How do you get then to stop?

I was called twice by this number on my cell phone. My cell phone is also on the do not call registry. The first time they called, I used option 2 to be removed, they called back later that evening. I waited on hold (option 1) to speak with someone and they started trying to sell me on a mortgage. I told them they called my cell phone and I was on the do not call list, and they hung up on me before I could finish the sentence. I reported them to the FTC.

I had 3 calls in a row from this one. According to country code it is from Costa Rica. What the H.. reputable account service calls from Costa Rica??? I also have other numbers calling. I had to answer to see who it was a after all those phone calls but no one is there. I actually had them leave blank messages on occasion. I was hoping
not answering would discourage them, but 1 number is quite persistant for weeks no evern though I don't answer. What is the purpose? What are they actually hoping to gain by simply calling over and over. It's quite annoying.
I need to find a way if it exists or have the phone service actually restrict specific numbers like Spam e-mail

Claiming to have an offer to lower my interest rates. Number format suggests it might be an offshore number? I asked them to remove my number from their list after pressing one to speak to a representative. They called back the next day.

I've gotten three calls in two days. I think pressing 2 only encourages them. I've gotten the same calls on my landline, but from a different number. Now I'll simply hit the Busy button to send them to VM. Who are these folks, and where do these call originate? They are so stupid. My favorite is the one to extend my car warranty. My car is 20 years old. Might be too late for that!

I have been getting these calls for about a week. They really are jerks. When I answered, no one said anything, and then on the fourth or fifth "hello" they hung up.

The recording says that this is the last opportunity to lower our interest rate. It says to press 1 to speak to an agent. The agent answered, "Account Services." I told him I was on the Do Not Call list and he hung up before I finished.

They have have called my cell phone three times in a week. They do not sound like they are going to stop. When I do not pick up they do not leave a messgae.

We are getting the same calls here in NC from that number. We told them we were on the Do Not Call list and they laughed and hung up. Since then, we've gotten more calls. These people obviously have no respect for anyone's right to privacy. Wish I knew who they were so they could be reported (as if that might help!).

Account Services. They act like they are your credit card company and want to speak to you about lowering your interest rates. It says to press 2 to be removed from the list, but that does not work. Several calls a week from these people.

How do I stop them from calling?

  1. Ask the unwanted caller to stop calling and put you on their do not call list (they are legally required to comply).
  2. If your number is registered with the National Do Not Call Registry you can file a complaint with the FTC.
  3. Block them with a call blocker:
