If you want to donate, give it to legitimate charities rather than scam fund raisers.
called on 8/26/2010--called me by name (first and last) said he was a state trooper and before I knew what was going on he was telling me I would be receiving a donation envelope to donate to the state trooper foundation that is against drunk driving. Well, I'm against drunk driving but I'm also agains someone telling me they are sending me an envelope for me to donate. It's going in file 13 and if they call again, I will ask for their badge number--like I will get it!
He just called me also, He is just a but face.
The number on the receiving end is on the Do Not Call List.
When I asked for more information about what his donation was for, he started a fight with me. I am a cop, I want to know how this donation will benefit cops and their families. My wife told him not to call again because we are on the no call list.
